Ira sees within seconds a formidable man turn into an emotionally shaken man
I need to see her, to speak to her, to apologise, please…Jai pleads to Ira
Ira looks into his tear filled eyes…they are genuine….not now Jai…I do not know how Bani will react…but before I take you to her I need to know many things…
I will tell you anything which you need to know, Ira, I need to see Bani, I have been searching for her for over 5 months now, I must have a chance to apologise to her….
Hold Jai, not so fast…wait…you have to give me sometime….I must understand you Jai before I take you to Bani….she trusts me and I just cannot break her trust….
Ira asks Jai to wait for 5/10 minutes so that she can handover the afternoon cooking to Bani before she comes back here….
Jai looks down from the window and sees Ira walking upto Bani who is now fully facing him…she instructs Bani, they inspect the vegetables together and discuss for sometime…then he watches bani turning around and going towards the kitchen at the back.. Ira watches Bani's retreating back and ensures that she has gone inside the kitches and turns looks up towards a particular window …though she could see no one due to the glass film but she knows a pair of eyes was looking at them.
Ira goes looking for Harihar, finds him and discusses with him for sometime…then comes towards Jai's room…ensures nobody is watching enters Jai's room…no she is not afraid of what people will say of a young girl entering a male guest's room but she does not want them to get un-necessarily curious and start talking about.
For Jai, was getting tensed…he tries to read the book…no avail…what is keeping Ira…so long he wonders..suddenly Ira enters and closes the door…comes and sits on the sofa opposite Jai….picks up Jai & Bani's photograph and looks into it…they do look happy together…though he is bit too old for her but nevertheless she seems to be happy with him…..then what went wrong Jai….Ira looks upto to Jai…
Jai recounts to Ira about his marriage to Bani and their initial relationship and how they fell in love, Bani losing their child trying to save him from his family with Pia leaving her husband and coming to stay with them. The Dubai incident with Pia and Bani coming to him to celebrate Karva Chauth.
The next one month Jai & Bani were over the moon, everybody was happy to see them reconciled. Jigyasa & Ranveer though a little shaken but got around to convince Jai, that it was their mistake and they did it out of jealously towards Bani. Bani forgave them but Jai was extra cautions in whatever projects Ranveer was involved. He took Bani for a short holiday to London and on Bani's insistence had her checked up in a leading fertility clinic in London…she was absolutely fine they assured.. its just a matter of time…
Everthing was settling down well except for Pia who was becoming a nuisense of all sorts…..being very materialistic was becoming very jealous of her own sister, whenever she found Jai alone, she used to throw herself on him…recount the night they supposedly to have spent together ..whether in office or at home…Jai could not bring himself to inform Bani, not only because he was living in a dreamworld also Bani was very close to her sisters whom she brought up like her daughters….One evening after about one and half months of their return from Dubai, Pia announced that she is pregnant…though she & Pushkar stayed together in Dubai, but once returning she was back in Walia Mansion. Bani tried to convince Pia that now she should go back to Pushkar but to no avail…..One evening while was working in the study, Pia came in and stated that the child is his …he reminded her that he does not remember doing anything to her on that night but she says that she remembers everything crystal clear and no doubt with her monthly cycle, she is convinced the baby is his…with her arms around his neck Pia tries convince him and just then he hears her shattering of a glassware…Bani who was bringing him coffee is shocked to see them in this position….Pia went on babbling to Bani and Bani looked at him in his eyes…he was ashamed and did not deny or accept anything..…Bani went and locked herself in the room, he tried to speak to her, begged her to open the door but only could hear her sobbing….he spent the night in the study…must have fallen asleep towards the morning. She had left the house in the early hours. Believe me Ira, I have looked for her.
What is the situation now Jai….Ira asked…
Pia was forced to leave the Walia Mansion by Rano…I do not know Ira, Rano is a very quiet and observant girl...she might have confronted Pia or must have noticed how she wanted to blackmail me…anyway….to get myself rid of the burden of guilt I underwent a paternity test, as discreetly as possible otherwise the media would have made a feast out of me and my family…the test turned out to be negative and when Pia failed to trap me, she went ahead and again had an abortion without Pushkar's knowledge…Pushkar threw her out of the house this time…now she is working as a receptionist in one of my hotels. Infact I am here to escape her…she had come to my office the day before…Reva my secretary did not let her enter my room….I just cannot take it anymore…Sometimes, I feel that I should kill Pia and bring some peace into my life…then I remember Bani…she will never forgive me for that…and her forgiveness is the most important thing for me today………
I would like to know how is Bani and how did she get here Ira…
Ira loved to cook from childhood, though she did not do a full term course from any catering institute but she from time to time attended cookery classes, even when she was doing her graduation in English in Mumbai....after her graduation when Ira was wondering what to do next then there regular cook here decided to retire ..Ira replaced him…but from time to time Ira does visit Bangalore / Mumbai to attend cookery / baking other related courses when the season here is low, for short duration.
About 5 months back Ira was staying in the working ladies hostel, where she used to stay during her graduation, attending a french cookery class for 2 weeks, when one morning Bani walked in looking for Rima one of the girls she knew when she used to work in a hotel together but on hearing rima has left the city, Bani was at a loss…seeing her condition and sensing something terribly wrong, the hostel super brought Bani to Ira's room as it was the only room where a spare bed was available…..soon Ira left to attend her class and returned to find Bani in the same position in the evening. For the next 2 days nothing much happened except Bani giving her name as Bani Dixit, she left home following a fight with her family members…they thought since Bani was wearing no other Jewelry except for the solitaire, she must be engaged and it might be one of the cause. Ira liked Bani & seeing Bani's hurtful eyes and her lost look, Ira offered to bring Bani back with her to Mangalore, thinking after few days she will come out of her shell and confide, then they will get in touch with her family….Over 5 months now nothing of that sort happen and the only thing Bani is ever uttered is that she is a big failure in life…..Since she helps them in running the place, she gets paid but hardly draws her salary except to buy few bare necessities and toys and chocolates for the children at the orphanage she visits near here on her off hours…in fact today she might go as she is planning to bake a cake for the children…
They discuss for sometime about the next course of action…as a rule set by Bani, she does not come in front of the guests..so their coming face to face is not possible …Jai going to the backyard to meet Bani is also not a very good idea as now all the servants are around and moreover they do not know how Bani will react on seeing him, Ira does not want any scene and more so she does not want the integrity of her hotel at stake….
