"Hey…Is everything ready?"

"Yeah, just need to put this away"

"Sssh…He's coming"

"Someone put the lights out!!"

There was a slight hustle and bustle as everyone rushed to get in to their places…finally the lights were switched of, seconds before the door opened and Sameer entered the break room…

"SURPRISE!!!"

Sameer was taken aback as the lights were switched on and what seemed like the entire office came rushing towards him…some gave him a quick hug while others patted him on the back…Bani finally pushed her way through and gave Sameer a big hug…

B: I knew you'd get the Mumbai project!

Sameer forced a smile as he looked down at Bani who beaming from ear to ear…

S: I didn't…get the project…

The noise died away and was replaced with a stunned silence as everyone tried to take in what Sameer had just said…

B: W-what?!

Sameer cleared his throat and tried to look as if it didn't affect him, but the disappointment in his voice could be heard…

S: Yeah…apparently Mr. Walia didn't feel I was up to this job…He's handing this project over to someone more…more efficient…Thanks for everything guys, but…but I'm not the one who this party should be for…

Making one last attempt to look unaffected, Sameer turned round and headed towards his cabin to finish of his work…as soon as the door shut behind him, confused voices broke out, expressing exactly what many were thinking…if Sameer hadn't got the project, then who had?!

While everybody discussed this, Bani's shock seemed to wear off until it was replaced by complete outrage…she couldn't believe Jai, after everything that had happened, why did he feel insecure of Sameer?!…Burning with anger, she pushed her way to the exit and stormed to his cabin…

As she barged inside she saw him talking on his mobile to that same bloody Nisha, whoever she was!…

J: Yes baba, I know…Nisha, I said I would be there on time on didn't I?!…Yes!!…I've got your gifts!!…and…

Irritation clearly written on her face, Bani closed the distance between her and Jai, and snatched the mobile out of his hands before switching it off and throwing it on the coffee table nearby…Jai looked at her with a mixture of surprise and confusion…

J: Bani, what…?!

He stopped as Bani cut through his words giving him a murderous glare…

B: Who the hell do you think you are?!

Jai raised an eyebrow and tilted his head to the side, obviously catching on to her mood…

J: Excuse me…

B: Why did you have to take that project of Sameer?!…you know very well he was perfectly capable of handling it…then why are you handing it over to someone else?!

Jai observed her coolly as he walked over to his desk and flicked through a file…

J: Oh…

Bani looked at him incredulously…

B: Oh?!…Is that all you can say to justify yourself?!

J: I'm not trying to justify myself Bani…as far as I'm concerned, it's up to me to decide who takes up this project and it definitely won't be Sameer…in fact, I've already had a word with Mr. Oberoi and he agrees with me…Bani, the Mumbai project is all yours…you have to pack quickly, we're leaving tomorrow afternoon!

Bani stared at him stunned, not being able to take in what he had just said…Jai noticed her silence and turned around…the grin he flashed her seemed to do the trick and she exploded again…

B: What?!!…you are so cheap, so disgusting!!!…I would never have thought that you would break someone's dreams, everything they have worked for, only to get what you want!!…Get this clear Mr. Walia I'm going no where with you, and there's nothing you can do!!!…you and your project can go to HELL!!

Jai walked over to her and grabbed her arm…with a tug her petite body crashed into his, and despite Banis furious attempts to get free, Jai held her firmly as he hissed into her ear…

J: On the contrary Miss. Dixit, there's a lot I can do…and whether it be Mumbai or hell, I am going nowhere without you!

And before Bani could do little more than gasp, Jai had moved his head to the side and kissed her furiously leaving her lips bruised and swollen…

J: See you at 4, sharp!

And with that he left her behind in his cabin, fuming!

Yah I know........boring!!..........but I'm working on the next part guys....and hopefully you'll like it!
