Chapter 7

A few days passed and they kept in touch and then a month and their bond grew stronger. They knew they had to pass this test of time. There were insecurities that they both needed to overcome.

Sending of hand-written letters was a common thing for them. It was more personal and the closest they could get to each other. Both of them missed the hug, the kisses, lying for hours in each others arms doing nothing at all.

One of the letters that is was and would always remain close to Bani's heart is the 3rd letter he wrote to her.

Dear Bani,

Hi sweetheart, I hope everything is well with you, though I just spoke to you 30 minutes ago it seems like 30 lifetimes ago. I can't help but worry about how you are. I just want to come there and hold you in my arms. Kiss your forehead and make you mine forever and ever.

There is this girl in my university who every guy is crazy after and her, after me. Can you believe that? But it's ok even if you don't cos' I am yours and only yours even if you don't want it to be that way.

I don't know if I have ever told you this but your eyes are like an ocean a man can drown into by just looking at them, your smile so enchanting that a man's life can never be dark again, your gaze so captivating, no one would want to break away from it, your hair so soft that a man doesn't need to touch the mulmul ever. Now I got to rush so I will talk to you later.
I'll just end with something nonsensical I spruced up.

When I am at dinner with my friends,
I am only thinking about you.
When I have to clean my room,
I think of the times I've shared with you.
When I am playing computer games,
I am counting down the hours remaining until I get to speak to you.
When I try to figure out my life,

Letters were plenty but the unsaid message this letter conveyed meant more to Bani than anything else.

After a few days, and a few letters later Jai received another letter from Bani. He had not got a letter from her for two weeks and they hadn't spoken in 4 days. He had begun to get worried now. When someone came to his room and knocked on the door saying that a letter had come for him, he skipped a heart beat. His heart was pounding as he picked up the small white envelope that lay on the floor outside his room. It had been lying there all this time. With trembling hands, he removed the letter.

This particular letter was and will always be remembered by Jai…
