Bani walked into the bedroom with tray holding juice, coffee and newspaper. She looked in digust at Jai still sleeping. Walking over she shook him not too gently, "Jai are planning to sleep all day?" Jai grabbed a pillow and put it over his face and mumbled, "kuch or nahin aata, subha subha chilane sivaje."
Pulling the pillow off, she glared at him, "I heard that. Fine if you don't want to get up. I am leaving for work in five minutes."
As she turned, Jai sat up and tugged at her shirt making her topple onto him, "You are not going anywhere…Mrs Walia. I have some new tricks to show you." Bani dug her elbow into him making him lose his grip and she stood up, smoothing her clothes down. Hands on her hips she arched her brow, "Mr Walia, unlike you I don't have my own business and therefore can sail in whenever I want…I have a boss to answer to."
Pulling a face, Jai chimed, "I thought I was your boss Bani…"
"Who gave you that idea, Mr Walia. In this room there is only one boss and that is me. Now get off your lazy a** and move it." Bani bent down to pick a pair of heels and Jai watched her fitted skirt stretch tantalizing over curvy derriere and felt his heart drum a little faster. "Errm…Bani don't you think your skirt's a little too tight."
Bani tugged at the waistband and said, "Actually it's a little loose, I must have lost a few pounds recently." Suddenly she looked at him suspiciously, "Why are asking?"
Keeping his face straight, Jai smiled and said, "It kind of looked as if was tight. Just make sure you don't bend too much when guys are around or you will give them heart attacks."
Shaking her head she purred, "make sure you use plenty of soap to wash that dirty mind of yours."
Blowing him a kiss she picked up her bag and walked out deliberately swaying her hips.

AD greeted Bani with such enthusiasm that Bani felt as if she had been away for six months instead of a month. It was only when she entered her office she realized why…her desk was covered with stacks of files. Dropping her bag on the floor, Bani buzzed Pushkar to come to his office.
The smile on Pushkar's face vanished as he saw the scowl on Bani's face.
Pointing to the files Bani snapped, "Did you all have holiday too while I was away?"
Pushkar shrugged his shoulders and said, "AD was too busy to look at the files and told us to dump it on your desk. Lot of it needs signatures to sign off the contracts etc."
"I thought AD gave you permission to take care of that while I was away."
"Well you'll see a lot of it really needs AD's authorization. Anyway I can help you go through the files if you like?" Pushkar offered.
"We'll see, first I want to have a meeting to get updated on the projects. Make sure you let everyone know, sharp at 9." With that Bani dismissed Pushkar and dialled Jai's number. Getting the voicemail she left a message for him saying she will call him later.
Jai checked his phone after he stepped out of the bathroom and listened to Bani's message. Thinking of calling her from the office, he went downstairs had breakfast and left for work.
Unlike Bani, Jai came to clean desk. There were a few messages that did not require any urgent action and he dialled Adi to get no answer. Deciding to take a walk around and have word with his executives, Jai walked out only to be distracted by raised voices coming from Ranveer's office. In Rano's office, Rano had grabbed Ranveer by his tie and snapping at him, "What do you think I am Ranveer, your personal PA. I have my own work to do and don't have time to do your own. Just because I did you favour before doesn't mean I am going to do it again." Ranveer seemed tongue-tied and just looked at her as if she had gone mad. He wondered what happened to these girls…few weeks back they would jump at a chance to do all his every menial bidding and now, not one of them smiled at him.
Jai chuckled at the sight, poor Ranveer seemed he had pissed off more than few of the women that worked at his offices. Stepping in he said casually, "Good morning Rano."
Rano keeping her eyes on Ranveer said, "Good Morning Mr Walia. Could you tell your nephew here that I am not his personal doormat."
"What did he do Rano? Why are you so upset with him?" Jai asked her sweetly, knowing full well why Rano was mad at Ranveer.
"Why don't you ask him?" Rano snapped.
Ranveer just stammered, "nothing…mamaji…I just…wanted Rano to make some correction in this file."
"Why don't you come to my office and we'll take care of this," Jai gently pulled Ranveer out of the office and winked at Rano and said, "I'll make sure he doesn't bother you again Rano." Rano mumbled more to herself, "don't worry I will make sure he won't step in here again."
In his office, Jai sat Ranveer down and looked at him sternly, "kya irada hai, phir pitne ka. Who thaapd itni jaldi bhul gaya…shadi karli tune, bhul jana padega tujhe teri yeh sab girlfriends ko."
Ranveer could only say meekly, "jee mamaji." And left the office clutching the file thinking of who he could bribe into doing some of his work for him.
Jai forgot about phoning Bani as the day progressed. He and Adi had a lunch meeting with some of the executives.
It was on his return from lunch that he spied Taz walking towards Moksh's office.
"Hi Taz!" he called out.
Taz batted her long lashes at him and blew him a kiss and said in her sultry voice, "Hello Mr Walia. Just popped in to see Moksh for a minute, I hope you don't mind."
"No problem Taz."
Taz knocked on the office door and a female voice called out to come in. Opening the door, Taz stared at Pia, sitting at Moksh's desk and admiring her nails. Giving Taz a look over, Pia said coldly, "Can I help you?"
Taz smirked back and said, "No I don't think so. I don't need no manicure or pedicure today. Actually I am looking for Moksh."
"What business do you have with Moksh?"
Getting a little irate, Taz said, "I don't think that is any of your business. Actually what are you doing in his office, sitting at his desk."
Pia fluffing her hair said, "I am waiting for Moksh so we can go out for lunch."
Taz making herself comfortable on the chair at side, 'Well then we can wait together, since I want to take him out for lunch."
Pia's brows knitted tightly and she threw Taz a spiteful glare.
Few minutes later Moksh came to his office to find the two of them locked in a silent duel. Clearing his throat, he pecked Taz on the cheek and said warmly, "Nice surprise honey."
Taz pulled Moksh close to her and wrapping her arms around his neck and purred, 'Hello dahling…thought I would surprise you by taking you out to lunch." Blushing slightly Moksh looked at Pia's stunned face and stood up pulling Taz close to him, "Pia meet my wife Taz. Taz this is one of my friend, Pia."
Taz extended her hand to Pia and said, "Nice to meet you Pia." Pia ignored Taz's extended hand and walked around the desk and looked at Moksh and said, "I'll catch up with you later." And Taz shot a look at Pia, which construed, "you come near my guy again and you're dead meat lady."
It was almost six when Jai realized he had not called Bani or she had called him. He dialled her number only to be directed to voice mail. Closing his laptop he picked up his keys and drove to AD Group's offices. The floor was almost deserted with only one or two people still working at their desk Seeing light coming from Bani's office, Jai opened the door to see Bani and Pushkar engrossed in the open file. Seeing the concentration on her face and the scattered files around, Jai felt pity for Bani. Knocking on the door to get their attention Jai smiled as they looked up. Bani looked at her watch and smiled at him ruefully, "Sorry didn't realize what the time was." Closing the file she turned to Pushkar and said, "I think we will call it a day and work on it rest tomorrow."
"Ok, I will see you tomorrow," Puskhar walked up to Jai and shaking Jai's hand said, "have a good evening sir." Jai closed the door and looked at Bani still sitting in her chair, walking up to her and leaning and kissing her hard on the mouth he whispered, "are you planning to come home?"
"No I thought I'll camp out here until I get my desk cleared of this mess," Bani teased. Standing up and wrapping her arms around him, "I am in desperate need of some TLC tonight Mr Walia."

AT Seventeen PT 10

"Bani mami…" Raashi called out to Bani as she stepped into the house. Bani looked curiously at Raashi, who looked a little upset. Now into her fourth month of pregnancy, Raashi's stomach was had started to protrude slightly. Her morning sickness had subsided and Raashi was able to eat what was put in front of her.

"Bani mami apse kuch baat karni hair…" Raashi told her as they walked upstairs. Closing the door of her bedroom Raashi sat on the bed and looked teary eyed at Bani. Concerned that may be something was wrong, Bani sat and asked, "Raashi what's wrong? Is everything is ok, I mean is the baby ok?"

"Mami baby is fine, its just that…its…" Raashi stopped and seemed unsure of what to say.

"kya hai Raashi, chup kyun hogayi."

"Mami its Ranveer. I don't know how to say but ever since the honeymoon Ranveer keeps away from me. I know being sick most of the time I didn't feel like being close to him but now if I try to hug him or come close to him, he pushes me away making excuses about not being in the mood or he's tired or he might hurt me." Raashi burst into tears when she finished and Bani sat in a daze embarrassed slightly and wondering what to say or how she could help her.

Trying to calm her down, she asked, "Does Ranveer go with you to your doctor's appointment?"

Raashi sniffed and said, "Yes mami, and he was there when the doctor explained everything, he even gave us a book to read."

"May be you should try talking with him. He may just be scared of something happening to baby." Bani suggested.

"I don't know mami, you don't know what he is like…Ranveer likes flirting with other girls. Even when we were dating, I would catch him eyeing other girls."

"I am sure he is not doing that now. You know your mama would not let him do that. Tell you what I will try and get mama to talk to Ranveer."

Raashi's voice went a pitch higher and she tugged at Bani's arm, "No mami…no you can't do that, it would be embarrassing." Sighing Bani asked, "Is it ok if I talk with Ranveer?'

At night Bani divulged to Jai Raashi's problem. Amused at her predicament, he said, "are you really going to talk to Ranveer about his s** life? I mean do you think you can…"

Bani interrupted him, "I thought may be you can give me idea on how to broach the subject to him."

"Well if it was me, I would be blunt and I have no idea how else you can do this."

"You see him at the office, do you see him with any other girl?'

Jai couldn't help laughing, "Actually most of the women at the office avoid him now. Feel sorry for the poor guy, its no fun at the office for him anymore."

Bani dug her elbow in his side, "Mr Walia, it's not funny. Wait till it's your turn, than you'll see."

Jai rolled Bani on top of him, 'When my time comes, Mrs Walia, I will make sure you don't have to go running to anyone because your love life is in jeopardy." His hands moved under her nightdress and roamed all over her body, Jai nuzzled her neck and murmured, "I think we need to work a little harder on making our baby." His hands caressing her flat stomach, "I want to see your belly big with our child."

It was Jai who finally pulled Ranveer into his office and had a frank discussion about women, marriage, s** and pregnancy. He tried to emphasize how important it was for Ranveer to be close to Raashi for the well being of their child. Jai picked up couple of books and handed them to Ranveer, "Bedtime reading…current bestsellers." Ranveer looked at the title, 'ABC's of marriage by Sabs and Karuna', 'Love Games 101 by Sheena Row' and CD titled, 'Pravachans on Relationships by Maasi Maata.'

Ranveer flitted through the pages of Love Games and his eyes boggled at some to the titles of the chapters, '101 Kiss Games', '101 Places for Making Love' and '101 Ways to Spice Her Up'. He read few of lines on '101 Ways to Spice Her Up' and turned red, "Mamaji have you tried any on these yourself?"

Jai chuckled looking at Ranveer's beetroot red face, "No I don't think I will ever need them."

Pia hadn't given up on Moksh yet. She couldn't care less that he was married; she found him desirable and was going to do what ever was needed to get him. With that in mind she waited in the reception area of Walia offices. She had dressed up in hip hugging jeans and deep v-neck top. At around five in the evening as Moksh stepped out of the elevator he found Pia rushing up to him and hugging him. Pushing her off, Moksh looked at her coldly, "Pia what are you doing? Can't you remember that I am married and its embarrassing when you throw yourself at me like this."

Pia smiled at him and dismissed the rebuke, "Oh Moksh, don't be so old fashioned. We are friends and friends can hug. And anyway your wife is not here, so no worry." Moksh strode towards the door without bothering to say anything more to her. He was irked. Pia was becoming a nuisance the woman was stubborn and did not seem to possess much intelligence. It seemed she was hell bent on causing trouble between him and Taz. Thank god, Taz wasn't around otherwise don't know what she would to Pia. Pia followed him to his car. Getting in his car he slammed the door and rolled his window down and glared at her, "Pia keep away from me. All we had going was just friendship…nothing more." Pia stomped her feet and walked towards the road to catch a cab.

The first cab that pulled up, Pia sat in and gave the driver the address. At first Pia did not seem to pay attention to where the cab was going and then she noticed the cab seemed to be going in the different direction from. Pia screamed, "Oye stupid, kahan jaa raha hai. Meine toh Marine Drive bola aur tu Chowpatty Beach taraf gadi chala raha ha."

The driver seemed to have turned deaf as he ignored Pia and kept on driving. Today he was reaping reward for doing his daily morning pooja religiously and no way he was losing his prasad of five thousand rupees. All he had to do was deliver the lady on Chowpatty Beach…

More of Taz in next update......the whip will be flying again.
