Chapter 13

The next day early morning. Jai felt something warm snuggling closely to him and then when he tried to get up he saw in the morning rays filtering trough the binds of the curtain Bani had moved towards his side and her head was resting in his hand and she had her limbs half entwined with his. Slowly trying not to wake her up Jai tired to pull away or he felt Bani would start eating his head in the morning itself. But as he tried to pull away Bani snuggled up closer and was now almost on top of him. Finally Jai tried to move her by calling Bani Honey Its morning and I know you love to sleep through the early hours but at least if I don't get and freshen up now we will be late. Bani slowly trying to open her eyes noticed that she was really in a compromising position with Jai and was about to open her mouth when she realized that it was she who had moved to wards him.
Bani: sorry didn't know I must have moved in my sleep.
Jai: Well I kind of enjoyed waking up to see my wife sleeping in my arms and he moved to the wash room.
Bani: That got Bani wide and awake but before she could reply he was gone.
She got Jai's dress out of the cupboard and arranged all his things then rung up for the coffee. While she was having coffee Jai came out of the shower in his robe and saw that she had laid out all the things for him.
Bani on seeing him out: shall I pour coffee for you.
Jai: Yes and thank you. Bani just looked up what was he thanking for then she realized he was thanking her for keeping all his things ready for him. Slowly she goes to freshen up and goes down for breakfast she sees that everyone was almost through with their breakfast and Jai was no where to be seen.
Rano: Di come and sit. Bani was looking around for Jai.
Pushkar: Bani looking around for something or rather someone.
Bani: Mr. Walia
Rano: God Di can't you ever think about something else.
Massi: Stop troubling her Jai has gone to see about the honey moon trip. He has asked you to be ready in half an hour.
Somehow she knew everyone knew about the trip except for her. She tried to get it out of Rano and Pushkar while they were talking Jai enters.
Rano: Well it's a surprise from Jiju and I'm not going to spoil it for him.
Bani: come on this is your Di you never hide things from her.
Jai: Rano looks like your sister has been eating your head off.
Rano: Talk about it.
Bani: Rano when did you change sides.
Rano: The day I realized my jiju makes more sense than you di and runs to hide behind Pushkar.
Bani: Rano and tries to catch her but Jai holds her come on I know how persuasive you get when you want to know something so shall we make a move now or we will miss the flight.

Bani came to know that they were going to Seychelles for their honeymoon. She felt strange sitting with Jai in the air craft. Though they have traveled so many times together she felt so different. Why is it that I feel so different and now why do I always want Mr. Walia to notice me for what I am?
Jai feeling that Bani is lost in her world.
Jai: Care to share your thoughts.
Bani: Eh when did you arrange all this?
Jai: come on Bani why I do have so many sectaries to do my job and its not that I cannot arrange things by myself.
Bani remembers that she was his personal assistant till few days before and she was the one who arranged everything for him so from now on some one else is going to do all that.
Jai: Don't let your thoughts wonder away. Bani come on give your mind a rest and enjoy
Well she thought if he could do it then why can't I. the flight was an uneventful one as Jai was doing something on the laptop and Bani flicked through the magazines and kept looking at Jai from time to time and thought if he was going to ignore her this way why take a trip they could have stayed in Bombay itself. Jai felt Bani was staring at him but didn't look up or say a word.

They checked into the resort and it had a private beach and separate cottages for the guests. Bani and Jai were to spend two weeks here. Bani felt this is going to be real torture for her but contrary to her feelings they had a pleasant time and she got to know about Jai more as a person. They went together for swimming in the beach, took long drives and Jai taught her the basics of driving. Every night they would walk down the beach and share their child hood memories. Bani got to understand Jai's Behavior as to why he never opened out to anyone and she was happy to know that Jai shared his feelings with her. She loved to sleep snuggled up close to Jai though it was pure torture for him to sleep like that. Every night it was like a ritual Jai would take a book to read while Bani enjoyed gazals and hot chocolate drink with marsh mellows they both would sit in the arm chair and Jai would rock his wife to sleep.
One day they went diving and water skiing too though Bani was first scared to venture into such things Jai encouraged her and that is when Bani realized that Jai loved water just like she did. It was one of the happiest days in both their lives.

The last evening as Jai and Bani were watching the sunset at the beach holding their hands Bani realized she would have loved to stay on here and be just with Jai. Why was it that Jai's one look and that could bring a smile on her face and she felt happy when he was by her side? She couldn't just let go of Jai out of her head even for a second. How did he become the centre of her life with in few days? Has she started to develop feelings for her husband? He often said that he wanted her as a wife in the true sense of the word and now she didn't mind getting intimate with her husband though she had some doubts like if Jai really loved her for what she is or just the novelty of being in love with some one as innocent as her. But she was sure of one thing she could never imagine her life now without Jai and may be that is what they all call love. That is when the realization hit her God she had fallen in love with this man she wanted to tell him but what would he say as Bani knew that Jai was skeptical about love. May be with time he would realize that he too can love someone the way she loves him. But for now she just wants to hold on to this feeling of being in love with someone for the first time.
Mean while Jai was taking it easy and he was happy that Bani had started taking great interests in his affairs and wanted to please him. He liked everything about her but especially her innocence and happiness that shown in her eyes. Was it because of me, is she now ready to accept me as her husband or just because we are alone here.
After we go back may be then she would show some sign that we both could take this relationship to the next level. Though Bani didn't mind being kissed he was still doubtful.

Next day morning they were late to get up so they had to hurry up. This time their journey home Bani felt that things were going to be different and she was going to show Jai how much she loved him and she was smiling to herself.
Jai seeing her smile: Hope that smile is for me.
Bani: I don't think that every time you have to be told.
Jai: It's good for my ego to know that my wife thinks about me all the time.
Bani: Ego god Mr. Walia I don't think you have got a low esteem rather too much of ego.
Jai: Bani now are we back to that cat fight.
Bani: Well you started it.
Jai: I think I better keep my mouth closed.
Bani: you don't have to do that I love to hear you talk.
Jai: Is it all that you love about me.
Bani: Well like you always say read my eyes Jai what do you see in that?
Jai: You are stealing my lines. God what have I done to my innocent little Bani.
Bani: So now I am no more innocent because I have started learning your wicked ways.
Jai: You haven't seen even half of it my dear wife shall I begin with it
Bani was so shocked Mr. Walia this is an aircraft behave yourself.
Jai: so what I can't kiss my wife and kisses her on the lips but just then they are interrupted by the airhostess for drinks.
Bani was blushing to the roots and were embarrassed that someone had caught them in such a way.
Bani: Mr. Walia behave.
Jai: fine your loss but holds her tightly close to him and she has her head resting on his chest while he was stroking her hair slowly they drifted off to light sleep and had woken up with the announcement of the arrival at Bombay airport.

ohhh so sweet...so nothing happened during the honeymoon???...but I have a feeling we are going to need to book another honeymoon soon...hehe naughty me...

That was amazing. I just read the last three updates. Man was I behind or what. Things really moved quick didn't they. So are they going to go back to being snappy at each other. And when are they going to take the next step into their relationship. Really eager to know.
