I wrote this FF as my MOTW task given by Twinkle and Shiya...thought I'd post it for you guys as well...😊
"Bheegi, bheegi raton me..
Phir tum aao naaaa…
Aisa barsaat me…
Aao naaa…."
The endless raindrops attacked the window panes mercilessly. The rattling sound gave the music a new beat. It sounded like it has never sounded before. She placed her cheek on the cold window glass, enjoying the feel of it. She heart the raging storm's angry moaning in the silent night. Suddenly, lightening flashed, making her dark room glow all of a sudden. She huddled up to herself and screwed her face; preparing herself for the upcoming thunder. Despite that, as soon as the thunder roared, she closed her eyes and flinched.
Like rain, tax
After lightening the thunder cracks
(It's inevitable)
Sooner or later
It had to come through
She sighed and glanced at the clock, ticking away smoothly. It was almost midnight. She walked toward the bed and lay down in the middle of it. She wasn't even a bit tired. She lifted her hands and counted the bangles. She rolled to her sides and touched the left side of the bed fondly. A small smile playing in her lips. She hummed with the song playing..
Nahin chain re, daras bina nahin chain
Saiyaan….jab se gaye videsh re
Sawariya….daras bina nahin chain
A car honked outside. She immediately jumped up and ran toward the main entrance of the huge house. Her anklets chimed, her long hair drummed in her back, her bangles rhymed.
(Sawariya, daras bina nahin chain)
As soon as she reached the hall room, the main door opened and a figuere much too familiar entered. He stopped when his eyes fell on her, leaning with the door; looking like the first fresh drop of dew on grass even in this dead of night. Just looking at her, his breathing stopped. He ran his hands through his slightly wet hair. Their eyes met, the world stopped. He took slow steps toward her, never leaving the eye contact. Once they were just inches apart, he touched her cheeks. She blushed and looked down. He couldn't help but smile at her gesture, even after six months of their marriage, his one touch can make her blush still.
He softly uttered her name, Bani?
She came back to her sense, gave a mean look at her husband, glanced at the clock and went inside. He followed her like a pet puppy to their bedroom. Wasn't she angry!
As he sat on the edge of the bed to take off his shoes, she threw a towel on him out of the blue. And without warning, she started to rub it vigorously to dry up his hair, he almost choked in the shock. Then he chuckled, even her anger was so sweet.
Hearing him laugh, she threw anohter angry look and left the room. He scratched his head, now she's giving him silent treatment. He shook his head, seems like he's to work overtime tonight to make her come around.
After 15 minutes, he came to the dining area, changed in casual trouser and T shirt. He found her serving food, doing more sound than necessary. He creeped behind her and slid his arms around her slim waiste.
"Angry at your poor husband?" he asked huskily in her ear.
She stopped whatever she was doing. Off course she wasn't angry, who can be angry after the face he made right after coming home? But she's not going to tell him that!
He pressed his lips on her ear, "Come on baby, I was not partying outside. I had loads to do."
She turned and pushed him away, "Dinner." She said firmly and left for kitchen. He stood there and sighed. Bani turned around to see his expression and smiled to herself. He was too cute!
After a very quiet dinner, they retired to their room. Bani watched with the corner of her eyes, as her husband lay down on his side of the bed, certainly disheartened. She went to the washroom to change in her nightclothes.
When she came back, the light of the room was dimmed. She was surprised not to see him in the bed, she looked around, but no sign of him. Then she noticed that the balcony door was open. She slowly walked out there, he was there, leaning with the railing, his arms crossed over his chest. She quietly stood beside him.
"Jai?"
He took her hand and pulled her in his arms, "I'm sorry Bani."
"It's okay." She said, snuggling closer to him, wondering from where this sudden warmth came that engulfed every part of her body.
He looked down at her and said, "Dance with me Bani."
Bani looked up and nodded. He went inside, put on a music and came back. He forwarded his hand and Bani took it gladly. In a swift motion, he pulled her back in his arms. His one hand went to engulf her waiste. The other joined her one while her other hand rested on his broad shoulder. They swayed slowly to the rhythm.
Tumko paya hain to jaisa khoya hu
Kehna chahoon bhi to tumse kya kahu
Tumko paya hain to jaisa khoya hu
Kehna chahoon bhi to tumse kya kahu
Kisi jabaan me bhi wo lafz hi nehi
Ke jinme tum ho kya tumhe bata saku
Main agar kahoon tumsa hasin
Kayanat main bhi nahin hain kahin
Tarif ye bhi kya, sach hain
Kuch bhi nehi
Tumko paya hain to jaisa khoya hu
He suddenly pushed her and twirled her making her giggle and then pulled her back. She closed her eyes and cluthched him tightly, resting her head on his chest.
Shokhiyon me dubi ye adayeein
Chehre se jhalki hui hai
Zulfo ki ghane ghane ghataye
Shaan se dhalki hui hain
Lehrata achal hain jaise baadal
Bahoon me bhari hain jaise chadni
Roop ki chadni
Main agaar kahoon, yeh dil kashi
Hain nehi kahi, na hogi kabhi
Tarif yeh bhi kya
Sach hai kuch bhi nehi
Tumko paya hain to jaise khoya hu
He bowed down his head and placed a wet kiss on her neck, she shivered and came more closer to him, now hugging him tight. He kept kissing her along her column of throat, and finally kissed her ear lobe only resulting to cut his lips with her ear rings. She slowly reached for it and opened it for him. He looked at her angelic face, mesmerized. She smiled shyly and slid her arms around his neck, hiding her face on his chest once again.
Tum hue meherban
To hain yeh dastan
Hoo, tum hue meherban
To hain yeh dastan
Abh tumhara mera ek hai karwan
Tum jaha main waha….
Main agaar kahon hamsafar meri
Apsara ho tum, ya koi pari
Tarif ye bhi kya sach hain kuch bhi nehi
Tumko paya hain to jaisa khoya hu
Kehna chahoon bhi to tumse kya kahu
Kisi jabaan me bhi wo lafz hi nehi
Ke jinme tum ho kya tumhe bata saku
Main agar kahoon tumsa hasin
Kayanat main bhi nahin hain kahin
Tarif ye bhi kya, sach hain
Kuch bhi nehi………
They stayed in each others arm for a long time even after the song finished. Then he pulled away and looked at her with his dark eyes. She smiled softly. He took her inside holding her hand and closed the balcony door while she turned off the music system.
Looking at him one last time, she took tentative steps toward their bed and hesitating for a moment, lay down in her sidea and closed her eyes. He kept looking at her, then joined her.
Bani's eyes flew open when she felt his lips on her rosy cheek. He was about to roll back to his side when she stopped him by holding his hand. Then she grabbed him by his collar and placed a sweet kiss on his lips, he groaned and pulled her towards him.
"I love you Jai," she whispered in his ear.
"I love you too." He said breathlessly before capturing her lips once again.
Outside, the heavy downpour started once again, with it's rhythmetic beats, offering the love struck couple a little bit privacy from the outer world.
