Part 7:
Bani was thinking if what she did to Jai might be wrong, but one side of her said shes right. What will she do is all she though. "Mom and everyone likes Jai and my heart believes them and also him, but my brain tells me that his just like his fater." This all Bani could think of. Finally, at 5 a.m. her eyes closed and she went to sleep.
Everyone was downstairs at around 10 a.m., but Bani who was still sleeping. Pushkar asked his mother, "Mom, where is Bani Di?" "Beta she was up late and you know Bani well, you know when there is no school she is sleeping until 12 p.m." Just then Priya started to talk, "Momma, 12 p.m. my foot, she stays there until 4 p.m. at times." Her jiju Sahil started to laugh so much that the coffee he was drinking come out of his nose. "Ewwwwwwwwww, that's disgusting Sahil," said Priya. "Man, jiz cool ur laughing down," said Pushkar. "What are all of you doing, stop talking bad about my daughter," said Banis dad. "I was going to say, Priya stop making fun of my dear sali," said Sahil.
Everyone missed off their breakfast and went on doing their own things. Priya was going to go shopping for herself and the news family member, her adorable son Sameer. Sahil was on his laptop doing some work that had to be done. Banis parents were both talking about there family and what happened in the past few days. "She, mush have been really scared," said her mom with tears in her eyes. "Kiran, stop crying we need to put this passed us and need to start feash. Think of what will happen if Bani sees you crying. Shes still a little girl. She will feel the pain of all those days. Now, is the time we have to be there most for her," said Banis dad. "We need her to be the same old happy going Bani," said Kiran. "Mommasita, what u crying for, u know there is nothing you need to worry about because Pushkar is here. After all I was the one who got Di out of there." "So much pride, little bro.," said Priya. "He should be proud of himself," said Bani coming down the stair. "Ur awake now, Miss Bani Dixit," said her sister.
Sahil who was busy with his work turned around to talk. "Priya, leave them alone, u need to stop annoying your little brother and sister. Their going to win against you. You know that." It was ture since, they were little kids, Bani and Pushkar, would gang up on their older sister. They would be cryin and tell their parents that their sister yelled at them, when she did nothing to them. They would do things like mess up her room, pick up the phone if it was a guys and say things about their sister that she didn't want to come out, or take her things. When, she was studying they would take her books. They were always putting tricks on their sister, but this was just, so their sister doesn't go out with her friends and forget about them. They always though that their sister would forget they are in her world if she went out. "They, hate me," said Priya. "Haila, Didi that's not ture, we love you to much," said Bani.
"Bani, beta, how are u feeling?," said her dad. "I am Abhay Dixits daughter, nothing is bad with her," Bani said proud to be her dad's child. Bani and her dad always shared a special bond. They were really close. Nothing could get in the way of this father daughter jodi. Bani would tell her dad everything, well not everything, but still. Out of all his children Bani was Abhays favorite and he made sure everyone new. Anything Bani wants she gets. There is no, "No," for her.
Everyone was happy that Bani was happy and with her family, but Pushkar and Kiran new right away something was not right. Bani was smiling in the outsaid, but in the inside she was upset.
Later in the day, since it was August 16th everyone was going to the high school because it was Independence Day of India and Pakistan. Even if the school was in India, the school Bani went to celebrated the Independence of both Pakistan and India because they wanted to join hangs and become friend. "Bani," said her mom. Bani turned around. "Beta, what's wrong and don't say nothing because your face tells me there is something wrong." "Mom, I was just thinking that, Jai… his not what he seems, yet still there is something that wants me to believe him. I don't know, its like we have something against, or with us." "Bani, are you saying you might have feeling for Jai?," said her mom. "No, mom, its just that something feeling," said Bani. Before they can talk more it was time for them to sing the anthem for Pakistan.
"Pak sarzamin shad bad
Kishwar-e-hasin shad bad
Tu nishan-e-'azm-e-'alishan
Arz-e-Pakistan
Markaz-e-yaqin shad bad
Pak sarzamin ka nizam
Quwat-e-ukhuwat-e-'awam
Qaum, mulk, sultanat
Pa-inda tabinda bad
Shad bad manzil-e-murad
Parcham-e-sitara-o-hilal
Rahbar-e-tarraqqi-o-kamal
Tarjuman-e-mazi, shan-e-hal
Jan-e-istiqbal
Sayah-e-Khuda-e-Zu-l-Jalal"
Pakistan anthem
Since, in Banis high school they learned English some had to translate it in English. Banis best friend Nikita was Arabic so she told everyone what the anthem was talking about.
"Blessed be the sacred Land
Happy be the bounteous realm
Symbol of high resolve
Land of Pakistan
Blessed be thou, Citadel of Faith
The Order of this Sacred Land
Is the might of the Brotherhood of the People
May the nation, the country, and the state
Shine in glory everlasting
Blessed be the goal of our ambition
This Flag of the Crescent and Star
Leads the way to progress and perfection
Interpreter of our past, glory of our present
Inspiration of our future
Symbol of the Almighty's protection"
Now, it was time to sing the anthem of India.
"Jana ga?a mana adhinayaka jaya he
Bharata bhagya bidhata
Pajaba Sindhu Gujara?a Mara?ha
Drabi?a Utkala Ba?ga
Bindhya Himacala ?amuna Ga?ga
Ucchala jaladhi tara?ga
Taba subha name jage
Taba subha asisa mage
Gahe taba jaya gatha
Jana ga?a ma?gala dayaka jaya he
Bharata bhagya bidhata
Jaya he jaya he jaya he
Jaya jaya jaya jaya he"
Indias anthem
Bani, got to translate the Indian anthem in English.
"O! Dispenser of India's destiny,
Thy name rouses the hearts of Punjab, Sindh, Gujarat, the Maratha country,
in the Dravida country, Utkala (Orissa) and Bengal;
It echoes in the hills of the Vindhyas and Himalayas,
it mingles in the rhapsodies of the pure waters of Jamuna and the Ganges.
They chant only thy name.
They sing only the glory of thy victory.
They seek only thy auspicious blessings.
The salvation of all people waits in thy hands,
O dispenser of India's destiny!
Victory, Victory, Victory, Victory to thee"
Then, they were told about the people without whom India and Pakistan would not to where they are now.
Later, that nigh everyone went to sleep. Then, there was a sound, like broken glass. Bani woke up and ran out to see what had happened. Bani saw the lights of the room next to hers was on and ran there. She opened the door and scearm, "who are you?..."
P.S. guys please forgive me if I said the anthem words wrong, or they where wrong in the English form. I live in USA n don't really know the anthem, so had to research for them. Mostly, for the Pakistan one cause I m an Indian and don't know that much about there, besides that my masa is from there.
