Now now now...the story was good but of course the plot was based on movie(s)! As usual you penned it beautifully....
I will discuss here about the things that happen...
Education has got restricted to bookish knowlege only, otherwise the village people would not have been so narrow minded to comment on Bani's age for getting married or think of dowry. But it has nothign to do with village people...irrespective of city or village, its actually the mindset which operates our actions!
Jay's indebtedness towards his teacher cum father figure and mother figure were appreciable. The recall of memory...time spent in the river and on the roads..they feel so good when we re-visit a place. His instant decision to get married to Bani is questionable but at times heart gets too excited and we fall or it.
Bani's initial behavior with Jay was not good. Whatever be the reason, one has no right to misbehave or talk rudely with others when the other person is polite. It happens when people have to refuse some proposal, being engaged with someone else...they behave rudely! Personally I don't like it but.......
The change in Pushkar doesn't show that he was that bad, only he was not honest with himself. It can happen in life that we might fall for someone although having ties at the other end, only to realise that one of them is not what we thought it to be. But Pushkar tried to put the fact in a wrong way, deceiving Bani in the worst manner.
Bani's accusations were again not good. One must consider the other person's case too! Anyhow it was good to see her apologise and actually regret her actions.
The whole 2 months training and the drama that Jay set up, knowing what kind of a girl was actually Pia were somehow Filmy but worth reading and enjoying.
The thing I like the most in these kind of stories...the realisation of true love at the end ....
Jay's hesitation, attempt to avoid confrontation or breakdown was superb. The exchange of dialogues between Jay and Bani at that moment were lovely. That anxiety, that fear, that love......all could be felt.
The final clap description was humorous and natural.
Well Done. 👏
