Seen three:

Breakfast at Basu house with family and Kasak, Prem, Snaha and Sharath. "Uncle I tried to tell you yesterday but I could not get through you. It was not me who arranged to kill Mukti's baba. I swear." Then Sharath repeats hesitantly.

"I know – but who could want to do something like that?" Anurag asked.

"I don't know. Who ever it is very dangerous." Sam commented, the whole time Prem and Snaha looked shell shocked. "Lakin unko kaun ithna bada dushman hoga?"

"Who ever it is – I hope they don't hurt Mukti very badly." Mohini dadi added.

Seen four:

Guptha residence, "Shilandar kai ya kaam?" Kamini asked referring to Jevan's death.

"Nahi Kamini, hum na aisa kuch nahi kia. There is some one else who is involved." Shilandar himself could not take this in, he always had a soft corner for Mukti and could not see the pain she was going through who ever it was worried him a lot. Kamini interrupted his meditations, "Hum ko uski maa sa bath kara padaga. She should know."

"What can we tell her? Our son was not the one who killed you're husband it was some one else?" he asked.

"You are right, they won't believe us but what if Mukti is in danger as well?" Kamini enquired.

"She can take care of her self." Came a new voice, it was Guptha ji.

"Biya?" Shilandar got up, "Kya bath kar raha hai aap?"

"You don't know Mukti I know her since she was a child, she can take care of her self." He told them.

Part three: The Album Release

Seen one:

At Sammer's office he is busy talking to Josh about launching Mukti's album in the show it self, "Why not? That would be great, media coverage, live telecast – that would be good for my carrier at you're expense." He joked, knowing Josh, if he joked he approved.

"So that is final?" Sammer asked.

"Deal." Josh shook his hand.
After Josh left Sammer made a call, "Hello kam hogaya. Mukti would have the biggest boost to her carrier, there will be no turning back now." He said excitedly.

"Great, I am so happy that my friend is developing so well." it was Karan, the present marketing department in charge and a great mind behind the idea.

"Wait till Shravan hears this he will jump for joy." Sammer exclaimed, just then Shravan too walked in. "Hay he is hear – I will talk to you latter." Turning to Shravan, "Guess what Mukti is going to have her album released in Josh's concert, media coverage and all." A happiness lit on his face, he had always considered Mukti a sister and her life was his first preference.

"That is great! Does she know as yet?" Shravan asked.

"She will in a few minutes – hay you are our companies Public Relations person start planning on making this event a big one." Sammer told him.

"On my way, you won't believe how nicely this would turn out to be." Shravan too went.

Seen two:

Mukti is in the coffee shop with Karan and is slightly worried about meeting the press, "What if?" she began.

"Mukti – no one saw you're face and idiot, they would recognize you in the first one it self if they did…you were on practically every newspaper." Karan laughed at her idea, Mukti too smiled it away. Just then Prem and Sharath came in, they saw Karan and Mukti together, on a couch Mukti's feet were on top of the table nearby. His arm was on hers and clearly something was exiting them, Prem felt another surge of jealousy pass through him. Sharath took his arm and said, "Let us go some were else." But Prem was not paying attention…he was looking at the two small girls who worked up the guts to ask Mukti for her autograph. She smiled and gave them her autograph, she still did not spot Prem or Sharath, as he was dragged away. A lady walked up to Karan and Mukti, when she saw the face she felt surprised, "You are the lady from…"

"Mukti," Karan explained, "She is related to my cook I asked her to keep an eye on you. What is it you want more money?"

"No sahib, I came to tell you only this…my husband has got a good job in a place out of town so I will be going away. We can't do anything more for you." Karan said there was no need and gave that woman some money.

"Karan tum mara lia ithni sab kuch? Why?" Mukti asked.

"I just wanted to make sure you will be safe." Karan smiled at her.

Seen three:

In the car he hesitantly asked, "Do you think it would be best if we tell Karan first?"

"Prem why do you say that?" Sharath felt confused.

"I just thought well, he is very close to her and her family that is why…I thought he may be able to keep an eye on her." Prem looked down.

"We will see…" Sharath answered. He himself did not know what to do.

Seen five:

At Karan's hose, he is having dinner with his parents, (played by Kavya's mom from Kavya Anjali and Candy's dad from Asai Das Ha Mera) "You know I am so happy that Mukti is getting such a great boost to her carrier…" he goes on, they exchange smiles, they are the few who know about Mukti Kapoor – Mukti Dashmook thing but really like her. "I mean after all she has faced she raises like a phoenix from her own ashes – that is what I love about her." Karan's mother (Nadine) is very happy because finally her son is getting very responsible. His father (Alok) is also very happy that he is helping Mukti like this mainly because he finds her very affectionate and playful.

"You should see her when she is pulling a prank on some one – the other day she put colour all over the cooks face poor guy did not even know and came with the tea…everyone laughed at him." Karan was telling them, the only topic he spoke about was Mukti now. "But when she sings…wow…really a magic is created out of no were." Nadine looks at Karan and so does Alok, clearly both of them shared a special relationship.

"Beta…you tell us so much about her but you never bring her home bring her for lunch on this weekend." Nadine suggests.

"Mom I will see…you know how busy she is." Karan tried to dodge, unfortunately that is the time when Mukti decides to call Karan. "Hi Mukti. Mom was just talking about you…"

"And wants to talk to her." Nadine added, Karan repeated. "So why did you call?"

"Ask you about the program is it coming out well, we have only one month you know…" Mukti began.

"Yes everything is fine." Karan answers.

"Good now give it to you're mom I want to talk to her." Karan hands the phone to her. "Namastha aunty what is it you wanted?"

"Beta are you free on Sunday?" she asked.

"Yes…why?" Mukti enquired.
"Come for lunch – I really like to meet you so does uncle." She invited her and Mukti immediately agreed.

"Sure anuty, I can personally come and get the recipe for you're muli parata. I have been asking Karan to get if for me for the past three days." Mukti complained.

"I will beta…I will also make it for you." She offered and got a very sweet thank you from Mukti.

Seen six:

Mukti and Karan walk in, Alok and Nadine go and welcome Mukti by hugging her and kissing her forehead. She immediately liked the family and started getting closer to them. Nadine comments, "Mukti you look very beautiful."

"Aunty at least someone liked this dress." She looks at Karan who smiles.

"Beta he has no taste tell you – you look like an angel." Alok commented.

"Ya ya, angels dress in a black top, and colourful skirts for you." He teases his father.

"This one does," Alok takes Mukti and makes her sit next to him. Nadine too sits near Alok and Karan sits opposite when Mukti is showing her bangles to his mother. Some how he cant takes his eyes of her, Mukti on the other hand being the basanthi she is goes on about something or the other. Suddenly Alok asks her, "Mukti tumhari favorite song kaunsa hai?"

"Ya Ladka from Hum Kisi Sa Kam Nahi," Mukti answers.

"Patha nahi… sing it." Alok says, he knows what exactly she is talking about, but Mukti sings. Everyone applaud, "That was very nice beta."

"Mukti you are such a sweet girl…I feel as though you are an apna." Mukti who did not get what she really meant joked. "Anuty dyan sa…I will become so close that you will forget Karan is you're son. Ask Kumkum anuty – I mean Mr and Mrs Wadwa that is what happened with them."

"I am sure you will become a very great part of this house…now come I have made all you're favourites." And they go for lunch, half way through Alok asks Mukti; "Beta when you sing there is this enchantment how do you manage that."

"Uncle I worship music…that is why…it is my worship that comes out in the song not talent." Mukti answers and Nadine tears up, Karan looks at her steadily. His hand places on hers and it stays there for a moment. Finally it is time for Mukti to go, "By aunty thanks for the great lunch. By uncle I will see you soon."

Alok and Nadine, "By beta – Karan go drop her."

Seen seven:

Karan and Mukti are in the car, "Karan can I play the radio?" she requests.

"Sure anything you want." Mukti turns the radio on and the song from Chaltha Chaltha comes on. Mukti loves the song and sings along with it, Karan somehow is unable to concentrate on the road but manages to drive.

It was the day when Mukti's album was to be released, in a concert in the media live telecast. BTN – the event was going to be large. Now was the time for Mukti Kapoor to come to the press meet before the show this evening. The meeting consisted of Managing Director Sammer, Public Relations Director Shravan, Marketing Director Karan, (from the music company) Snaha and Sharath Guptha (from Atlantis.com) who were given the web marketing and broadcasting, Prem Sharma (from BTN) the start of the show had not yet arrived…for the meeting had not exactly begun as such. All the men looked wonderful and Prem to an extent scared. The news paper reporters, the media and the video coverage had been set up as people began tricking in. Karan stationed himself on a small table was reviewing his presentation one last time. Shravan was busy welcoming everyone and finding them a place, and making sure they were taken care of. Prem was in his own world, somehow he was not prepared to face this meeting. He was scared – his basanthi would be there; just she won't be his basanthi. Sammer was cursing himself for letting Mukti go with Sakshi to the temple. Snaha and Sharath on the other hand…were scared about meeting Mukti. A minute before the meeting was about to start a figure slipped in and whispered a, "Hi." Into Karan's ear. Mukti had arrived and Sammer let a deep breath out.

"What took you so long?" he mumbled smiling at everyone.

"Mama took a bit too long." She answered in the same manner.

Shravan in the mean time begun his speech, "Good morning ladies and gentlemen I open out to all of you a warm welcome for today's RHT meeting. We are glad to announce that another singer is to be launch through our company, Ms. Mukti Kapoor with her album Jab Hum Mila, loves passion. The album is to be released in the concert of the rock star Josh…" then each person comes and makes their speech, do all the formality, answer some questions, individually. At the end, Sammer says, "Now I would like to call upon Ms. Kapoor to speak about the show, in the absence of my dear friend, Josh." The press people now placed their attention on Mukti – they were blown away. All this time they had seen stars come on media in 'flashy' or 'too attention seeking' clothes she was in a,

with and hair set neetly around her....

Her complete image looked, "Formal and casual? Amazing." Whispered one of the reporters.

"That is so strange for a rock star, she must be really good." Another whispered and pin drop silence set as Mukti walked up to the spotlight. "Good morning ladies and gentlemen, as you have already been informed today would be release of my album Jab Hum Mila, loves passion. The songs consist of jive and speed that reflect the passion of love in a person that binds them towards another." Her words got nods from many reporters, and smiles, "The wonder of love, the pain love, when two become one…that ladies and gentlemen is Jab Hum Mila in a nut shell. I hope you enjoy listening to each song as much as I enjoyed singing each song. Anything more?"

"Yes, in a personal manner, do you believe in love?" a reporter asked.

"Love is the emotion that created us…how could I not believe it?" Mukti countered, a flicker went within Karan's eyes at that moment.

"How do you feel that you're performance is going to be aired live?" another person asked.

"That tells me I should be extra careful with my performance." Mukti answered.

"Ms. Kapoor you have in a way gained instant fame – how do you respond to it in relation to you're album?" the one who was blown over by her dress asked.

"I think that is something you would have to ask Shravan, he can meet his deadline with more ease I hope." She answered and smiled at Shravan who smiled back at her. A spark of anger went though Prem as he clenched his firsts…they ached to go on his neck. Everyone in the room laughed.

The section was over and everyone started taking leave…in the parking lot Sharath and Prem caught hold of Karan. "Karan sun, it is very important…" Sharath told him all about how it was someone else who killed Mukti's dad.

"Kya, you guys are not lying right?" he asked.

"Nahi. But you have got to let her family know." Prem requested and Karan promised he would.

"I have got to go, I will see you latter." He said and went away, looked worried.

This is regarding my Dark Shadows fan-fic, I know it is not exactly 'good' now just please bare with me and encourage me…you see after a few parts there is this big twist (concerning Snaha) that changes the course of the story completely. So please read…and do let me know you have done so…Umm I have posted another part.

Mukti too walked towards her car, when her mobile rang, "Hay Navya."

Navya told her, "I saw you're interview very good show Mukti – ready for tonight?"

"You ready? Because you are the one who is doing the dizziness for this concert at well." she remained her.

"Yes – actually I was wondering if you would model some clothes for me, I need them photographed." Navya explained, "I know the rate and the check will be ready the moment you complete."

"Anything for you darling." Mukti told her as she took out her planner and added it in her schedule.

"Thanks – see you on Wednesday." Navya cut the phone and so did Mukti. Just then Karan was also coming, "Hay Karan." She called out, "Navya just booked me for a photo shoot. In this rate I am going to need a manager." She joked…

"Sure, I will see what can be done." Karan added with a wink. He decided not to tell her for now, time was not right.

Evening, The concert:

The stage has a show of lights of different colures, suddenly everything does dark, and the only small lights are seen moving around the lines

other lights are switched on…still dim but dancers are viewed. All of them healed a candle (with a pot) in their hands, dressed alike in…white skrit and tops, the line

with candle in hand.

Each word she sung strung into Prem's heart. She seemed to be singing for him, asking him to come back…she danced with the candle beautifully. By the line "Phasla duri thi…" she was the only one with a candle. Holding it with one hand the other doing the expression, desperately trying to keep it lit in the 'rain'. She danced around the stage, as though in ecstasy. Prerna and Bajaj who were there looked on shocked and surprised she had blown everyone to the ground. At the end of the song, Mukti started moving back and went of stage, the girls began dancing for the song Nasha Ya Pyar and Josh comes in stage in a there are many girls surrounding him first instrumental gap...Mukti appears again, this time in a

When he sings that "Jab sai…" Josh pulls Mukti closer and bends her down in his arms. Prem's jaw dropped because Josh did not let her come up normally but then suddenly the song Band Mera Pairomai came on…and Josh practically lifted her up before setting her down again and the two of them danced. All through the song both of them had a certain amount of romantic moves…the people around too had changed but two people did not notice. Karan and Prem she was too wonderful…finally the stage cleared and the announcer came on, "Good evening ladies and gentlemen, I hope you enjoyed the 'traditional' part of our show so far…now for the next more bolder part of the show. Ladies and gentlemen put you're hands together for the Mukti as goes, Doom Machala for you…the whole crowd goes wild when Mukti comes out in a

with jeans. When she sang somehow a part of her that she hid came out. Only Prerna noticed this…she struggled and won in her interior battle and continued to work her magic. That was when Prerna saw how much she had hurt her daughter. The amount of pain she had caused at that very moment – she lost that little girl she loved for ever.
