Chapter 10

Ranveer and Jai walked into the living room to see Sahil showing off his muscles to Tarun. His sleeve was rolled up and he was trying to flex his arm muscles to an unimpressed Tarun. "Sahil your muscles hardly become bigger when you flex," Tarun said to Sahil whose face was red. "Look closely than you can see my huge biceps," Sahil replied indicating Tarun to come closer. Jai came from behind, "Sahil don't hurt yourself now." Sahil stood up now, "What do you mean?" "Your muscles aren't developed yet, a couple more visits to the gym will do it," Ranveer winked at Jai. "Listen guys I know you're jealous of my physique but god just gives it to some people naturally, you know. Now god's the one you should be angry with, not me," Sahil smirked.

Jai, Ranveer and Tarun stared at each other puzzled. Tarun started to laugh, "You mean to say you are more fit than all of us?" "Umm, yeah," Sahil said. "Well if you are that tough than why not we all have a competition," Jai said. "Competition?" Ranveer questioned. "Yeah you see the metal bar in the room we work out in?" Jai asked. "You mean that high gray bar?," Ranveer said. "Uh huh, we will see how much times we can pull our selves up on that," Jai said looking at Sahil. "Obviously I'm going to do the most," Sahil bragged. "How about who ever does the least pull-ups, they have to do something we tell them to do," Tarun smiled at Sahil. "Fine," everyone agreed and they left to the work-out room.

On the other hand the girls were chatting in Laxmi's room. Laxmi was putting on nail polish sitting on a chair that was directly in front of her make-up table. Rano and Rashi were sitting on the bed cross-legged as Bani was lying down on her stomach with her elbows up and face in her hands. "So Rano how did you meet Sahil?" Laxmi asked. Rashi, Bani and Laxmi all listened carefully as they were very interested.

Rano began, "It was the first day of University and I was like almost running through the hall ways because I was getting late for class. Than we bumped into each other and our books got scattered. We started to get into an argument about whose fault it was and we eventually picked our books up knowing we were both late for class. We later found we were both in the same class, although at that time we hated each other. We would get into a fight for the littlest thing. Months went by and we became friends believe it or not. Than he asked me out one day and I was shocked because I didn't know he liked me. I was confused about my feelings so I didn't know what to say. I later found out that I actually liked him too deep down. I mean even though most of his jokes were silly it still brought a smile to my face and made my day. So that's how we met," Rano said shyly.

"How cute," Rashi said. "Sahil made the first move not surprising," Laxmi winked. Rano blushed as Bani laughed. "How did you and Tarun meet," Bani asked Laxmi. "Well, I had just moved into the Walia Mansion because my mom died and Masi, my aunt told me to move in with them. Than Tarun came one day to talk to Jai and lets just say it was love at first sight," Laxmi smiled dreamily. "And you Rashi?" Rano asked.

"It was an arranged marriage just like Jai and Bani. Ranveer and I got to know each other and we fell in love as simple as that," she leaned back on the head rest. " Bani we all know how you and Jai met but how did it feel when you first met him," Rashi asked smiling. "I don't know how does it feel when you first meet someone?" Bani replied blushing. "Oh come on we all told our stories so you have to at least share this much with us," Laxmi said. "Okay fine, when he first came I was really nervous but when he started talking I felt more comfortable and I felt as if I wasn't making a wrong decision to have an arranged marriage," she said opening up. "Aww," the girls said. "I wonder what the guys are doing now?" Rano said curiously.

Tarun had done 61 pull-ups and he was sweating like crazy while Ranveer did 65 and he stopped after that. Now it was Jai's turn he took a grip of the metal bar and started to pull himself up. His biceps and abs started to move while he moved in a upwards and downwards motion. Seventy, seventy-one, Jai counted in his head. His hands started getting sweaty and he paused for a second. " Hi Bani," Sahil said looking towards the door. Jai looked towards the door and lost his grip which made him fall down on his back. He looked to the door and back at Sahil, there was no one there. "You are such a cheater," Jai said coming towards him. "All I said was hi Bani, so just because you got tired and wanted to let go don't blame me," Sahil grinned going towards the metal bar.

Jai let him go because he didn't feel like arguing when he was tired. Sahil began to do pull-ups and the guys looked on waiting for him to fall and for them to do something horrible to him according to the deal. He was at 58 and the guys were surprised, it seemed Sahil worked out in America. "Twenty-two more bhaiya and I beat your record making me number one," Sahil grinned at Jai. "Fall, fall," the guys were thinking. All of a sudden Masi burst into the room catching Sahil off guard.

He fell to the floor with a thud and the guys sighed a relief. "What are you gentlemen doing here," Masi began her lecture. "Uhhh, exercising," Sahil looked up at Masi. "On the floor," she asked puzzled. "Yeah you know push-ups," he answered getting up. "This is a vacation we are supposed to spend time with each other," she said angrily, "Not exercising on the floor!" Jai tried to hold his laugh but he failed leaving Masi more angry, "Do you think this is funny?" Jai nodded his head looking down suppressing his laugh.

"Now Tarun and Ranveer go spend time with your wives and you two spend time with your fiances," she ordered. They all nodded their heads and Masi left the room, "I want to see you guys with them in the next ten minutes." "I guess we better go before she gets more angry," Sahil said trying to exit. "Excuse me did you forget that the person who does the least pull-ups is punished?" Jai said grabbing his arm. "You guys are going to punish me?" Sahil put a depressed face on. "Yes, because you brag a lot," Tarun said crossing his arms.

"Okay, but be easy on me," Sahil said. "So what should we do with him Jai?" Ranveer looked at Jai than Tarun smiling. "Oh don't worry leave that up to me, I will be back in just a minute," Jai turned and left. He came back minutes later carrying a glass with him that contained a greenish brown liquid mixture. "Here I made this especially for you," he smiled. "Are you serious?" Sahil gulped as he smelled the awful aroma. "Yepp drink up buddy!" Jai grinned widely. Sahil took the glass and took a swallow. He wanted to throw up as he tasted the chunky raw horrible liquid which burned his throat. He made a disgusted face and the guys laughed.

"Jai what exactly did you put in that?" Ranveer asked. "Chestnuts, milk, orange juice, banana, apple, eggplant, eggs, chocolate syrup, cereal and I forgot the rest," he replied cheekily. Ranveer and Tarun started laughing as they saw Sahil drink it up. "So how did you like it princess?" they started laughing again until they were out of breath. "I will get you back for this," he replied before running to the bathroom.
