CHAPTER 7
-Jai, Anu and Jigyasa are at the hospital where Jai took Bani after she was attacked by Pushkar. The doctor just told them that she had to do a rape evalutaion so see if Bani was raped. They are all waiting to hear the results.-
J- Doctor kuch to bolieh!
Dr- Mr. Walia…im sorry to say but Bani Dixit has been raped.
J- Kya?!
(After hearing this Anu both grab eachothers hands and sit because they cannot stand anymore. They don't have the strength in them to stand. They begin to cry)
J- Doctor r u sure?
Dr- Ofcourse Mr. Walia. Aab hum Bani ki final check up kar rahi hai lekin kuch dehr baad u can meet her.
J- Thanks you doctor.(Jai turns to see that his sister and Anu are both crying)
A- yeh kaise hogaya…Bani keh saath yeh saab aur woh bhi Pushkar ne kia.
Jig- Hum Bani se kya kahenge…how will we face her…
A- Saab mere dosh hai…I left her alone there…I should have stayed with her.
Jig- Nahin its my fault…na main party pe jati, na mujhe change karna hota aur nahi tum Bani ko akeli chodti…
J- What party?!
Jig- Woh bhaia…main…
Nurse- Aap logo aab Ms Dixit se milsakte hai.
J- Tum log jao…main tum se baad mein baath karunga.
Jig- Gi bhaia…Bhaia woh…aap Rano ke liye ek car bejsakte…I told cachi ke aaj raath Bani humare gaar mein rehegi aur Rano ko bhi…so we need to brign Rano here…woh Bani ki behen hai..
J- Haan tum log andar jao…main kudh Rano ko lene jaraha hoon.
A- Jiggs chalo
(Jai leaves to go and get Rano. Anu and Jigyasa walk into Banis room. They see her just sitting up on the bead staring at the wall. She is totally emotional-less, she isnt responsive to anything. She is in serious shock.)
A- Bani…kaise ho tum?
Jig- Bani tum kuch baath ki liye chinta maat karo, hum hai na tumhari saath.
A- Haan we are here for you. Tell us what u need.
Jig- I know that we cannot understand what u r going through but still u can lean on us.
(One hour passes and Bani still is not moved and inch at all. Anu and Jigyasa cannot see her like this. Its their Bani, the one full of life and happiness and love. Now she is just like a statue. The hate to see her like this. They feel like crying but cannot because they don't want to upset Bani anymore. Just then Rano comes in with Jai)
R- Didi! Kya hua aap ko.?!
(Anu and Jigyasa pull her out side to talk to her. They explain what happned to Bani and Rano bursts into tears)
R- Pushkar! How can he do this…woh aab kahaan hai…uski himmat kaide hui!
J- Don't worry Rano…pushkar will get what he deserves.
(The girls enter Banis room again)
R- Didi, its me apki Rano. Didi kuch toh boliye please didi.
A- Bani hum saab ko tumhari chinta hai Bani?!
(Then they all walk over to Banis bead and Rano holds one of Banis hands, slowly Jigyasa and Anu also join in. They r just showing Bani that they are not going anywhere. At that moment, when all the girls hands are on Banis hands, she breaks down. They feel water on their hands and look up to see Bani crying. She begins to sob very loudly, which Jai hears. He gets scared not knowign whats going on in there. He get to the door and sees all 3 girls corroundign Bani and a huge hug, all of them crying their eyes out. Jai just leaves them be. They all need to heal together. He goes to the waiting area and staays there all night, while the girls are with Bani.)
(Its morning and they said that they can take Bani home)
J- (calls Sahil) Sahil?
S- Gi bhaia aap kahaan hai, hum saab kitne parashaan hai aur jigyasa bhi.
J- jigyasa mere saath hai, Sahil tum suno, kuch maath kahena, jaldi hospital aajao I need u here ASAP. Massi aur Dadi ko kuch bhi maath bathana. Tik hai. Aur hosake to Adi ko bhi saath mein lana.
S- Gi bhaia hum abhi nikal teh hai.
(In the hospital room the grisl are trying to get Bani in a better mood but have failed so far. Bani has insisted on going back to the hostel with Anu. They are all getting Bani ready to leave when Jai walks in)
J- Tum log tayaar ho…lets go then
A- Bhaia baas 2 minutes.
J- Tik hai main bahar tum saab ka intezar kar raha hoon.
B- Jai sir ek minute.
(They all turn to Bani because she hasn't sopken since last night. Jai comes to her side.)
J- haan Bani bolo.
B- Woh…thank you…aap ne mere jaan bachaiya…aap ki is essan main khabhi nahin chuka paunga.
J- BANI! What r u saying, u are like family. I did what I would have done for anyone of you. Don't say thank you!
B- aap se ek request hai…is hadsa ki bare mein aap kisi ko kuch nahin kahenge
J- Lekin Bani…Tarun…
B- Main kudh unko battaunga, baas mujhe kcuh waqt chaiyeh…main kaal hi unse baath karunga…
J- tik hai mujhe tumpar pura bharosa hai (Jai leaves)
(in the hall he sees Sahil and Adi coming)
A- Jai kya hua? Kaal raath se tum lapata ho.
S- haan bhaia, is everything ok?
J- Nahin kuch bhi tik nahin hai…look what im about to tell u u cannot repeat to anyone. I promised that I wouldn't tell but u r my brothers and I need your help.
A- Jai tum chinta maat karo, kuch nahin hoga…tum batao toh sahi kya hua.
(Jai explains what happned last night with Bani and Pushkar. Adi and Sahil are besides themselves. They both care deeply about Bani and hate that this happned to her. They are both furious at Pushkar.)
S- Bhaia main usko nahin chodunga, uski ki aaisi himmat.
J- That's why I called u…I want im so I can punish im myself.
A- Tum dono pleas shant hojao.
J- Adi!
A- nahin im behind u 100% just take it easy, don't be so hasty. We have to think this thru.
J- I don't care what happens mujhe Pushkar chaiyeh. Aur tum dono do not tell anyone.
S- Sahil don't worry bhaia, we wil keep quiet for now.
(They then take Bani to the hostel. Rano and Jigyasa stay behind to help her get settled in. Banis secres is safe for now. What they don't know is that Pushkar is hell bent on destryoing her life. He took pictures of what he was doing, and pictures of Bani exposed. He has taked them to the news papers and they will be printed tomorrow. He has also send the pics of Bani exposed in an e-mail to Tarun.)
…Chapter 8…what will happen to Bani when they see the Rape story in the next mornigs paper…what does Banis future hold for her…stay tuned for Ch 8…
