First of all, my sincere condolences to all those who lost their lives or loved ones in the blasts in Mumbai and Srinagar - may their souls rest in peace. We must find a way to be strong and show togetherness in this time of need. The world is in danger; it is crying out for help and we must stick together - for the sake of humanity.
Now - another type of condolence is due - to the (foreseeable) end of that wonderful relationship that was probably just not meant to be - Prem-Mukti. It is a tragic way to end the love/hate relationship but one that I utterly accept and encourage - there is just way too much baggage between these two loser lovebirds: there is too much pain and too many mistakes, and I think it is time for a break. My prediction is coming true. Debo is making moves on Bajaj House (conveniently Prerna was kidnapped for only those two days in which Debo trapped Prem - she was brought back when there was no hope resolving the situation in any other way than marriage). Mukti is leaving - I commend her for this, I think she needs to get away from the bubble of pain that surrounds her, the ripple effect of which is felt by her Choti Maa, Mother India.
I think Mukti's decision is also good for Prem - one way or another. Either it will teach him the true value and importance of Mukti in his life, or he will finally be free to realise that he and Mukti were just never meant to be, and he can then also finally and permanently move on (as much as the premikas will hate this, it is true). Either way, I am hoping that Mukti's decision will bring the all-important finality. Who knows, maybe the break will do PM some good and force them to take a step back and look at thier own mistakes objectively, so that when they finally do meet, it will be as mature adults and not revenging, tantrum-throwing children. Who knows?
I have a major feeling that the previously much-dreaded leap will rear its ugly but necessary head in the weeks to come. Debo will become Mrs. Bajaj and wreak havoc on the Bajaj-Basu families; finally showing Mohini Basu her true sanksaar and causing her to regret her choice once again. Sam and AB will get married, but I hope that this time around Anurag's wife is not turned evil; he deserves some happiness and it is insulting for him to show that the only happiness he can get is from Prerna, and that consequently he is destined to grow old alone. I want Sam to be good - for Anurag's sake.
Maybe the woman who is orchestrating Debo and her deeds will finally make an appearance when Debo marries Prem - then she and Debo can rule the roost. What strikes me as weird is why Debo needed to trick Prem in order to make her entry into his house. She knows and he supposedly knows that he wants to destroy the two families - so all she had to do was strike up a deal with him and fake a marriage etc. in order for them both to destory those families. I guess even Debo is aware that what Prem says against his family is just his anger and hurt, rather than a full, focused master-plan. Prem is a liability, able and threatening to change allegiances every five minutes, so I suppose Debo takes care of that by keeping him in the dark too.
Wow, I haven't written a bhashan for a long time, but I felt that I had to get some of these feelings out. Today was a very sad episode; not only for PM fans, but also for fans of other people - PRB, Bajajians, Anuragians etc - after all, Debo is not going to spare even one of them. Their lives are under more risk than ever.
