Chapter 21:
Bani and Jai had their breakfast with the whole family and then they went to see the doctor as it was time for Jai's routine check up … Jai and Bani sat at the back… while the driver drove them to the hospital…
Doctor: please have a sit Mr. and Mrs. Walia …
Doc: so how are you feeling Mr. Walia … Is there anything you want to inform me about which is unusual … and of course are you taking all your medicines on time … coz you have a very bad habit of missing your pills …
Jai: no doctor there is nothing wrong with my health … I'm perfectly fine …and I do not miss any of my pills… I take them regularly …
Doc: I'm very glad to hear it Mr. Walia… Doctor couldn't finish his sentence when Bani cut in saying …
Bani: doctor please don't listen to him … he's a very big liar … oh my God Jai … how can you lie about your health … you are not well … not well at all … doctor please listen to me … and just ignore him … I'll tell you the truth …
Jai: Bani … listen sweetheart I'm fine really … trust me … and I'll make you understand everything sweetie once we are out of here … whispered Jai on Bani's ear …
Bani: Jai … stop whispering and let me finish talking …
(Jai thinking great … who would want an enemy when you have a wife like Bani…)
Bani: doctor last night Jai had a terrible headache … and he had this headache before as well … and I am not sure if previously he has taken all his medicines regularly … but now I'll make sure that he never misses his pill …
Doc: thanks for letting me know Mrs. Walia … I wasn't aware of this headache issue … he never told me about that before … saying that he took Jai with him to another side of the room and did some examinations … after some time they came out …
Doc: Mrs. Walia … there are some thing you will personally will have to look into … please take good care of his diet and make sure he eats only healthy food and one more thing that I need to tell you both … I'm sorry but this suggestion of mine might offend you … but as a doctor it is my duty to take good care of my patients well being …
Bani: what is it doctor?… is it something serious … doctor please tell me …you are scaring me … is everything ok … Jai are you ok…
Doc: well Mrs. Walia… Mr. Walia very well knows what I'm talking about … but it seems like you are not aware of it …
(Jai felt a bit embarrassed but was mad at the doctor coz he didn't wanted Bani to know about this …this would make her more worried about his health…also he himself wanted to tell Bani about it … but this doctor … aahhh…)
Doc: …I just wanted to let you know about it … because I do not trust Mr. Walia … (at this comment Jai wanted to kill the doctor…but unfortunately he cant'…) …and he is very careless with his health so you should know that … until Mr. Walia is fully well it will not be a good idea for you guys to have any sort physical intimacy … I hope you understand what I'm saying Mrs. Walia…
Bani: Bani went red hearing this but she had to face the situation maturely…yes doctor whatever you say will be considered carefully … and I will make sure Jai takes his medicines on time and his diet will be strict as directed by you…… saying Thank you to the doctor both Jai and Bani left hospital … Jai wanted to talk to Bani… but she was angry at him for some reason… and there was driver with them so he couldn't talk to her while they were on their way home …
When Jai and Bani left the doctor's cabin … the doctor received a call…
Doc: hello… yes I have done your job… plz take care of my payment…
Caller: don't worry doc …you will receive your money…and well done for doing a perfect job… and the line got disconnected………
When they went home Masi and everyone else asked… what did the doctor say about his health … Jai as usual lied saying he was well … this made Bani even angrier and she went to kitchen leaving Jai and whole family chatting away … Jai was sure …tonight he will be dead meat … how will he make her listen to him … and her anger was making the Great Jai Walia scared like hell……………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………
Bani didn't speak to Jai through out the whole day … she prepared special diet food for him … with less oil and less masala as instructed by doctor … Jai poor guy didn't even complaint about the food and tried to finish off the food which were on his plates only to please Bani … but unfortunately Bani was still mad … she interacted with everyone but it seems like he doesn't exists … he's invisible for her … he tried to build up conversation with her … but she would just ignore him … there was a cold war going on between the two of them …
Daksh's flight has landed and he decided to check into a nearby hotel…he was very tired from the journey so…decided to take some rest & from next morning he would start his search for Bani…as it was very late at night........
Later in the night Jai and Bani went to their room … Jai was about to start talking …when the phone started ringing …so Bani picked it up….and it was Rano calling her sister …
Bani: hello … haan Rano… I'm fine … how r u…how's mom and dad…
Rano: everyone's fine Di …. We r just missing you…Di am I disturbing you …
Bani: Rano … you are not disturbing us … and I'm missing you too … she turned a bit emotional by talking to Rano…
Rano: Di please no more crying and don't get so emotional … Di today Pushkar came to our house… and we talked for hours…
Bani: you seems to be taking a lot of interest in Pushkar… hmm… so what is it… you like Pushkar…tell me … she was teasing Rano… and Rano was blushing hearing the comment how does her Di know about it…
Rano: Di please stop it… its nothing like that… (but Bani was smart enough to understand her sister's feelings….) and tell me where is Jiju … and how's he …
(Now Bani got annoyed as she remembered Jai's behavior … being very sarcastic… she started speaking to Rano a bit loudly so Jai would hear what she's talking about)
Bani: Rano your Jiju is so sweet what can I say about him… the less I say the better it is … he takes such good care of himself … and on top of that he is very co-operative … always listens to what doctor tells him to do … he never lies to anyone … Bani looked at Jai's direction and saw his sad face … this made her stop …
Rano: Di please don't be so harsh on Jiju it hasn't been one day of your marriage and you two have started fighting … now give the phone to Jiju … I want to speak to him …
Bani said her byes to Rano and handed the phone over to Jai and went to bathroom to change …
Rano: hey Jiju how r u? … is my Di troubling you … well best of luck to you … as she is very difficult to handle when she's angry … she's very good at giving people silent treatment you know…
Jai: thanks a lot Rano …for making me more scared by informing me about such good qualities of your sister … Rano plz help me how do I console her … so that she would forgive me… you know Rano she hasn't spoken to me since morning …
Rano: Jiju …just give her some time … and try to make her feel guilty …try acting ill or something …and you will see she will come running to you…coz she won't let you suffer all alone… do you understand what I mean …haan…
Jai smiled at Rano's idea…
Jai: thank you Saliji… you are full of brilliant ideas…and now you go to sleep and I'll try to execute your brilliant plan on your Di… I'll let you know of the results… good night…
Rano: trust me Jiju this is the best full proof plan which will never fail …as I myself have used this plan many times … (both Jai and Rano laughed at their plan) … good night Jiju and all the best….
