I am going strongly to disagree with you. I work with women who leave abusive realtionships. often men will comment that a woman is a woman's worst enemy because we do not stand up for each other. As a woman I was proud that a mother in law stood strong for her daughter in law. She proved to the world that her daughter in law is truly her daughter and her pain is that of a mother. As an Indian one of our flaws has been that we forgive our sons almost everything. We always like Jigassa justify that men are not wrong like she said yeaterday oh well he needed a child or he was pushed into this. We women need to move away from this kind of thinking. What is wrong is wrong. Jai threw out Bani when he thought she was pregant with another man's child. He called her a whore and now he had done the same. Same crime, same punishment. I am so glad of today's episode. I feel we women have moved o years further. I hope all mother in laws take note.
as i mentioned in my original post, i do commend massi on that one point, that she stood up for her daughter-in-law - heartening to see because it rarely happens. but as usual, in my opinion, it is shown to occur in circumstances where for once, it was the son that needed support! in all of kekta's shows it is always the man at fault, regardless of what the heroine has done she comes out smelling of roses - in this situation that is completely wrong!!
although this post was about Massi's hypocrisy rather than the part of Jai or Bani in this situation i would just like to answer the point you made about Bani's fake pregnancy.
Even in that situation Jai took Bani aside and asked her whether what he was hearing was true. They barely knew each other yet he had that much sense to clarify things first. it was only when Bani categorically confirmed the case that he went crazy, and his reaction was right in relation to what she was telling him. the only reason we knew he was wrong is because we were privvy to Bani's side of the story - he wasn't!!
here no-one has given him even the slightest opportunity to say a single word, and this too after their relationship has developed so much!!
but going back to Massi's hypocrisy - it is good for her to stick up for her daughter-in-law BUT Jai IS her son, the least she could do is hear him out.
