I wasn't going to update today but finished my work early so wrote this pretty quickly.....ignore the mistakes!!😳

Stunned silence descended on the house as Bani walked in nervously, taking an extra interest in the floor…she couldn't remember what had forced her to come to the house, but now all she wished was for her to be able to turn around and run like she never had before…with butterflies in her stomach, she looked up and was met with the familiar faces of her family, all looking at her shocked and with tears in their eyes…

Taking a deep breath, she made her way towards Mausi who was holding her chest and looked as if she'd collapse any moment…whether of happiness, shock, or grief, Bani really didn't know…after what seemed like an eternity, but couldn't have been more than a few seconds, Bani finally reached her destination…not daring to look in to Mausi's eyes, Bani bent down to touch her feet but was stopped halfway…

Almost immediately Mausi made her stand straight and before Bani could do little more than catch a glimpse of her tear strained face, Mausi enveloped her in a warm hug…all the motherly love and affection came pouring out as she wept uncontrollably on Bani's shoulder…even Bani was finding it difficult to control her tears…

Over the past two years, she had convinced herself that she could live her life without her family there, without their support, their laughter, their sorrow, and their memories…but this one hug had proved her wrong…

The woman who had been more than a mother to Bani, who had fulfilled her every whim and plea, who had made sure that she and Jai unite, had gone through so much because of her…Bani felt guilt for Mausi's tears, remorse at her decision, and hatred at her own selfishness…

The next few minutes seemed like a blur to Bani…the hug had seemed to arouse everyone else from their shock and before Bani knew it, she was being hugged left right and centre by Dadi, Mausi, Anu, Raashi, Pia and Rano…a good 20 minutes or so were spent crying, laughing, and in Bani's case, cuddling Abhay, and congratulating Raashi who was supporting a wide grin and bucket full of tears…

Even the men were ecstatic to have her back, though they were a little more dignified than the women who were now completely over their surprise and were screaming with joy…

Aditya blessed her, Sahil took her blessings, Pushkar pulled her in to a brotherly hug and even Ranveer was seen to brush a tear away as he told her how much he was happy to see her back…

The only two standing on the side were Jai, and a confused Nisha who had her arms around Jai's neck…when the noise had died down a little, the three year old turned to Jai and asked in a puzzled voice…

N: Boyfriend…why is everyone crying?!

Jai grinned and glanced at Bani who only seemed to notice Nisha…

J: Well princess, it looks like they're not happy to meet your boyfriend!

M: Munna!

Everybody laughed as Mausi attempted to hit him around the head before pulling him into a hug…

Knowing that there was only one more person left to introduce, Anu took Bani by the hand and led her to where Jai was standing…she tucked a Nishas hair behind her ear as she talked to Bani…

Anu: Bani Aunty, do you recognise this little devil…your princess, my daughter!!

Smiling, Bani took the three year old in her arms and gave her an affectionate hug as Jai leant slightly forward and whispered in her ear…

J: Nisha…my girlfriend…

Bani felt the colour rising in her cheeks as she remembered all those times when she had got annoyed with Jai for talking to Nisha…he also seemed to remember as he was now grinning down at her, not once taking his eyes of her, even if she refused to look in to his…

Jigs: Bani…

The chatter and laughter died down until it was replaced with a tensed silence as everyone turned to look at Jigyasa who had so far been watching everything at the distance…the girls glanced nervously at Jai who's face had gone hard and eyes held anger, though he tried very hard to control it…

As if sensing the tension, Nisha wriggled out of Bani's arms and ran over to clutch Jai's leg, though he made no move to pick her up…Bani noticed the uneasy looks and brushing away Anus hand which had tightened over her arm, Bani walked confidently over to Jigyasa who seemed to be standing separately from everyone else…

On reaching her, Bani glanced at her face, and out of respect if nothing else, bent down to take her blessings…startled, Jigyasa stopped her halfway, and Bani caught the sorrow in her eyes as she pulled Bani in to a hug…

There were no visible tears, but Bani could feel them as Jigyasa whispered in her ear, her voice cracking with emotion…

Jigs: I'm so, so sorry!!

As if to reassure her that everything was forgiven, Bani squeezed her shoulder gently…

Hours later…

The party had long ended and the large clock situated in the hall chimed to the time of 2 in the morning, yet the Walia, Shuklas and Chopras were still awake, along with Bani who insisted that she was now a Dixit…

Rano had successfully managed to kick Sahil out of their room and was now lying sideways on the bed, with her head resting on Bani's lap as her Di gently massaged her forehead…

Anu sprawled on a large chair while Pia, who was worn out from running around all day was half sitting, half lying down on the plush sofa in Rano's room…

Even Raashi had managed to over rule Ranveers orders of sleep and rest, and was propped up on the bed with half a dozen soft cushions and a large bowl of chocolate ice cream in front her…

Mausi and Dadi had only just left with a sleeping Abhay and Nisha had insisted that she be allowed to stay with her dad, nana and uncles…no doubt she would be pestering each one of them for an adequate bedtime story and promises of chocolate for the morning…

The silence engulfing the room was peaceful, and though the girls were tired from the party, each one felt completely content with their lives after a long time…

Rano: You know Di, everything changed after you left…

Anu put down the photo album she had flicking through and joined in the conversation…

Anu: It's true Bani mami…after Jai uncle found out what mama had done, he was so angry…he hasn't talked to her properly since…in fact, no one has…

R: hmm…everything just fell apart…Ranveer took me with him to Delhi and now he handles all the business there…

Bani's head snapped up at Rashi's word…

B: What?!

The surprised must have shown clearly in her face along with her voice as Rashi put down her ice cream and sighed, her appetite suddenly leaving her…Rano sat up looking glum and Pia also supported gloomy expression…

Rano: Yeah Di…at least Raashi and Ranveer are in India…Sahil got a business deal and took the next flight to London…that's where we're settled now and it doesn't look as if we'll be moving any time soon!

Pia: Maussi, Dadi and Aditya would have left long back if it hadn't been for Jiju…me and Anu come regularly to check on them and that's about it…

Anu: the only time I get to meet my brothers and bhabhis is on special occasions!

Rashi: And if it hadn't been for Nisha insisting, me and Ranveer wouldn't have even come for her birthday party seeing as my delivery date's so close!

Bani looked from one depressed face to another, taken aback at how everything had changed so much…the worry must have shown on her face as Pia gave a warm smile and came over to hug Bani…

Pia: Don't worry Di…everything will be fine soon…we've taken it on our head to sort out Jiju, Sahil and Ranveer…Why don't you go to sleep…you look tired!

Bani didn't bother to argue…the party had drained her of all energy and the prospect of a nice warm bed made her feel even drowsier…

Bidding each of them goodnight, she went to find the room Tony had shifted her luggage to…

Pia watched her leave before she fell back on the bed, lost in thought…

Pia: You know…we could do so much more if Di was staying here forever rather than only for 15 days…

Suddenly Rashi sat up, with a look in her eye, which told Anu that her mind was running at 100mph…

Anu: Rashi…what are you planning?!

R: If we get Bani Aunty to stay, we can easily sort everything out between Jai uncle and Mom, AND get Ranveer and Sahil back home…

Rano scrambled up in a sitting position, a grin stretching from one ear to the other…

Rano: That's right!!…Di will surely do something to bring everyone together…

Pia looked at the three excited girls and sighed…she hated to be the party pooper but felt it was better that she break it to them before they went way over their heads trying to plan something that would never happen…

Pia: Uhh guys…you're forgetting something…Rashi and Rano are leaving tomorrow…the day after at the latest!!…We can't pull this of in 24 hours cause Di seems really miffed with Jiju…and I hardly think me and Anu will be able to do it on our own!

Rano and Anu's face fell, though Rashi looked as if she wasn't going to give up…

Rashi: Well, we could try to get Ranveer and Sahil to let us stay a little longer…

Pia: Oh yeah…and since when ahs that worked?!

Rashi sighed…

R: I know it's a long shot…but it's better than nothing!...I don't know about you guys but I want to live with my family, and I'm ready to do anything for that!

Anu smiled and put her arm around Rashi…

Anu: Don't worry my jhansi ki rani…we'll do something!

Rano fully faced the three girls and put her hand forward, looking like a little girl who had just got the biggest piece of chocolate…

Rano: So from tomorrow, operation Di and Jiju reconciliation in action…Done…?!

Pia, Anu and Rashi looked at each with smiles on their faces before placing each of their hands over Rano's…
