Hello friends this is my first Short story and also it was a dream of mine, a very weird dream but you'll see as the story unfolds.
A Clean Slate
Deb house (London)
Aparajit Deb strides down the stairs of his house with his wife in tow.
"Yes Mr. Mehra I'll have those papers faxed to you as soon as I get to the office, bye."
He ends the call and turns to his wife.
"Will you be coming home late today, I mean I was just asking because maa will be coming today you don't have to I can handle it" she begins to blabber.
"Ganga, we've been married for 2 years now and you are still afraid to open up to me".
"No it's nothing like that Mr. Deb I just didn't want you to think that.."
"Think that you were trying to control me, Ganga this marriage is fake but we have an understanding between us, right"?
"Yes, Mr. Deb", Ganga smiles.
"Good then please don't be afraid to talk to me openly, and to answer your earlier question, yes I will be coming home early, okay now im late enough as it is so see you in the evening"
"What about breakfast", asks Ganga.
"I'll get something on the way", replies Aparajit.
Ganga mumbles "Yeah right like he ever remembers to eat, I'll just have to send a tiffin".
She smiles to herself realizing many things have changed in the past couple of months. Her feelings for Mr. Deb began to change, she figured out she was married to a very kind hearted man, sure he showed a rock hard exterior to others but at home to his sisters and mother he was a child at heart and if he was ever rude it was only to those that deserved his wrath. At this point their 15 year age difference didn't mean anything anymore (yes AD is younger than JW in this fic). Yes, she now knew what her mother had felt for her father, unfortunately her father had not returned his love for her mother.
Walia Mansion
Jai Walia sat in his room staring at the picture of his little girl running his fingers across her face and giving her a kiss.
"Where are you my sweet angel, its been years please come back to papa and forgive me".
Meera walks in with his tea and sits beside him. "You're thinking about ganga again aren't you, jai it's been years, she doesn't want to be found".
"shut up just shut up, ganga is my daughter you got that, I know its been a long time but she will come back home eventually AND don't forget you are in this house because of bani's last wish, I don't have to answer to you"
With that said Jai walks off to the adjacent room where hang pictures of his bani and her memories.
"Bani I wish you were here with me maybe then we would both be together and our angel ganga would be with us, please bani I need your help to find her it's been too long now I want our ganga back"
Back at Deb House
"Ganga beta where is your husband, even after marriage he comes home late", says Badi maa.
"Maa he should be coming I think he had a lot to do today", replies ganga.
"No that's not true, im late because I had to pick up these" Aparajit pulls out pink and purple roses and hands them to his mother and then takes out some baby pink orchids for his wife.
"Thank you Jeet", says ganga blushing.
Aparajit smiles "Youre welcome".
"You both are still so formal with one another, you know you are husband and wife right", says badi maa.
"Maa please you are embarrassing your bahu, we both are fine, how are you".
"I am fine also, when you make me a grandmother then I will be out of this world happy but I don't think that will be anytime soon, right jeet".
Ganga thinks up an excuse to leave the room, "Um I will bring you some water Jeet".
"Maa please Ganga is not ready and neither am I, please don't press on this", says Aparajit.
"Okay fine, but beta when will you two be ready, it's been two years and I can see there is still an awkwardness between both of you, is it Ganga is she…"
"Nahin maa ganga is great, it's me I'm not ready to have a baby and we're in no rush to become parents".
"Jeet here is your water", ganga says.
"Thank you Ganga".
After dinner everyone retires to their own room and Aparajit and Ganga are stuck sleeping together in one room because of maa.
As ganga is getting ready for bed she cannot help but stare at her husbands muscular build, he looked way too young to be 38.
"Ganga Ganga GANGA!"
"huh", she replied.
"where were you lost"
"sorry you were saying"
"oh I was wondering if you could give me a shoulder massage, I don't know but yesterday I think I slept in a funny position and my necks been hurting all day as well"
"umm yeah sure I don't mind"
"im sorry I know you must be tired, forget I asked I'll just ask one of the maids to do it quickly"
"NO"! shouts ganga, not liking the image of one of the maids touching her husband.
"I mean no I really don't mind, give me the balm I'll do it"
"thanks do you prefer the bed or do you want me to sit in a chair"
"um the chair is fine"
While massaging her husbands shoulders ganga's mind begins to wander off and thinks about how Mr. Deb would react if he knew her feelings for him would he love her back or tell her she's crazy and kick her out.
Meanwhile Aparajit begins to think about whether or not ganga realizes what shes doing to him, her warm hands were creating a havoc in his body, it took all his self-control not to turn around pick her up and take her to bed and….but wait was it all just physical needs or was it more. Ganga has put up with a lot of his crap and not many other women would deal with it the way she did, ganga truly was one in a million however reality bites and he knew a 23 year old girl would not want anything to do with a 38 year old man.
"Um Mr. Deb does that feel any better"?
"Huh, oh um yeah it does actually thanks ganga"
"Mr. Deb you don't have to thank me over and over again, you have done so much for me already this is the least I could do".
Well that answered his questions that were roaming around in his head, she was only grateful to him for helping her in her time of need, nothing more.
With that Aparajit took his pillow and blanket to go sleep on the couch, ganga felt bad and asked him to sleep on the bed since it was big enough for both of them, however he replied that he didn't want her to feel uncomfortable and he wanted to sleep on the couch when the real reason was he wasn't sure if he could keep his hands to himself sleeping in the same bed as ganga.
Ganga took his reply as an answer to her question as well, she was nothing more than a fake wife to him.
Are you guys creeped out….i'll discontinue the story if you are cuz when I woke up I thought it was weird as well
