A/N: This Chapter is dedicated to my Idol FF Writer..Jayati commonly known by her Id name tintiny... Jai slowly made his way towards valentine's room. He knocked on the door gently and entered.

The 7 yr old was lying in bed obviously crying.

"Val…" Jai said softly startling her in the process and making her sit up with a start fear clearly showing in her red eyes.

Jai went and sat next to her.

"I'm sorry uncle…" val said.

"no beta, I am sorry…for shouting at you like that…

but you must understand that it was really important papers that you were drawing on.

But nevertheless I am sorry for shouting at you…look I'll do situps if you say so…" Jai said getting off the bed and doing 5 situps.

"Lets be friends…whatsay????" Jai asked holding out his hand.

Valentine looked at him suspiciously then slowly took his extended hand.

"Here this is for you." Jai said giving valentine a big box of ferro rocher chocolates.

"I heard they are your favourites" he said smiling at valentine seeing her eyes go wide.

"oh thank you uncle." Valentine said taking them and kissing him on the cheek.

"but I still say that you are a grouch !!!!" valentine said running away.

"Why you little…" Jai said chasing her.

Valentine was running as fast as she could and Jai was catching up with her.

Valentine ran down the hallway and turned a corner bypassing Bani on the way.

"Whatz wrong val ??? umm strange." Bani said carrying Jai's newly ironed suits.

Just then Jai comes round the corner and both of them collide and fall with Bani on top of Jai, the suits fallen untidily around them.

Jai did not know what hit him all he could sense was this curtain of black silk covering most of his face and chest.

A sweet smell of lavender caressing his senses driving him wild.

Bani was scared out of her wits and couldn't move a muscle.

The warm masculine feel of his chest sending a shiver down her spine.

She slowly pushed her hair away from his face and looked up.

The person slowly lifted her face and jai saw the most beautiful pair of eyes meeting his own.

They were a beautiful shade of…., was it melted chocolate?? No… Coffee?? No…they were a shade between amber and honey, you could practically drown in them….

He could see his reflection in those pools of molten honey-amber. Her warm breathe hit his face like a sweet summer night breeze.

The curves of her soft feminine body perfectly melded perfectly against his hard and muscular one.

He saw her lips move but heard no sound as he was in a world of his own, not able to understand what she was trying to say.

Bani got up and looked at her husband who was still in the same position staring somewhere into space totally in his own world.

She had said sorry at least thrice with no response. Only when valentine came and tickled him did he come out of his reverie and look around for Bani who had been long gone.

Bani was sitting in the balcony breathless. Her heart was racing.

It was the first time she had seen him like that….It was the first time that she looked into his eyes and met with the cloudless blue summer sky rather than the usually steely gaze.

The wide expanse of the spakling blue Arabian sea drowned her in the memories of her wedding to him.

She had felt so bad betraying him. He had been so happy, the look in his eyes today as he stared at her…it unnerved her…scared her so badly…

The soothing voice of the ocean reminded of her childhood days…

Her mom always loved Pia more than her…infact she hated the sight of Bani's face…

Flashback:

You can see Aasha Dixit bottle feeding the one year old Pia. Suddenly a three year old girl wearing a faded frock come to her.

"Mama, Hungy…bhook lagi..Kilaona…papa nahin dikhai deyaye hai.." She said.

Aasha gives her a disgusted look and pushes her away from herself saying.

"Main tumhari maa nahin hoon, mujhe apni maa mat bulao… agar khana chahiye to jao jake bheek mangke khalo…

mujhe koi fark nahin padta…tumhari asli maa bhi toh yahe karti thi…Pata nahin Nishi ko kya bhoot sawar tha…

Pehle toh apna naam tujhe de diya aur uske upar ab school bhi bhijwayenge….hmph"

Little Bani runs into Nishikant's open arms crying and he consoles her trying to make her forget Aasha's harsh words.

After that day Bani never called Aasha Dixit her mother but always carried out the duties of a daughter.

The last time Bani called Aasha "Maa" was when Aasha was dying.

After having a fight with Nishikant Aasha had run out of the house angry.

Bani had tried to bring her back but while crossing the road a speeding truck which was common to the road in front of their house came and hit her.

Aasha Dixit died in Bani's arms that fateful night. Tears in her lifeless eyes and her last words being "I am sorry Bani."

Tears in her eyes Bani switched on her radio to her favourite station, Radio Mirchi.

(inspite of Jai warning her she had brought the radio along with her…kabhi nahin sudhregi)
