It was an early dinner at Walia house that evening, Jai and Bani had both come home early and Jai was relieved to see Bani smiling. He left her alone as she and Raashi went around busying themselves cleaning up after dinner. The two were in a happy mood. In the kitchen Bani saw Raashi put a bowl of cherries and a jar of honey on a tray and looking accusingly at Raashi Bani said, "Raashi you know doctor told you watch how much sweet things you eat, what's with the honey and the cherries?"
Raashi smiled sweetly and said, "Oh mami it's not for me. Ranveer is craving the bizarre combination. I think he is having sympathy pregnancy cravings." Raashi picked up the tray and walked out with it.
Outside Jai saw Raashi with the tray and picking a cherry up, popped it in his mouth. "These are sweet, is there any more Raashi?"
Nodding her head, Raashi said, "In the fridge mamaji, but we have no more honey."
Jai shaking his head, "I don't need honey, these are sweet enough." And then coming close to Raashi, "Is mami in a good mood? Do I dare go near her?"
Raashi looking innocently, "Mamaji are you hiding something that you are scared to go near mami?"
Jai whispered, "I am not hiding anything, but looks like mami is. She want tell me why she was upset last night."
Raashi, "Oh you too had mini fight last night. So bad mamaji, on Karva Chauth and …" glaring at him, "You did not buy her a gift for Karva Chauth. Men are supposed to buy their wives a gift for the first Karva Chauth."
"Thanks for reminding me a day too late Raashi."
"Well its still not too late. And you know you can always call up your business buddy and he will open up the shop for you exclusively."
Jai scratching his head, "Do you think I should do that?"
Raashi poking him, "Mamaji I think you should definitely do that. Nothing like giving a special gift to make mami think you love her so much, but one thing mamaji..nothing that is shiny and reminds mami of meeeeeeeeeerahhhh.'
Jai looked as if Raashi had just gone loonie. Muttering him to what does she mean by meeeeeeeeeerahhhh"
He decided not to follow Raashi's advice, instead he will take time and take Bani shopping, this way she can choose what she likes.

Dadaji looked down and saw masi and dadi sitting alone and shouted to dadi, "Baache kahan hai?"
Dadi still glued to the TV, "Apne kamre me hoge aur kahaan? Kya karege sare raat hamari saath baithe ke. Thoda time biwi ke liye bhi dene hota hai, aap bhul gaye aap kaise the jawaani mei."
Dadaji highly embaraased and angry at dadi, "tum se baith karne hi nahi. Kya kya bol deti hai." He stormed off, leaving a chuckling masi and dadi downstairs. Masi giggled and said, "Aaj tujhe inko bahut manana padega. Bahut gusse mei hai."
Dadi just shrugged, "Woh toh uki adaat hai."

Ranveer lounging on the bed and seeing Raashi with cherries, "Feeling hungry again Raashi?"
"No they are not for me they are for you. The honey is for me, its good for my skin."
"But Raashi I don't like cherries."
Raashi making herself comfortable next to him, "Oh believe me Ranveer you will like me feeding you these sweet cherries."
"Ranveer do you think you could ask Meera to come for dinner tomorrow night. She seems like a nice girl and it would be nice for her to meet the rest of the family."
Ranveer looking at her thoughtfully, "What are you up to Raashi? You don't invite other employees home for dinner."
Not batting an eyelid, Raashi replied, "Nothing! She seems an important part of Walia Group so why not show her some hospitality, especially since you are her boss."
Ranveer flicking the remote, "I'll think about it. Any way could be quiet for few minutes I just want to watch the Discovery channel."
Raashi grumbled under her breath, "I'll show you what discovery is…"

Jai found Bani sitting on the bed surfing the web on her laptop. He went and sprawled next to her and peeked over shoulders. "What are you looking at?"
"Oh checking up on spas around here."
"Spas, why do you need to go to a spa, I am here to be your massagewala." Jai rubbed here back up and down gently.
Shaking his hand off her back, "May be I want more than a massage. Ooh this sounds good 'Lavender and Honey Body Wrap'…and this sounds good 'Decadent Dreams', a body wrap and facial."
Jai teasing her, "Is there a special reason that all of a sudden you have an urge to go and beautify yourself. I think you don't need any of spa stuff. I can go to the kitchen and whip up some stuff for you. I think I should make you a cherry facial mask, Raashi said we had some more cherries in the fridge."
Bani getting annoyed, "I don't want your homemade facial. I am going to a spa and get myself pampered and spoiled for a few hours."
Jai pointing at the menu, "Look they have a couple's package…" and rubbing his cheeks, "I could do with a facial too. What do you think?"
Closing the laptop none too gently, Bani picked up a pillow and smacked him with it. "You don't need anything doing? I am the one that needs attention."
Jai rolling her down and pinning her hands at the side, "Bani you don't need to go to beauty parlour to look beautiful. I like you just the way you are. If you start looking like something out of the magazine then I might think I have walked into a wrong house."
Looking at her seriously, "Did anyone say anything to you? Is that why you were upset yesterday and now you are browsing spas. Tell me and I will sort them out."
Bani trying to get away from him said exasperatedly, "You men just don't understand. And stop saying I am upset. I am not."
Jai let her go and picking up his pjs walked off to the bathroom, leaving Bani simmering with anger.

Nachiket, Purva and Anu were watching MTV on the TV in Anu's room. After a while a bored Nachiket said to Anu, "Come on Anu change the channel. Lets watch something a little better than this."
Anu, "Mamaji go to your own room and watch what you want. Purva and I want to watch this."
Anu had no idea behind her back what Purva was looking at and when Purva giggled, she turned around to find, Nachiket lying down with his head resting in Purva's lap. Looking surprised, "What are you two upto?"
Prodding Nachiket, "Mamaji, this is my best friend you are messing with!"
Nachiket grineed at her, "I am not messing around with your best friend. I am in love with your best friend."
Purva turned bright red and smacked Nachiket on his arm, while Anu pulled his leg saying, "Get out of here mama, before I tell masi what you just told me."
Nachiket stood up and swung Anu around, "I am not making it up. How would you like Purva as your mami?"
Anu screamed, "Mamaji put me down. I don't want Purva as mami, I won't her as my best friend. If you marry her than I have no one to share my secrets with."
Nachiket gleefully, "This is even better, now I can find out what your secrets are. My own personal bean spiller."
Purva now getting peeved, grabbed Nachiket's arm and said sharply, "Stop it Nachi. Leave Anu alone. And I think you better leave now before you do any further damage."
Nachiket's face drooped and he looked dejectedly at Purva and then turning to Anu he said, 'Close your eyes for ten seconds."
Anu immediately scrunched her eyes up whilst Nachiket planted a kiss on Purva and ran out of the room.
Purva looked at Anu with eyes shut tight, "You can open your eyes, he's gone."
Anu started on Purva as soon as noticed Nachiket had disappeared, "When were you going to tell me about you and my mamaji? Best friend…haan!"
Purva getting all flustered, "Anu sorry, but its kind of hard…you know telling you best friend that I am crazy about her mamaji."
Anu grabbing Purva by her shoulders, "You are crazy about him. This is serious. What about your parents? They think you are here with on a holiday."
Purva laughed, "Chill Anu. My mother will want me to bring him home and my dad, well he will be typical..what does he do…does have any education etc."
Anu giggled, "it will be strange calling you mami."
Purva dug her elbow into Anu's side, "No way are you going to call me mami. We are best friends first."
