Chapter 18
Bani's Wedding arrangements

Tarun and Massi return from Mt Abu and inform them that in the last week of January there it is a very auspicious day as per their stars and every one is happy except Jai feels he has to wait too long. But Bani feels it is nice as Ranu will still have one moth to prepare for her board exams and she can come for her Christmas break and do shopping for the wedding also Pia will be back form her first modeling assignment. But three weeks into the preparation and Bani starts to get frustrated and felt things were going out of hand. She just keeps moving from one appointment to another while Jai sits absolutely relaxed as he kept reminding her that he wanted to get married quickly but she was the one who wanted it do be done with the fane fair and the family. All her dress fitting appointments and shopping with all the members of the family as they never agreed on anything it more over she was driving her crazy and she never even got to be alone with Jai.

Finally almost after three weeks, one evening while the family is all looking over the shopping and other arrangements that have to be done.

Bani: Jai tomorrow I am coming to the office all this is driving me crazy I think we should have eloped and got married.
Jai and all others were so shocked at her comment.
Jai: Now angel that would have been a very nice idea if you had half the brains to tell me that three weeks before now darling all the invitations have started to go and so much of preparation is half way we don't want to disappoint everyone in the family. They are so excited about all this.
Bani: God have I changed you so much that now you have started to get concerned about everyone and you seem to be enjoying all this too.
Jai: I plan to get married only once so I better do it in style.
Bani: Perhaps then you could contribute instead of leaving everything for me to decide
Jai: As far as I can remember you only said that I am good in business deals but when it comes to other things I am rather incompetent and everyone had voted for your opinion so now be a good girl and make everyone happy.
Anu: Mammi this is the only change you get to use up all your husbands money. After marriage they all become miserly.
Sahil: It looks as though you have had lots of experience .
Anu: Why do I have to get married for that in this house the men folks run the house only after bani mamai has come our voices were heard.
Nachiketh: Bhai I think that comment is for you
Jai: No way I have always got her what she wanted.
Anu: Then Can I have the designer dress for the wedding.
Jai: Hold on nobody is going to look more glamorous than my wife here on the wedding day.
Just than massi enters
Massi: You don't have to worry about that I have made all the arrangements for her wedding outfit with JJ Valaya. Also I have got in touch with the jeweler he has asked you to come and look at the designs.
Anu Wow massi JJ Valaya Mammi is going to look like a princess.
Massi: Well she is a princess.

{Just than Tarun looks at massi and massi realizes her slip of the tongue Though nobody sitting there had noticed massi's discomfort after her comment Barnali felt something was fishy as tarun and massi after coming from MT Abu were spending more time together and she sometimes made false excuses to go out, things don't seem to add up
Baranli thinks I should keep an eye on those two I have a feeling finally things will work out to my advantage at last.}

Massi : Don't worry we will get you something better for your wedding.

We have Roshini entering at that time.
Roshini: Hi everyone it looks like preparations are in full swing. Comes and hugs Bani and Jai.
Bani and roshini are now friendly. More over she came to know that Rashi her hostel room mate was Roshini's niece and Bani had asked her to do some dress designs for her as Rashi ran her own Botique in England.
Roshini: I came to inform you guys tomorrow Rashi and Rohit will be coming for the wedding from England and Bani she has informed your dresses have come out really beautifully.
Sahil: Then we can expect some fire works here.
Ranveer just gets up and walks off. and Nachiketh excuses himself saying some lame excuse about going and seeing someone.
Pushkar: Can't you just keep things to yourself. Well Anu your adolescent hero is coming.
Anu: You guys are both the same. Once Pia is back I would love to see your face and she goes off too angrily. Sahil and Pushkar go after her.
Bani to Jai: What is happening here everyone seems to know lot of things here and we are at loss here.
Jai: Well I know few things but Pia's and Pushkar's is new to me.
Bani: What Pia is too young for all that? She has lot more to achieve before she settles.
Jai: hear the mother hen talking and they all go inside except for Tarun and massi. Barnali is hiding behind the wall and trying to hear their conversation.

Massi: have you got it confirmed.
Tarun: Yes I even spoke to the doctor and the head nurse at that time both are retired from govt. service they still work in private nursing home and they are willing to come and testify our findings.
Massi: Did you find out were they buried her.
Tarun: Since they didn't know any details about her she was buried in the convent grave yard. There is something more too I have a feeling Jai's dad came to know about it through them.
Massi: Why did he have contact with the convent people.
Tarun: It is not like that massi. Nishikanth had always given free lunch and gifts to the convent orphanage on the girl's birthdays and the death anniversary of his wife and Bani's mother. It seems that Uday had gone and enquired about this donation few days before his death.
Massi: I knew it finally I will be left to answers everyone's question. He had warned me about all this. Now Iam the only living person left to explain.
Tarun: Don't worry massi we have the proof now what is suppose to be the next step.
Massi; I will have to speak to a few people and fix up appointments. God I thought I had left that place for good.
Tarun: Think it as justice has finally come and who knows what the future holds.
Massi: One thing I can guarantee Bani will marry Jai then only this secret has to come out or if they have their way they will break the wedding with all their aristocratic notions.
Tarun: Bani and Jai are not kids they are matured adults and know what they want in life.
Massi: you don't know half of it.

Barnali So Bani is not Nishikanths daughter but then who's how come rugmani devi (massi) is so worried about it. Better check on the hospital records of Bani's.

The wedding was a family affair with very few close relatives, friends and important business associates attending while the engagement was grant Function and they had lot off foreign guests too hence the theme chosen was Gothic
