I agree that the state of the forum is very depressing. I used to be a regular poster, but of late the serial as well as the forum has put me off. I think a lot of people will agree.

But, honest to God, last couple weeks things were not this bad. We were all amicably warring J vs.B like always. And then suddenly I see a post linking AD and Bani and all hell breaks lose. We have posts about chemistry and age and wrinkles and weight and everything under the sun.

Another honest observation, like Sam said, defense is used in the forum by us JB fans when we feel offended, and that too deliberately. If the threads are checked, unless someone makes a comment against Jai or for AD/Bani, the thread continues to be peaceful.

I am in no way condemning or supporting anyone here. But in order to keep things fair, the rules should be applied to how the thread is named, rather than on expression. Frankly, its only when the thread name is offensive to one of the involved parties, things turn ugly.

Another observation of mine is some of us fans have forgotten the difference between reel and real and hence the mudslinging about actors. Jai is not RK and RK is not Jai. There is very thin yet disticnt line where the actor seperates from the screen persona. As long as we keep them seperated things will be calmer (not using RR in order to not offend anyone...so RK fans dont kill me)

Personally, banning people from posting views, that were always allowed, for the sake of a new entrant is not fair to us who have been with the serial through its roughest phases.

And in order to be welcomed, you have to come in as friends and not foes. no body likes to welcome a foe with open arms.

So if everyone tries to be responsible, we may not be in need of so many warning threads.

Very well said rivs. We have bashed Jai like no tomorrow, Bani, Tarun, Pia, Roshni...but suddenly now I feel like anything I say for AD will turn into a war. If we so much as criticize a hand movement a war gets started. I feel scared to post on this forum anymore as now even members get attacked for expressing a view.

Thats the thing Meghna. Why should members be afraid of posting what they feel? Because now they think if they do say something, they will be jumped on.

If you think about it, everyone (inc. me) will realise how small a matter this is. We are arguing over people that don't even exist. 😛 But when we diss the actor then it will become offensive.

We thank you for the warning but I have to agree with Meghna, this Forum is to allow us to express ourselves freely and yes I agree that making comments about the actors appearance would be personally actacking them and that is wrong but can you tell me a proper adjective to describe Pia, Jigs and Karuna, this is the fictional characters I know I am guilty for referring to them as the wicked witches, if you can find a better adjective to describe these characters then by all means I will humble myself, I have referred to AD's character as that of a manaic because it is justifiable so I am not calling RR a manaic and that is the point,I feel that as long as no one disrespects the actors personnally then you are asking us to put up and shut up and that I totally agree with Meghna on.

Yep, as I said...I always get scared when a thread about AD-DDG is made. I know something is going to happen. And it almost always turns in to who looks better with who. Who looks like whos nana? and poti?! I guess this is all in fun's name but the weight and age comments are just too crude.

Thats totally understandable. 😊 If you feel your favourite star is being criticized unfairly, then you should make a counter-arguement. But it becomes a problem when members beging to argue between themselves. Why should us REAL people argue for REEL characters? 😕

about Nana poti...let me try to clear this. When AD first came in, a lot of us speculated his role, it was thought that he could be like Bani's mama or nana or someone from the Singhanias. Later, when they indicated AD/Bani pairing, we did not like it and brought back how we rather think AD will be better as a relative or even a friend, but not a love interest.

Nana-poti was always used, in the beginning, as a term to show out dislike to this pair. I am not sure when and how this was twisted into a remark to the actors age and not sure who did it either. It could very well be the AD fans or the JB fans.

And about defending ur star...well everyone will naturally do it...but i agree. we have to remeber RR is not AD and AD is not RR....

Everyone has there own right to express their opinion's on the show and characters. Name calling such has pervert is not welcome. I have been a part of I-F forum for three years but i have not seen forum feel insecure or go crazy because of an third angle. I was in TD and Sinndoor Forum nothing like this has happened. Members did not go criticizing other characters.

This forum is not becoming a friendly forum members are scared to mention that they like AD and Druga jodi because groups might come and attack them, so they are scared to post a comment because they will be ganged up by groups.

Some members have been a part of i-f for 2-3 and they also some times feel un welcomed and are scared to make a post.

In deep down we all know its harsh reality ks forum does not accept knew members who does not love the JB pairing or loves the AD/Druga pairing.

Ks forum should be made welcome to all the new members and all the fans whether you are RR or Rk fan. Groups should not ignore any post or members and reply to each of them equally. We should respect each other opinion.

Meghna, I'll give you an example...the other day, my mum and I saw the scene where Bani shouts "aap chahte kya hai?", to which AD replies "Tumhe". This was near the cliff. Now I found some sort of chemistry there but my mum was like..."I thought he kept her like his daughter" 😛 Conflicting views but both acceptable right?We both responded to the characters not to the actors. Nor did we go over the top in our views....not that everyone should respond the same way but if we keep our opinions in a respectable manner...this would work.😊

Reemz...good example...I am sure this statement by ur mom was not indicative of RRs age, but rather the fact on how their relation was perceived by her....right?

That is what I am saying. These are fictional characters JW, AD, Pia etc. Any comment made against the characters should not be taken as if made against the actor. RK is not being called a dog, JW is. Similarly RC is not a reptile, Pia is. RR is not called a weasel, AD is. These are fictional characters that we have fun with on this forum. Why is suddenly because of one character name calling become such a hanging offence. People are absolutely allowed to love AD-B pair. Come out and point all the reasons you love them. That is what the forum is for. People might say they don't agree and why not, but that is allowed tooo. I am just asking why comments about characters suddenly being taken so personally.

Definately. She's always criticizing the characters and I fight back. Usually because she's being too harsh on Bani...which me nots lyks! 😛 DEFEND the character, don't ATTACK the actor....fair enough rule.

Ok though I personally don't like this weasel name-calling, I think its the better of two evils.

This is too ALL members, whether JB or AD fans....mujhe koi farak nahin penda 😛 Keep the actors out of your discussions unless you want to make constructive criticism i.e. PD's make-up. Respond to the characters and just remember that you shouldn't offend a real person for a reel person. Agree?? 😊
