chapter 4
Soon both of them were at the stream and freshnin up , this time they were together( dont get yr dirty minds at work ...) keeping in mind what happened last time they washed the mangoes as well and eat them ..once the breakfast cum lunch was done they started on their journey...
jai: i think today shud be our last day here .. this has been quite a long stay away frm work even though i must say it was worth it cause i have found a friend like u .. but this is my longest vacation 2 + days away frm work .....
bani: o my god 2 days is yr longest vacation are u serious jai
jai nodded in the affirmative
bani: amazin u r truly amazin, to tell u the truth, i am wondering what my cousins n friends back in india will say when i tell them ....abt u... they no i have never had a guy as friend before and the first one i make is u
jai( what do u no i am surprised i made the move of being friends with u , i have a female friend in 36 yrs wow n that to a 19yr old ,circumstances make u do weird things though in this case i really dont regret it ,infact i am quite thankful ): once u tell them jai walia first they will thank the almighty that u have come back alive and that i have not eaten u up and secondly they ll ask u if jai walia the labeled womaniser was all over u.....thats my image all over...
bani : what r u saying jai u r not like that holy crap ill tell them u r a nice person bec of whom i cud make it back home safe n sound ...why this image ....
jai; well rude n cold n emotionless well thats been spread by my competitors n some people who've worked for me n womaniser well thats what women who cudnt get me say abt me....well really thats what its all abt...
bani; how do u take all that in .....u shud get married that will solve things a little , look hard n ull find a match....
jai ; ya masi has been after my life but havent found ne one , the point is people want the successful jai walia and his success and nobody bothers to touch jai or care to find out what he's all abt....masi even made me go thru u no those typical arranged meetings but its all the same my looks my money takes over me and just bec all of them no abt my so called written abt lifestyle they try to lure me physically really thinking i am a womaniser of sorts...and as far as my dates go the less said the better, each one worse than the other
bani started laufing , jai was like what happened
bani; nothing i was just visualising the scene hilarious hey next time u r going for one of yr such meetings masi arranged ones or yr dates call me as well i wanna see how women lure the womaniser jai walia ....
jai affectionately patted her head n said: sure i will....thats is if i go to one....
they continued walkin rite thru the evening to make up for their lost time .....with bani clutching on to jai's wrist every time a monkey screached , jai ended laufing his head out everytime....as nite descended they were still not out of the woods ...
bani: its so dark jai kaise dikh raha where we r going .....(there was a slight tremble in her voice the darkness was bothering her and to top that the various animal noises)
jai: ya cant claim to c very well but i can make out where we r headed , i am afraid aaj raat rest nahin milega do u wanna stop n continue tomorrow
bani: whatever u think is ok wohi karte hain aap decide karo
jai: can u manage walking rite thru the nite .. yr foot can u manage
bani : haan i think i can..
jai: then lets keep going .....(as he pulled her closer to him) dont worry ull be fine nothing is gonna get to u....i am there trust me...
bani: ofcourse i do ....
they walked rite thru the nite even thru the short downpour that happened leaving both of them drenched and later on suffering frm cold ....
As dawn broke and the lite in the forest improved they continued their journey all tired n hungry and by afternoon there wait was over caos they reached the end of the dense vegetation now only the short journey down the slope of the hill was left as they both stood at the edge of the peak and looked they saw a village just down the slope
jai: finally uss jungle se nikal aaye all thanx to u tumne spirit show ki to carry on rite thru the nite ...(and he sneezed)
bani: god bless u ,par ab isse neeche kaise jayenge...
jai; pairon se chal ke ...
bani: i mean i cant jai (as she pointed to her heal shoes) in shoes say itna chal liya wohi bohot hai i cant my foot is gone completely...
jai: bataya kyun nahin we cud have stopped yaar i cud have piked u up n walked... silly girl...show me yr foot as both of them sat down and bani showed him her foot ...
jai: crap bani u shudnt have done this as he looked at her blue swollen foot and the wound had opened up again and blood had flown out and dried ...chalo now that we r out we'll get u proper treatment....
bani: par abhi neeche kaise ?
jai: chalo utho ,
bani and jai got up and jai without a delay lifted her up in his arms.....
jai : ab theek hai not bad u r pretty lite , but i cant see where i step so u guide me .....
bani : ya thnku n sorry i m bothering u when u r yrself in such a miserable state....as she looked at jai' s bruised n fatigued face n body and he felt warm as well , she was sure he had fever
jai: me miserable nah i am a tuf guy u c bani and then when i am in such awesome company my friend how can i be miserable.....(now now now when was the last time he spoke to someone like that forget a girl.. forget it never...he wondered )
As jai ever so carefully made his way down with bani in his arms and guiding him...once there jai put bani down and they walked towards a group of children playing ..jai just hoped that one of them atleast goes to school where they teach english
so that he can find out a way to reach the city closest....
jai( tapping the shoulder of one of the kids); hi, u no english
kid: yes, we all do
jai: great, finally sum luck,can u tell which city is closest to yr village n how do we get there
kid: yes, yaounde is abt 3/4 hrs frm here u can take the bus which is to leave in abt 10 mins frm the village centre it doesnt go to the city as such but will drop u on the outskirts of the city frm where u can easily get a taxi/cab..
jai: thnx u so much can u take us to yr village centre if u r not to busy ...(the kid smiled and said yes)
so jai , bani n the kid walked up to village centre all thru the walk the kid asked jai abt how they landed in this village and jai told their whole story in short and asked the kid abt his life as well)
kid: u r here and the bus goes frm there , c its there( as he pointed to a run down bus standing at a distance frm where they were)
jai: thnx a lot ......
And both jai n bani bid adieu to the kid and boarded the bus .....
ok thats it, boring tha naa kya karoon this is a sorta filler for action to begin sort of .... i beleive promises r not meant to be broken so here is the update for today .... i promise to make the next part better but just this story more abt emotional attachment than physical attraction ... so romance will have to wait....
