Hello Friends,
I am in a retrospect mood about Kasauti Zindagi Kay. Well!!!!!!!!!!!!!! what do I say? I was in Australia for 5 long years. We did not get Star Plus there. Had there been Star Plus, I would have Kasuati Zindagi from the start. But as they say IT IS NEVER TOO LATE. It was only after I cam back to India in the year 2002, that I started watching Kasauti Zindagi Kay, it was during my brother's marriage time and it was actually my Sister-In-Law, who got the whole family in the house get addicted to Kasauti Zindagi Kay.
For the first time after years together, we as a family started watching Kasauti Zindagi Kay together. It was astonishing that one Ekta Kapoor serial on Star Plus could get us family to sit together and watch Kasauti Zindagi Kay. It was during the same time I got myself registered in India-Forums as whenever I missed any of the soaps especially Kasauti Zindagi Kay, I wanted to read the episode of the day or atleast watch it online even though the internet connections are slow and is the same even now.
We laughed together, we cried together. What wonderful characters were created by Ekta Kapoor. Even though Ekta might have done wrong things, got to admit it that so had done us a favor by getting our families and your families too together.
Characters
Molloy Basu, Mohini Basu, Nivedita Basu, Subroto, that Tamil Kaaki lady who acted as Subroto's mother and all others from Basu family.
From the Sharma's, Prerna's father & mother, Sekhar, Suman and Mithali who are all Prerna's siblings.
Then from Bajaj's - Menaka, Tushar, Vishaka, Kukki
But while writing history who can forget, Bajaj, Anurag & Prerna. Bajaj's character which was initially for hardly about a month to 45 days, created history of sorts in Indian television. It is probably the only character which came as a guest appearance and went on to become an all important lead in Kasauti Zindagi Kay.
There might have been deviations in the characters of Bajaj, Anurag and Prerna. Marrying, divorcing, marrying, fighting so on and so forth. But it was necessary to do this, as that is the only way TRPs would have been up. And after that, the roles of Sneha, Kasak, both Prems, Mukti & Devki and Palchin. These characters would be well etched in our memories forever.
The only bad part was the last 20 years leap, the characters were good, but the new actors did not know how to perform like the previous generation ones of Kasauti. Well neverthless, Kasauti would be an history which would be remebered down memory lane.
HATS OFF TO TEAM KASAUTI, includes all ACTORS, ACTRESSES, PRODUCERS, DIRECTORS, STORY WRITERS, SPOT BOYS for giving their 8 years of their life to this wonderful SOAP.
Now I am wondering that my family would break off again as KASAUTI is closed. I feel like crying. But I know that my wife who knows my infatuation for this serial is there to console me. I WISH THE SAD ENDING NEVER EXISTED. I WISH THIS SERIAL WOULD HAVE NEVER ENDED. Oh God Forbids be, I want to go to hell.
