KkavyAngad, I agree with most of the things u have said except Accusation#3. The example u have given is valid on its own, but it does not really relate to Prem and Mukti's case. U are right, if a guy invites a girl @ midnight and she gets raped on the way he is not responsible for it. There would be only 2 people responsible. The rapist ofcourse and secondly the GIRL HERSELF because regardless of what the guy said she took a risk of travelling @ midnight alone to his place. We all are responsible to some extent to take care of ourselves and when we get attacked/injured by our own carelessnes then we are also responsible to some extent for whatever that happend to us. However, in Prem-Mukti case, Mukti was drugged by prem, therefore putting her in a situation where she COULD NOT take care of herself. Had she been in her senses she could have called for help and saved herself, not to mention in that case Shared wouldn't even have approached her. Mukti was in her own home surrounded by atleast a hundred people including her own family. In her normal condition Mukti had not put herself at risk. BUT PREM PUT MUKTI AT RISK KNOWINGLY!! He may not have known or realised things could get that bad for her but atleast he should have realised that in her condition she can get hurt. At the very least after drugging her he could have kept an eye on her. Anyway, drugging somebody in itself is a criminal offence.

Yes, you're absolutely right. It's downright DISGUSTING to think some of us -- forget the guys, some of teh females themselves -- are blaming the woman who got raped and supporting the man who caused her rape. I simply don't understand this... what the hell does her rape have to do with whether she slept with Prem or not? Does sleeping with Prem imply that she hereforth lost all rights on her body and she is "public property"? So she slept with Prem, and moved on... how the hell does Sharad -- a married man, and to top it off her bestfriend/sister's husband -- have the right to force her???

We need to realize that drugging women at parties is a SERIOUS crime! Prem would be a PRIME SUSPECT for her rape because i.) he induced secretly a date-rape drug in her drink after which she got raped, and ii.) h threatened her the night of the rape. What a stinking bas***d!

And someone put it very nicely as why Prem is to be blamed for Mukti's problems...coz he put her in a position (drugged her) so that people can take advantage of her. If he did not drug her, then Sharad would not have raped her.

Actually, I have to disagree even though I don't want to... Sharad would not have raped her that night, but in my opinion he would have hurt her or raped her some day eventually. He was always too flirty, too touchy with Mukti. Made me soooo uneasy!

I think he is definitly to be blamed and psawyer and broken heart have mentioned all the points!

He got Karan to play around with Mukti's feelings just because she was creating obstacles in his way that too for everyone's benefit.
I don't think any of his actions are close to being justified!His character has gone far downhill and has stopped extremely low. You cant blame Mukti for suspecting him, he threatened her then drugged her!

Yeah, Sharad, the sicko that he is, would have eventually raped Mukti if not that night...its Prem's post-rape behavior that is really sickening...of course if Mukti wasn't raped that night he drugged her, but another night by Sharad, he would have still helped Sharad...and that is definitely disgusting...
