The library is a small one with mainly paper backs and light reading…scans one or two magazines and then settles for 'Da Vinci Code' by Dan Brown. Everybody was raving about it but he never got a chance to read it…goes upto his room…..
He goes and sits outside in the varanda...the sea is lashing on the shores….and the moon shining bright….the waves foaming up…his thoughts go back to the day…the day he got a shock of his life…bani…wanting a divorce….when they found out Bani was pregnant their joy knew no bounds, he was over the moon so was she….someone of her own flesh and blood…my baby she used to tease him…and what about me …he used to ask..did it fall from the sky…I am the one who will carry it for the next 9 months she would state…are you asking me to get lost…then I am not going anywhere he would say very firmly by putting his palms on her stomach…they would then get lost in each others eyes….
Bani came to know about his involvement in the mother's accident within a few days of her pregency news. Though she went into the shell for sometime but was coming around when she realized it was just an accident on a bad weather day and failing breaks..but suddenly Bani filed a divorce…claiming his property in her child's name…why divorce…what is mine is yours…. …you want it in writing I will give it to you gladly…in whatever paper you want…nevertheless she went ahead and filed the divorce and started the proceedings…he realized something else was troubling her inspite of her not coming forward with the information…he could read her eyes…they always gave a different message from the actions she used to take…she moved into Pia's place much to his dislike…but then got fedup with Pia's bickering to abort the child… …why carry someone's child whom you do not love and want to divorce, Pia used to tell Bani….so when Bani filed the divorce claiming his property Pia was very happy…atleast di has got some senses at last…now she will not have to worry about her future….Pia being Pia had no qualms about working for the man her di apparently hated nor sharing her opinions what she used to give her di at home with him at every given opportunity …you feel so much for your child, mr walia but you cannot force anyone to have your baby nah…you cannot force yourself on my di…Force myself on you Di…only if Pia would know…He himself had heard Rano warning Pia not to get involve in Di & Mr Walia's matters…..things are not as the look…….she came back to Walia Mansion even though in a separate room…Jai was too happy to have her back in his house
The doctors warned Jai that Bani's stress level was too high…over the above…Pia followed Bani to Walia Mansion after few days following a fight with Pushkar…Pushkar was mad and rightly so…because she went and aborted their child without informing him…she is too young she claimed to have a baby and that too at the beginning of her career….
Being close to her sisters, Bani stress level shot up…and on the 1st day of hearing of their divorce case…she collapsed in the court room followed by miscarriage…he still remembers taking to the Hospital……. drenched with her blood…
Bani & Jai were heartbroken…Bani because she lost her baby and simply could not face her husband and Jai because Bani was not sharing her grief with him…doctors assured him with rest she will become o.k and can have babies in the future…she was young & healthy otherwise…..doctors said give her time…time is the best healer…
He got himself busy with projects and went on tours …Pia accompanied him…though he did not like her but she was a good organizer, loneliness was eating him and he was missing Bani like hell and one day in Dubai he came to know about the real reason of Bani's filing of divorce…he trusted Ranveer…though he did not like him much but since he was his nephew he had trusted him…his sister Jigyasa…who loved him very much…as she always claimed got along with her son at hatched a plan to take his property (or save it from Bani & her sister which she later claimed) and forged the papers accordingly. Bani coming to know that from Raashi, in her delicate state, to save his property without him coming to know about his own kith & kin's betrayal, filed a divorce thus freezing all his properties and any claim thereof. He was heart-broken, why on the earth he has to face so much unhappiness inspite of doing his best for his sister & her family…why does Bani have to pay the price of his sister's & nephew's wrong doings….he got himself drunk, had a fight with Pia who was again showing false sympathies towards him…does she have an idea what her sister has done for him…..thank god he never got around to marry her…god saved him ..he got more drunk…and got irritated as Pia was trying to make a pass at him…claimed she loved him…should not have married Pushkar as he was nothing compared to him…he wanted to leave the room….then he passed out & woke next morning in bed with Pia with his cell phone ringing and Bani asking can she come to Dubai to celebrate her first Karva Chauth with him….Bani his Bani…of course…why does she have to ask….he was waiting for her..
Pia woke up with the ringing of cell phone and was over the moon as she claimed they had a lovely time together…he was not sure and he does not remember anything he told her and informed her that Bani is coming by the afternoon flight to be with him for her 1st Karva Chauth..Pia threw hysterics…how can he do this to her…how can he allow Bani, who does not love her husband, to come to Dubai to celebrate Karwa Chauth with him…He got disgusted …you cannot make a woman understand if she refuses to listen to you…he barged out of her room…did he do anything with her…he was sure he was not in the state to do anything…but he does not remember…he quickly has bath….freshen up and waits for Bani to arrive….
Bani comes with Pushkar….too afraid to travel alone for her first overseas flight and moreover she wants Pushkar and Pia to unite…good riddance he thinks to himself if that happens at all...wanted to take her in his arms but being a muslim country you have to abide by the rules & culture of the place…collects her luggage…where is Pia…bani looks for her sister..god knows…to hell if he could send her there…must be in the hotel..informs Jai…gives Pushkar his hotel address and tells him to go there with the luggage while he takes Bani with him, he wants to spend sometime with her…Pushkar understands and leaves them…
