Hi Abhilasha,
The update was fabulous as usual. Bani's happiness on being pregnant is adorable... she finally has someone to call her own who will never leave her. I am a bit confused as to why she was upset to hear Jai say humara baccha.. I guess she thinks and wants something only for herself coz if it belongs to jai also there is a possibilty of Jai taking it away from her. I love Jai's effort to make her realise that its their baby something that binds them together.
Thanks popeye... i thot it would be natural for Bani to feel in such a way. As for saying it is her baby.... she is insecure of everything in life...
The pav bhaji part was very cute.. jai and adityas efforts to make bani feel comfortable and them finishing off her pav bhaji only to have masi and dadi admonishing them was cute.. I hope Bani starts to get more comfortable around them. I want Bani and Jai to get closer... they seem to love each other so much I hope and wish they realise it soon. Jai defnitely gonna make his efforts to make her realise it is their baby... lets c what happens...

Part 19
With the news of arrival of her baby, Bani's dreams and imaginations started to regrow. Each and every imagination and dream she had, her baby was an important part of it. She changed her dreams and imaginations to accommodate the arrival of her baby. She always rested her palm on her belly so as to feel its presence each and every second of the life. She felt that there was reason worthwhile to live her life, enjoy her life, cherish her life. She started to see colours in front of her eyes. Colors… which she had run away from… Colors… which she was scared of… Colors… which she had dreamt of… Those colors started to become a part of her life. She started visualizing colors in everything she saw.
But alas! Jai was lost somewhere in her dreams. The dream of staying with Jai and his family got lost somewhere as she cherished her new-found relation. She did not want to share the new relation with anybody. She wanted the whole relation for her. She smiled to herself whenever she thought about her baby. She ate her food in time, without Jai reminding her. She spoke with her baby whenever she was alone in her room. She spoke with her baby, when she went for a walk in the garden. She started to visualize her future with her baby. Love started to bubble in her inner self for her baby. Her life long longing to love someone developed feelings unknown to her and it gleed her. She shared her dreams for her baby with the baby. Above all, there was always a smile on her face.

Jai was left alone in this matter. He felt literally left out. He did not know whether to be happy seeing Bani happy or to cry out considering his situation. He wanted someone with whom he could share his insecurities… with whom he could share his fears… with whom he could share his inner feelings… He was not able to digest the fact that he was not able to claim his baby as his. But seeing Bani with her vibrant enthusiasm made him feel less burdened… but the disappointment was still there… He missed his mother a lot. He wanted to keep his head on his mother's lap and cry out all the thoughts scrambled in his mind.

After he had taken Bani to their room that evening, he got to see the happiest mood of Bani. She talked about everything about the baby. How she wished to grow up her baby… How she wished to take care of her baby… Her eyes sparkled in extreme joy. What worried him the most was, dream of her and her baby… Her dream to spend her life with her baby in Aligarh…
"Pata hai… Main Aligarh jaake kaam karoongi… bahut kamaoongi aur apne bachche ko khush rakoongi…" She said gleefully.
Jai just kept looking at her. After sometime, he asked, "Tum Aligarh chali jaogi, toh mera kya hoga?"
"Aap ko? Aap ko kya hoga?" Bani asked.
"Mera khayal kaun rakhega? Aur mera kaun hoga, Bani?" Jai asked.
"Aapke toh bahut saare log hai… Aapke parivaar hai… Aapko kuch nahin hoga…" she said as if consoling him.
How he wished he could say, 'Tumhare bina mera kya parivaar hai, Bani?' Alas! He couldn't speak it out…
He changed the topic. "Toh doctor ne kya kaha?" Jai asked.
"Doctor ne mujhe sahi waqt par khane ko kaha hai… Phir… medicines di hai khane ko… Phir…" she thought for a while, then said, "Bas itna hi kaha hai…" Bani said.
"Toh tumhein pata hai na ki tumhein kya karna hai?" Jai asked.
"Haan… main waqt par khaaongi… aur medicines bhi loongi…" Bani said.
"Good… Main ek kaam karta hoon. Main doctor se ek appointment fix karta hoon. Hum jaake tumhari full check up le lete hai. Teek hai?" He asked her.
Bani nodded her head. Jai hugged her lightly and placed an affectionate peck on the top of her forehead. Bani smiled and buried her face in his chest. Jai placed his chin on the top of her head wondering what to do.

After Jai left for study, Bani spoke with Pushkar and blackmailed him to send some or other assignment. When she asked him about her sketches, he informed her that he had given them to Jai.
"Main bahut khush hoon…" Bani said.
"Lag raha hai…" Pushkar chuckled on the other side.
"Lekin mujhe bore ho rahi hai. Koi mujhe kaam nahin karne de raha hai…" she whined.
"Achchi baat hai na… Aaraam karo. Live like a princess…" Pushkar laughed.
"Main princess nahin hoon. Aur tum yeh baat jaante ho." Bani gave back.
"Bani, mazaak kar raha tha." Pushkar said.
"Mujhe kaam karna hai. Apne bachche ka khayal rakhna hai…" Bani explained him.
"Jai Sir hai na?" Pushkar asked slowly.
"Woh hain toh kya farq padega? Kab tak woh mere khayal rakhenge? Aakhir mein mujhe apne khayal rakna toh hai na?" Bani said.
Pushkar felt something was not right. He felt he needed to talk to Jai. He said, "Teek hai baba… do din ka waqt do. Main assignment bhijwata hoon. Khush?"
"Do din?!" Bani exclaimed.
"Haan… do din…" Pushkar said.
"Do din kya karoongi?" Bani wondered aloud.
"Do din aaraam karna." Pushkar suggested.
Bani got irritated. Then she remembered her sketches. "Teek hai… Pushkar, mere sketches wapas bhej dena please."
Pushkar frowned. "Tumhari sketches?"
"Haan… kyun? Kuch ho gaya kya?" Bani asked.
"Lekin, maine toh sketches Jai Sir ko de di!" Pushkar said.
Bani frowned. "Lekin… unhone toh nahin bataya!"
"Fikar mat karo. Kaam mein bhool gaye honge. Pooch lena baad mein." Pushkar said.
"Teek hai." Bani said.
"Teek hai. Main chalta hoon. Baad mein call karta hoon. Tum apna khayal rakhna. Samjhi?" Pushkar said.
"Main apna khayal rakh toh rahi hoon. Saare log aise kyun bhol rahe hai?" Bani asked.
"Isliye taaki tum apna khayal zyada rakh sako." Pushkar smiled.
Bani twitched her lips.
"Okay. Bye!" Pushkar said.
"Bye!" Bani disconnected the call.
She was little disappointed that she had no work to do. Suddenly, she remembered her sketches. She made a mental note to ask Jai about her sketches. Later, it slipped out of her mind. Right now, she cherished her motherhood. She felt she had been blessed with bliss.
She looked around the room. She noticed her childhood picture on the night-stand. A smile appeared on her face. She was looking happy and little shy in that picture. Suddenly she thought, whether her baby would be like her. The thought was replaced with another with the same speed it had occurred in her mind – No, her baby would not be like her. Her baby would be good. It would be the best baby in the world. No one would raise their finger on her baby. She won't let anyone harm or hurt her baby. Her baby… She would give all the love to her baby. Her baby would definitely not be like her. Her mind travelled to the past and to future with her baby.

On the other hand, Jai was left brooding in the study. He did not know what to do. He remembered her face when he said "humara bachcha". He leaned on his chair and shed silent tears.
He wanted his wife… But was that too late? Did he lose for ever?
He wanted his family… But how would it be without his wife and… and his baby?
He knew very well, he had ignored Bani for long and tortured her silently. But how was he going to gain her? How damn it?

Dinner went silently in Jai's terms. But to Bani, she ate as much as possible so that her baby would not starve. But later, she threw up everything out. She patted her baby and said silent 'Sorry' to it.
At night, before she went to sleep, Jai gave her a glass of milk to drink. Though, she did not like its smell, she did not give a hard time to Jai. Jai watched her drinking the milk with medicines. Her over-attachment with their baby worried him a lot. After she finished drinking, Jai made her lie and patted her to sleep. He stayed by her side till her breath came out at normal speed. Then, he covered her with the sheet. He leaned on the bedside and watched Bani sleeping. After sometime, he joined her under the covers and went to sleep hugging her.
The one thing which he realized at that time was – 'He needed her very badly…'
