Unbelievable. Why do we always seem to end up having arguments about this age-old topic? No matter how innocuous the original poster's comments may be, they are dragged into the dust and we have a AP vs. PRB mud-slinging match.
Wel, for what they are worth, here are my two cents.
Prerna and Anurag share a bond, it is undeniable. That bond is Prem, their first child, the first token and representation of their love. That child represents the innocence that their love once had, the joy and pleasures of it, and the hurt and agony of the death of their Prem, both literal and figurative.
It is true that Sneha, their second child, was also a part of their love (they were married and in love at the time she was conceived), but that relationship has been...tainted, almost, by Anurag's initial refusal to accept her as his own. No matter how much he loves her now, no matter what, there will always remain the fact that at one point, Sneha represented, even for a minute period of time, an unpleasantness in AP's relationship. Sneha soon became PRB's daughter more than she was AP's.
Prem 2 is a completely different matter. While the manner of conceiving him may be called "love-making", there was certainly no love between AP when he was conceived. He was merely an expedient instrument in saving Sneha's life, however crude and horrible that sounds.
So, taken in this light, Prem 1, is the only AP child who remains almost completely untainted by AP's fragmentary and volatile relationship. Even when they fought over him, he only tried to bring them together....
Add to this the fact that he died before he could grow up. No matter how many children a mother may have, be it 6 or 60, she will always remember and mourn the child she has lost...when Prem 2 was missing, she agonised over him day and night, despite being happy with her other children. Similarly, Prem 1 is the only child of hers who is not with her, constantly in front of her and that is why she remembers more than the rest.
So Prem 1 has a special, elevated presence in both AP's lives, which is why they are so frequently at Prem's samadhi. As to why Bajaj isn't there, well, Prem was in AP's life before Bajaj, also, he was with AP when Bajaj was presumed dead. Bajaj accepted him as his son in his will, but he was not there for Prem's every movement - Prem lived with Anurag. With Sneha, Bajaj was there every step of the way, which is why he cares for her more than his own children.
So, AP share a bond that nobody else shares with them, which is why Prerna requested Anurag to take care of Prem when she was gone, because she knows that Prem is the only part of their relationship that is solely theirs.
As for her love for Anurag, that love has graduated from a lover's love to a more mature, friendly love, one that acknowledges her past relationship with Anu and also knows that they will always be connected through their children.
But love, as we like to think of it, a lover's love, is reserved for Bajaj only. Again, her love for him too has graduated, from graditude to friendship to true, unfiltered love and longing for each other. This was CLEARLY visible yesterday, and while I am not saying that all Bajajians are always right, or that al Anuragians are this way, it is true that SOME AP fans are finding it hard to Let. Go. Of. The. Past.
Bajajians acknowldedge that there will always be a relationship between AP, but some (again, I am not generalising) AP fans cannot accept that Prerna can "dare" to love someone else.
Wow, bhashan devi is back! 😆 Sorry for the reaaaaaaaaaaaally long post!
Well said.👏👏👏
