A lovely episode spoiled by my Munna's insistence on watching some inane cricket match. Anyways my comments based on whatever I could see.
The new triangle: Pia cannot help getting entangled in triangles it seems. First, it was B-P-P (two sisters in love with the same man), then J-P-P (foster father- foster son in love with the same girl) and then J-B-P (P (two sisters in love with the same man, a diff one this time). But for a change she is likely to get tangled in a non-incestuous love triangle. Whew, what a relief! Doc was offering consolation to Pooch and advising him to mend ties with Pia. But seriously, she knows that Pia is carrying another man's child, how does she realistically expect Pooch to accept her. Anyways, I don't think Pia was too thrilled to see Doc putting her hands on him. Two questions: 1) How come Pia came to the very same coffee shop that Pooch chose, telepathy?, 2) Why didn't Pooch try the jealousy therapy earlier?
On a more serious note, J-B were dancing together in a rare, reflective mood. JW finally seems to be developing something like a brain, maybe St. Billo's shradha ceremony has had some good effect. He has realised that Bani was lying but has decided not to lose trust in her and is thinking that there must be some good reason for Bani to be keeping things from him. Then again he speculates as to whether his own karnamas have made Bani lose trust in him. But what was even better than trusting Bani was distrusting TS. He has (I guess very rightlyy) started suspecting TS of having underhand intentions, of playing games with Bani in order to separate them. Backed by impeccable logic- TS had never tried to bring them back together.
Now for the dialogue of the century. Amma's pious declaration to herself "I am not one of those women who hide things from their husband", I think this has to rate with St. Kiran's "Koi bhi galtee…." as one of the genuine gems of KS till date. There is of course the little matter of Anu pregnancy, Banigiri-divorce-alimony case, Sahil's murders etc. but I guess these matters are so trivial that they need not be disclosed to Munna. And incidentally, what is the rationale for hiding the truth about Sahil's murder- a kasam given to the great TS (who is he? Her father, her elder brother, her guru, her lover, her saat janam ka saathi?), JW would be hurt if he finds out (How long can a murder be hidden and how will JW react if he finds that his wife has been concealing it)
That brings me to the essential diff between JW and Bani. When the former is wrong, he usually realises it and tries to atone for it, for the latter it is a high treason even to suggest that she can ever be wrong.
Some more raaz:
- Who tried to assassinate JW- the sheer incompetence of the assassin on repeated occasions suggests Sahil.
- Why did Rano-Ranveer get married- because of the letter, what was there in it, will not speculate, must be silly enuff to unjustify any marriage let alone a bigamous, incetuous marriage between a jeth and a bahu.
Why is Jigs trying to instigate Rashi, a girl who is going to die anyways in 2-3 months time. Is it because she knows that she won't ? And can be used as a pawn in her future games?
A cute J-B scene at the end. OK Sangs, Bani does not claim to love JW, she does love him, although she has rather weird ways of showing it. Her concern showed. And she made available her second line of expertise- packing bags (the first place of course is held by jasoosi) in the service of JW's London trip. Obviously this trip coincides with RK's holiday. Now lets see what havoc Bani and her new best friend TS (I almost yearn for the days when she would cavort around with Pooch) wreak on JW and the hapless Walia khandaan while poor Munna is in London.
Rgds,
Priyanka
