Rano ka yehi ichha hai....Bani turned to drag herself slowly into her roam…if Rano wants it, she has to get ready…

Bani and Rano were the two daughters of the Dixit Household of Mt Abu…they were the only girls of the house amongst many brothers, loved & pampered by all….Raghubir Dixit was head of the family, he and his three brothers were traders in Mt Abu, owners of few shops etc, well off than others but nothing compared to the 'Walias'. Though Raghubir and his brothers were upset on Rano's decision to get married to her 'internet friend' but they have accepted the idea now.. Naya zamane ka naya tarika, atleast Rano claims to know the boy well inspite of limited meetings, they understand each other as they have endless amount of chats and conversations, ….the family is well known, hopefully this time nothing will be wrong as the family has learnt a very hard lesson with Bani, with Rano they wanted to be extra careful, lekin after all marriage is a gamble, some risks have to be taken….

Kiran was zipping Bani's choli, and placing her long hair wrapped with gajra on her back…Bani shivered a bit as Kiran's fingers touched her bare skin…she controlled herself and asked….Ma kuch dekhai toh nehi de raha hai….
Kuch nehi dekhai de rahi hai beta, maine theek se cover kar diya hai…
Khisak toh nehi jayega…
Nehi beta….nehi khiskega…dekh toh aina me tu kitna sundar lag rahi hai...Bani raises her eyes only to lower it within a second…turns to leave the room….

The Walia family was given a traditional welcome as they entered the Dixit household with tray full of shaguns…though they were apprehensive as the community was different from their own but soon their inhibitions got dissolved seeing the warmth of the Dixit family…Masi and Dadi soon got to know the Dixit Bahus, their simplicity, much different from the city women they got to know mainly, as Aditya, Masi, Dadi and the children mingled with their to be relatives, Jai stood in one corner, making polite conversation with the people assembled, he was not good in these sort of gatherings but still was making an effort, for the sake of Ranveer and Masi…while his sister Jigyasa, looking at the activities with an artificial smile on her face, Jai darted a glance towards her, his temper was rising, he was still making an effort but look at her, inspite of Ranveer's strong stand to get married to the girl of his choice, Jigyasa is yet to accept the idea that Ranveer is getting married to a girl below their status, well Jai also accepted the fact, but it was Ranveer's choice and he will stand by Ranveer, as it is his life, he should be happy…

As the group of dancers took the floor in middle of the courtyard to set tempo for the evening, Jai stepped back to watch two girls coming to take their place, one was the to be bride as Jai had seen her picture, the other one, the soft and serene was looking uncomfortable to be in the centre of attention standing a bit behind her sister or friend, with her eyes lowered darting a glance at their direction from time to time but not holding their gaze
Soon everyone was dancing, Rano and Ranveer were having a blast, Masi and Dadi soon got up to join the group, Aditya demonstrated his famous bhangra steps, Jai smiled and encouraged him to carry on, while Jigyasa sat stiffly in one corner, refusing to join….Jai decided to talk to Jigyasa, signaled her towards a corner and waited for her to join him…she will come he knew, she might be a lot older than him but she does not defy him openly….
Yeh Keya ho rahe hai Jigyasa, muh latka kar kiyu baithi ho...
Don't tell me you don't know the reason Jai Bhai…
Yes I know, but think about Ranveer…
I am thinking about him only, uska koi kheyal nehi aya hamari status ka…

Jai's patience snapped….Jigyasa, whether I am enjoying it or not is not the issue, I am here for Ranveer and Ranveer only, you should also think about that only…Jai tried to keep his voice low and firm, looked into Jigyasa's eyes for one last time to turn….he came face to face with the other girl, she was carrying a tray of sweets, she must of heard a bit of his conversation with Jigyasa as she was within the hearing distance but then why is she looking so frightened, he was angry with his sister but whatever he said was very logical…anyway why bother…

Masi and Dadi watched Bani serving the guests, supervising the servants, carrying out orders of the senior ladies of the house…
Dadi nudged Masi, billo keya tu dekh rahi hai jo mai dekh rahi hu…

Rano toh didi didi kar rahi ...
Thora saimi saimi hai, dari huyi, shayad itna logo ke samne koi galati na ho jaye...

Bani was busy serving and taking care of the guests, this kept her mind away from other thoughts which usually occupy her mind during other time, on hearing Jai Walia's angry voice, she was perturbed, nevertheless she tried to calm herself, she kept an eye on Kiran, her mother, once she is free, she will share the same with her, not that Kiran will do anything other than reassuring her that these things are normal and she should accept them, but it felt good to share with someone, specially after the horrifying experiences of her life, her bottled up feelings, her inability to share for many days until recently when her mother broke her barrier, now Kiran ensured Bani did not keep anything inside her…

Mala Chachi watched out for Masi and Dadi's reaction, they wanted to know about Bani, well she has informed them about her what the family now normally says to others about her condition…

Kiran watched her daughter falling asleep in the early hours of the morning, she pulled the covers and watched Bani's serene face for sometime, finally Bani could come out amongst so many unknown people and participate in the function, though she avoided dancing, she served snacks and sweets to the guests, made polite conversation etc., she was upset with Jigyasa, Rano's to be mother-in-law and reported to kiran the conversation she overheard between Jai Walia and his sister but Kiran assured her, Rano will be fine, Ranveer loves her and all mothers in general have problem in accepting that their son will now get married and love some other woman, tu dar maath Bani, dekhna Dadi aur Masi hai, kitne achhe hai who, Adityaji bhi ….ek Jigyasa keya kar lega aur toh aur unke bhai bhi unke saath nehi de raha hai…sab kuch theek hoga, tu chinta maath kar…

The persistent ringing of the intercom woke Jai Walia,
