Chapter 10

Bani was happy that Jai had got custody of Sia but he wouldn't be happy of the fact that everyone in the family would come to know of Sia's parentage and Pushkar's involvement in the affair. She will have to reason out with Jai over this and he would surely get mad at her for messing up things. When had her plans taken its own course or was it that she wanted the family to know the truth so that they could feel guilty over their lack of confidence in Jai. Bani couldn't reaaly decide why she had allowed the truth to come out because if she wanted things to be discreetly done she could have done it but she never took the extra effort for that. And Jai would definitely question her about that, just two more day s to join him though she was happy about going back but this little problem was there in the back of her mind.

Meanwhile in the family Lakshmi had confided to her mother Karuna and they had gone along with Bani to see Sia and she was happy that people from the family came to visit her also was very excited about meeting up with Jai when the term ends Bani had made friends with her though initially she was slightly with drawn but with the encouragement from Pushkar and Lakshmi, she was more open to Bani and made friends with her over their outing during the weekend form the boarding school . For Sia Puskar and Lakshmi were just like members of the family and Bani was an outsider. But soon things were going to be different. Sia was so happy that her father was coming back to her and that he had send Bani to get her. The rest of the things did not matter to her. Bani had informed her that now she will be having younger siblings to play with but her father is preparing for her a big surprise. So the outing with Pushkar and Lakshmi to see Sia had gone out very well and Pushkar had informed Bani that the family would know about Sia's parentage slowly but before she left for the U.S. They wanted to know if Jai would be coming any time to India but Bani had carefully evaded the question by changing the topic and talking about business. Pushkar and Lakshmi also felt that Bani didn't want to answer that particular question but why all this secrecy.


Finally Bani had left for U.S. and Karuna had informed massi about Sia parentage at first massi was upset over all the secrecy and the incident that happened in the office with Bani and Pushkar which led to all this. Why hadn't Tarun and Aditya informed her about it? She was generally upset with everyone. Adi and Tarun said they were not sure about everything that is why they didn't want to inform her. They were surprised with the turn about of events. Pushkar being Sia's father and now things seemed to be more clear of what had happened which triggered the break up of Jai and Pia also the sudden loss of interest of Jai in Sia.
After a few days Pushkar comes to the Walia house with Lakshmi and they have good news to announce to the family that Lakshmi is finally expecting and this time the treatment was successful. Pushkar was little worried about coming and seeing them but then Lakshmi and Karuna had forced to come along and that things in the past were by gones and no use now worrying about all that and the family doesn't hold any grudges against him.
Everyone congratulated the couple and they were having sweets when Pushkar accidentally mentioned about Sia moving to the U.S. in another two months.
Massi: I hope she will be able to adjust over there and you have made the right decision. I know Jai loved her like a daughter but now he is married and they would have kids don't know then what the scenario would be
Pushkar: But they already have kids in fact twins.
Now everyone gathered there was shocked as in all the truth revealing process Pushkar and Lakshmi never mentioned about the kids Frankly they didn't' know much about them as Bani didn't volunteer any information about that.
Massi was the first to speak and she couldn't hide her excitement
Massi: Jai has kids I just can't believe it. You said twins are they boys or girls.
Pushkar: That I never asked her.
Adi: Then what did you ask her.
Pushkar: I didn't ask her about her kids she had volunteered this information after that we never talked much about it only about Sia was our topic of discussion.
Tarun: Typical Pushkar never to go into the depth of things unless it is to market something.
Pushkar: now don't come with your guns at me I thought you all would be happy with this bit of news but looks to me that I should have kept quite about all this. Well may be all hope is not lost. Bani will be coming again to take Sia to the U.S. she has asked me to come and see her then so may be i will ask her then.
Massi: May be I can come with you.
Tarun: Earth to Massi. She might do anything for Jai but remember we are on the enemy side according to her for judging Jai and being harsh with him.
Massi: Well Jai never disclosed anything to us about Sia and how were we supposed to know all this was going on.
Tarun: So that she can remind us that you never trusted the one man who has been the pillar of support for us during our good and bad times. Do you want her to throw all that on our face?
Massi: She has the right to her opinion we and she has known only Jai and not us so I don't mind going and seeing her if I get to see my son and grand children if Jai doesn't come down to see me I could go there if they don't mind me visiting.
Adi: Massi you are just unbelievable. Bani would never let us anywhere near Jai or the kids unless Jai himself wants it so the move has to come from your son but not her as I get it. I notice that you are developing a soft spot for Bani what is happening.
Massi: If only I could talk to him once and say that I'm sorry for everything then I could die in peace.
Nachiketh: Die in peace massi please we all know that you just want to see Jai and the kids. No wonder Karuna is so jealous of Jai you favor him the most.
Massi: he is my son.
Nachiketh: God help us all if Jai was to come back we all better find another place to live.
Adi: Stop pulling massi's leg and think about how we could get to talk to Jai.
Tarun: What do you all plan to do when Bani comes next time kidnap her.
Massi: You all only can sit and joke over something like this
Adi: Massi we all agree with you that you want to see the kids and Jai even we want to see him and the kids but why isn't he coming down to India.
Nachiketh: May be his iron woman has imprisoned him in her castle.
Pushkar: Stop it Nachiketh. She really cares for Jai and there is something else the I had overlooked in our conversation with Jai sir's wife.
Tarun: More secrets Pushkar. You are really becoming one big Pandora's box. Is there no end to all this?
Pushkar: Tarun just listen or may be its just a hunch as I didn't think much about it then but now I feel there is something. When Sia asked for Jai's photo and the kids to keep next to her bed in the hostel Bani said she hadn't brought any recent photos of Jai and the kid's photo she left in the hotel. Also when Sia asked for Jai's photo Bani kind of looked worried. Lakshmi then do you remember from the hotel when the purse fell from her bag I had seen a wedding snap inside but couldn't make out the face but I'm sure it was Jai's and hers.
Adi: Then if she had the photos in the purse why not show it to Sia. Some things are not still clear what it is.
Pushkar: I am hoping to clear things with her as she is quite inclined over the fact that I want to be a part of Sia's life so may be that would work to our advantage.
Tarun: Well that is the only hope now for us to get across to Jai.

I shall try to do another update to night as I know I have delayed. Sorry for it.
