Junior artistes are often hounded by the stray dogs that Ekta Kapoor has kept at Balaji's studios

Junior artistes in Balaji Telefilms' shows are working under inhumane conditions. "Agreed, Ekta Kapoor is dog lover but that does that mean that she should treat human beings like dogs, "fumes Prem Singh Thakur, vice chairman of the Allied Mazdoor Union.

Thakur says," There at least 20- 25 dogs outside Killick Nixon studio where all Balaji shows are shot. Most of the junior artistes are often attacked by these dogs when they are shooting in that studio."

He adds, "If the junior artistes try to shoo away the dogs, the security person who is hired by Balaji Telefilms yells at them saying, 'Kutton ko mat maro' (don't hit the dogs). Will they pay for the medical expenses when they are bitten by the stray dogs that have now been domesticated by them?"

While the actors have rest rooms and changing rooms, junior artistes who were shooting a song for Kasautii Zindagi Kay are forced to roam around in their costumes in between shots. The dogs often pounce on them at such times.

Thakur even explains why the junior artistes have to roam outside the gate of the studio," They are not provided any changing rooms and forced to change their clothes in the toilets. They continue to be in their costume as they don't have any resting rooms also. If they go and sit outside the studios, security persons of Balaji shout at them. It does look like they are hired to take care of the dogs and not human beings," fumes Thakur.

Junior artistes and other workers not only face this dog problem there are times they are made to shoot non-stop for 14 hours without a break.

"Just three days back we made a surprise visit on the sets of Balaji only to find out that the workers were not given a break. No one complained to me for the fear of losing their jobs in that studio. But I told them to stop work till they were given a one hour break for food and a few minutes of rest before they restarted the shoot. All the actors including Hiten Tejwani, Shweta Tiwari and dance director Habiba Rehman were cooperative and asked for a break. But the producers don't seem to have a heart," adds Thakur.

I hate dogs!But it sucks that the cast are being treated like them....😡

thanx for sharing!! i am shit scared of dogs myself!! now what song sequence were they taking about though??? is it thta gurukul party 1 or r we getting some more dances ?

one thing that iam scared of is dogs when i see a small one i run for my life 😆

dude a dog bit me like he just pounced on me and bit my right arm 😆 😆 😆
i was not scared but the scar is still there...my jacket that i had on...saved me...warna mujhe bhi na...injections padhte....

this is so wrong yaar...bechare junior artists 😭
