okay guy's just an update part 8 will be split in two because it's so long i'm posting first part today and next part soon please bare with me i've had many sleepless night over this chapter thank's for all support specaialy loney14
CHAPTER 8 part one
Bani could have killed Mr Patel today, of all day's to to have a emergency meeting that to on the day of her son's first prize giving ceremony,Bani sat their watching one boring slide after another in the darkened conference room,Rahul sat opposite her,his mind also numb from the pointless exercise of this ridculous meeting,it seemed Mr Patel was not happy with the plan's of the new shopping mall,he wanted more lift's in the east wing and the architect's kept explaining that he all ready had 5 in the east wing and that 2 more was too much.Bani yawned and started to tap the table with her pen impatiently and Mr Patel noticed,
"Am i boring you Miss Dixit."
"No.no it's just i don't understand the need for two extra lift's it will just take up the room of one shop that's less revenue for you."
"Ahhh!!!!!!!,but my feng shui teacher said that my lucky number is seven and that all my chakras's are pointing east this week."
Rahul quickly swallowed some water to stop himself laughing and Bani bit her lip and also swallowed a lump in her throat,thank god the light's weren't turned on.
Bani stood up and walked over to the wall took out a marker pen and drew a big fat seven right in the middle of the east wing plan's,everyone in the room thought she had gone stark raving mad,all except Rahul,who stood up and started clapping,they all not knowing what to do followed.
"kKya idea hai bani,tumnai to kamaal kar diya"
Mr Patel not understanding a word but still clapping looked at them.
Rahul waliked over to the light switch and pressed it,the sudden brightness stun his eye's but within secound's his eye's adjusted.Bani was gathering her file's and paperwork and puoetly talking to the architect's they let out a huge laugh and left the room saying,
"Genius Miss Dixit genius"
"Simply superb idea."
mr Patel cocld take it no longer and walked up to Bani and Rahul and said,
"So two more lift's that wasn't so hard to work out."
Bani swung round and said,
"No Mr Patel, no more lift's just a fountain in the shape of a number seven you happy now."
Turning to Rahul she said,
"I'm leaving five minute's, i'm already half an hour late you coming."
"mujhe Mr Patel se bhat karni hai, i'll follow you in ten minute's okay."
Bani turned the key in the ignition of her car again,dead, not a sound she tried a thrid time,
"Damn,what's wrong with everything today,aaj ka din he bura hai"
First the stupid meeting and now her car,Bani slide out of her BMW pushed the shade's resting on her head on to her nose,waved the to the watchman and told him to send for the mechanic.
she was walking out of the front gate's of Malhotra industry office's,whan a passing silver mercedes screehed pasther it's tyre's veering toward's a nearbypuddle. Bani felt a splattering of muddrench her face and clothes,Bani turned to the passing car and shouted,
"tum apnai aap ko samjh tai kai ho"
The mercedes stoppped suddenly and puickly reversed,the passenger's darkened window was coming down,but then suddenly went up again,Bani ignoring this went to the driver and said,
"i want your boss to apologise."
"I sorry madam but my boss say's that they are not gonna apologise cause's it's your fault for not looking where you wre going,give me your address and my boss will pay for your dry cleaning."
Banu brimming with anger said.
"Stuff your money i only wanted an apology."
"I'm sorry madam i'm getting late."
And without a word the driver put his foot down and rode off down the dusty road.
The driver who had never dare speak to his boss before said out os sheer curiousty.
"Sory boss but why did you not let her see your face after all it was our fault you asked me to go closer so you could see who it was."
The passenger laughed and said,
"Our relationship goes back a long way,and she hasn't changed one bit even after all these year's,when the time wil come destiny will let us meet,and i have a feeling sooner rather than later."
Laughing the passenger ran a hand through there hair and barked at the driver to turn the air-con up higher.
Bani was throughly fed up,she tookout a hanky from her purse,she alway's seemed to neeed one because jai alway's seemed to attract dust or dirt,remembering her son she wiped her face and spotting a cab she out streched her hand and miraculously it stoppedshe climbed in and was about to tell the driver Jai's school address when she realized she had forgotten her camera at home, she recited her home address and the driver nodded and sped off.
After a quick shower and change Bani grabbed her bag plus the camera,she had the taxi waitng outside for 15 minutes,she told him the address of jai's school,just as the driver put his foot down on the pedal she heard the familiar tittili of her mobile,snapping it open and putting it near her ear,she quickly pulled it away the noise was deafening,pressing the speaker button quickly she said,
"Hello Rahul can you hear me"
"Hello Bani i'm at the ceremony were areyou,Jai's asked for you ten time's already yaar"
"Hello Rahul can you hear me i'm 15 minute's away."
"Hello Basni i can't hear past all this noise,but get here in soon Jai's presentation is in 15 minute's."
"Hello Rahul,Rahul can you hear me."
Suddenly he hung up,damn she was getting late,she asked the driver to go quickly and he put his foot down on the pedal some more,looking at her watch it was 7:20 she only had ten minute's left,the driver quickly swung the car left down a short cut and suddenly a police siren could be heard, the driver panicked and violently turned the car to the right and stopped it,thankfully the police weregoing in the other direction,the driver quickly reversed and headed off in the right direction looking at her watch it was now7:25,oh my god she only had five minute's left.The driver sensing her anxious mood increased his speed and as the auditorium came into view Bani said thank you pressed some note's in the driver's hand and lept out of the car grabbing her bag,the time was now 7:27,Bani ran as quickly as she could to the entrance,Rahul was puling on a cigarette and waiting for her,suddenly seeing her he shouted,
"Bani quickly there about to hand out the first prize."
Bani with a sudden surge of energy ran faster following Rahul who holding her hand led her through the entrance up the stair's in to the pitch black of the audience as her eye's adjusted she took out her camera,she heard Mrs Hussien on the microphone asking the chief guest to hand her pupil the first prize cup.The audience suddenly stood up and started clapping,damn Bani couldn't see the stage past all these people,Bani tugged Rahul's sleeve who had is back turned and was on the phone and said,
"Mujhe kuch nai dikhta."
Rahul laughing bent down on his knee's and told her to climb on his back,Bani shook her head but biting her lip and looking at the people blocking he view she quickly climbed on and as Rahul stood up lost in the crowd she looked through the len's of her camera and clicked a picture,Bani could feel her whole body quiver,off al the people in the world to give her son his first prize,she never thought it would be this person from her past,Jai stood clutching his trophy and the chief guest was patting his haed and posing for photograph's,the press photographer askethe chief guest to put Jai in there lap and take a picture and bani felt sick to her stomach,off all the people to see today,this was someone she had never wanted to see again,she climbed down from Rahul's shoulder's and nodded to the back stage door,Rahul nodded in agreement and Bani made her way over to the stage door a few parent's congratulating her on the way.
Bani was extremly anxious to see her son,she had butterfly's in her stomach and she could feel her heart beat getting faster,she had to get her son away from this person even if her life depened on it,spotting Mrs Hussein Bani marched forward and asked her were Jai was,Mrs Hussein said in the chief guest's dressing room,Bani felt a sudden panick and ran toward the dressing room a couple of guard's outside tried to stop her but she just shrugged them off,Rahul close behind her said,
"Hey guy's she's Jai's mother."
The guard said that their boss had asked not to be distubedand that the mother could go in but not Rahul,Bani looked into Rahul's eye's pleadingly and Rahul told her that if she neededhim let her know.
Bani noded and pushed the door open,she let out a sigh when she saw Jai playing with a hand held computer game with his trophy on the side.She smiled and walked over to him when a hand grabbed her arm and said,
"I've been expecting you Bani,it's been a long time."
Bani turned and faced the person and said,
"Hello Roshini,it's been a long time."
