Sahil walked into JB's room wondering where they went as the ceremony is about to start.
S: Oops… Sry to disturb you….
Bani got out of Jai's embrace and just smiled at Sahil. She left the room to join the rest of the family downstairs.
S: What's up Mamaji?
J: Umm… nothing…
S: No… there should be something…
J: Like I said nothing…
S, winking: So u and mami were planning not to attend the mehendi ceremony today. Huh?
J: Shut up Sahil…
S: Ya ya…
J: Sahil… when you get married you will understand too…
S: I can't wait…
J: Relax… it is day after tomorrow only…
S: Meaning 48 hours… that is soo long…
J: Be quiet Sahil… don't become like those stupid lovers…
S: I am a lover mamaji… a person who has sunk deeply in the ocean of love…
J: there is no point in talking to you Sahil…
Jai just walked off shaking his head. He walked down the stairs and saw bani and some other ladies applying mehendi to Rano, who was blushing… Jai smiled at Bani, who turned and returned it… He stood in a corner adoring his wife… the one and only…
Rano: Di, even you apply mehendi…
B: No no…
R: come on di…
Kiran: Haan beta, even you apply it…
Bani gave in and spread her palms out… One of the designers immediately started her work… She drew some awesome designs and Bani was amazed at how perfectly the beautician drew everything… She couldn't even draw a straight line…
Bani was getting bored sitting there… She looked around everywhere and found Jai standing in a corner, obviously looking at her… Bani blushed just at the sight of him… Jai indicated her to go to the terrace… Bani first shook her head, but changed her mind and said yes. She made up a lame excuse and went up to the terrace…
Bani stared at the moon as she stood there silently, waiting for Jai. He crept up behind her after a few minutes and hugged her tightly.
J: Isn't the weather nice?
B: Ya… and someone else is nice too…
J: Are you talking about me Bani?
B: Umm… lest see… who else is here?
J: Okay, why am I nice?
B: Because you take such good care of me…
J: You are my Jaan sweetheart.. Of course I will take care of you…
B: And you love me like there is no one other than me for u…
J: You are the only have now any Bani… and my little Baby, who will be here in nine months…
B: And I don't want anyone else than you Jai… You are enough for me…
J: Not even the baby?
B: No… What if you start liking him more than me?

R: Nothing in such romantic weather?
B: huh?
R, winking: I heard mamaji is very romantic…
B: Shut up Raashi…
R: Then what were you two doing on the terrace…
B: Ummm… I was… getting…. bored… so… we went upstairs…
R: Ya right…
The rest of the evening passed with Bani chatting with the rest of the girls. By the time she said bye to the last friend, it was close to midnight. Jai already retired to his room as he never liked any parties, but HAD to attend them…
He probably isn't sleeping, though Bani as she lazily climbed the stairs. And yes she was right. When she entered the room, she found Jai sitting on the bed, reading a magazine. She came and sat down on the bed.
J: Finally… what do women talk about? It is like forever…
B: I wasn't interested… but it isn't polite to leave in middle of a party…
J: you actually have the patience to sit there and bear all that nonsense…
B: first of all, it is not nonsense, and yes I do have patience to deal with you, so having patience with others is a piece of cake…
J: piece of cake huh?
B: Ya… after all, I am JW's wife… who else would have more patience than me?
J: I know lots of people who have more patience than YOU…
B: Oh really?
J: Ya…
B: And may I know who they are…
J: ummm… Simran…
B: Simran? Who is this Simran now?
J: My college friend…
B: Friend or girlfriend?
J: Who do u think she is?
B: girlfriend…
Jai came really close to bani… his face was just a few inches away from hers…
J: you really think so?
But bani didn't have a chance to reply as his lips met hers… She knew this was coming, and she accepted it gladly… After all, she was JW's wife… the love of his life…

Jai and Bani lay awake as the clock ticked. Bani was resting her head on Jai's chest as he examined her hands, trying to find his name. Bani peeled off the mehendi as it became dry and was careful not to touch water…
B: Anyway, who is this simran?
J: Simran?
B: haan…
J: She was my college friend… we used to hang out together… and besides she was the only person who did not go by my money or looks….
B: you mean u were famous cuz of ur money?
J: Ya… no body saw talent or anything in me except the loads of cash in my bank account. My dad and mom were never strict and when they passed away in a car accident, I had to handle the family business…
B: You miss your life… don't you?
J: Who wouldn't if they were in my position… I was only 18 when my parents left everything on my shoulders… yes, I fell along the way… lots of times…it took me a long time to understand how the world works... and a lot of hard work to pick myself up and start walking again… Maybe that is why I am soo harsh… I have seen too much in a young age… I forgot what fun meant to me… I learned a few harsh lessons in a very difficult way and that is why I don't let it repeat again…
B: You are not harsh Jai… its just that the world doesn't understand you… you have a weak past and that is why you make your present strong… but who cares about what people say… I know who you are and that is enough for me…
J: And that is why I love you more than anything… in spite of having massi, I never felt so close to someone… it is like my loneliness finally left me and my life is filled with colours once again…
B: There were always colours in you life Jai… it's just that you never saw them the other way around…
J, smiling: I love you Bani…
B: I love you too… Now let's forget this philosophical talk…
J: I know… philosophy and Bani never go together…
B: Ya they do… but its just that they are too boring
J: Oh I forgot… Simran is coming tomorrow…
B: huh?
J: Ya… She is coming for the wedding…
B: But tomorrow is the haldi…
J: I know… she is coming a day early…
B: it will be interesting to see her…
J: I was just kidding Bani… no one has as much patience as you do…

Jai closed upon Bani reaching to her lips, but Bani just pushed him away…
B: No… its…
too late already joined his lips with hers… She groaned, but understood no point in the arguing… he was way too strong…
