Part 3(a)

In the room, Bani was still seething with anger, her ears were burning and her breathing heavy. She started picking up bottles, brushes, make-up from the dressing table, threw them against the wall one by one, each time repeating "I hate you Mr walia, I hate you Pia" Next, she forcibly removed the pictures from the wall and smashed them on the floor. She didn't spare the bed either, beating it with the pillow unitl all the feathers covered the bedsheet. She went on like this until the whole room was in shambles . she finally collapsed crying profusely into masi's lap.
Masi had been sitting on the daybed by the window sill whilst Bani was venting out her anger. She didn't stop Bani because she knew Bani had to express these feelings if not she would turn into a zombie and the pain will eat her alive inside. She had been through a similar reaction with her sister. masi just wanted to make sure that Bani didn't hurt herself physically. Jai's mother had resorted to self mutilation when she found out about her husband's infidelity. Masi just wanted to make sure that Bani did not such thing. Gently lifting her up, she nudged bani onto the daybed, made her lie there and gently started stroking her hair whilst tears were flowing from both their eyes, none said a word. In this manner, bani finally closed her tired eyes and sleep overcame her. Masi covered her with a blanket and placed a kiss on her temple turned off the lights and left the room, which was in a state of utter mess symbolising bani's life at the moment.

Part 3 (b)

Jai had to leave for Delhi urgently. Some hitches in the new hotel project there required his personal supervision. He informed masi and before leaving peeped in on Bani. He saw her lying on the daybed in a foetal position. He bent down on his knee and gently stroked her hair being very careful not to disturb her. planted a fragile kiss on her head murmuring sorry with moist eyes. "please forgive me bani" he whispered, got up and left.

Basically over the next few days, bani never ventured out of the guest room, which was situated in a far corner of the house. She hadn't eaten anything for days nor had she uttered a word to anyone. She locked herself in that room and even masi couldn't get to her. The rest of the family had enquired about bani's whereabouts, masi told them she had gone to delhi with jai. she was afraid they would see bani's state and ask questions to which answers would put a black mark on the walia family honour. Rano and Saahil had gone to pune on business. Jigs and ranveer couldn't care less if they didn't see bani's face ever again.
The only person who kept calling bani's handphone was tarun. Tarun and bani had been working on the financing bernali had provided to saahil to buy the company shares and were trying to buyout the financing through an undisclosed third party, so bernali wouldn't suspect anything. When masi told him that bani was with jai, he called jai up only to discover that he was in delhi alone. So, where was bani?
