First I want to thank you for writing such a magnificent and relevant story. I am sure a lot of people have been, in some way, educated about the state of affairs in our country or even otherwise.👏

I am sure, that there has been a certain awareness that has been created with this Short Story. It's not always things on a large scale that make a difference, sometimes it's just one line by an ordinary person that brings about the change!

Coming back to the short story you've so beautifully and sensitively penned, I personally felt the ending was as it should have been. I also loved the way you showed the transformation and awakening to a certain extent in Jai when he went for his search. It was so real and it did what no amount of theory could do.

Bani, like any other women, any other human, deserves a chance to live, and to live well. She has come out or I hope she does out of the bad experiences life had shoved her with, she had a Jai…not every girl does and hence it is important to stop abuse of all kinds at the grass root level cos' this is something which in no way can be justified!

Rano is again a strong willed and real character. She has a head of her own and a mind, conviction and will which never fails. In today's world, from what I gather is, that if you have the opportunity to voice your opinion, voice it.

Nishikant deserves better and I am sure his life, uptil his death, will be much better than what it could have ever been with Kiran. She became his wife but never his life companion!

People who treat other people as less than human must not be surprised when the bread they have cast on the waters comes floating back to them, poisoned.

- James Baldwin

What treatment Kiran and Pia got is rightfully deserved by them. For such people the law doesn't work… loneliness and tit for tat is the way to be. They should have expected it, but then if everyone knew what to expect out of their behavior, no one would behave in an inhumane way!

I hope you write many more such socially relevant but simple and easy reading Short Stories. You would in your own little way be spreading awareness!😳

Hats off to you Kanta, brilliant work!👏👏👏

Shruti hats off to you to. If you had not asked me to write a story on perfect life, this would never have become reality. And the input you gave to the justice system in India was helpful. Thank you. 👏
