Aakashdeep Saigal (Eku) as Prem!

Despite the fact that Vikas Sethi is a good actor, by now (after his three episodes as Prem) we all know that he is unable to do justice to the role of Prem/UD. In fact, his acting yesterday was the most horrible imitation imaginable.

However, today I was thinking that if Manoj [Bohra] really does not want to come back, who could play Prem/UD better than Vikas Sethi?

And the answer came to my mind - Aakashdeep Saigal a.k.a Eklavya/Ansh of Kyunki.

What do you think? Perhaps Ektaa might read this and realize that what I am saying makes sense (and even the TRPs will go up). Otherwise, this show will fail spectacularly in the future.

Apart from Manoj Bohra, Aakashdeep Saigal is probably the only person who can do justice to Prem/UD role!

Akashdeep is a good actor but I'd prefer Amit Tandon (Manthan) as Prem. If Ekta wanted to replace Manoj with someone, she should have chosen Amit instead of Vikas. Akashdeep would have been fine too, although I can't really envision him as Prem.

Um, Sarah...

While I agree that Amit could be another better choice, I still think that Aakashdeep could give the same power to that role as Manoj Bohra did.

And to Vikas Sethi's fans, I would like to say that I do like Vikas Sethi in other serials (and roles). But as everyone has pointed out here, Prem can only be played by someone who is not conventional.

No offense meant, whatsoever.

Tum Logo ka Dimaag kharaab ho gaya hai
Aakaashdeep(Eklavya or Ansh) is Static psycho
MB(Prem/UD) is Dynamic Psycho
He can sing, joke in some modern style
I dont Think Aakaashdeep can do Prem's role

And what type of psycho does Vikas look like, Arda? Just a question.

Hiten_Fan,

I think you will agree that Aakashdeep has a broad range of facial (and therefore acting) expressions.

He can turn from good to bad (and back) almost instantaneously. Agreed that only Manoj perfected that (Prem/UD) role up till now.

But when it comes to Vikas, I think that Vikas is stuck up on his memory of previous roles as Abhir, etc. And somehow, he subconsciously shows those expressions (instead of what is needed for Prem/UD role).

That is the only thing I think Vikas needs to change for this particular role to make the audience feel more comfortable with the new Prem.
