PART 6
" Mr Rahul Malhotra is this your idea of a proposal."
Rahul totally stunned stood listening he thought to himself,
"I was gonna suggest dinner,maagaar yeh tu seedi shaadi pe agaiyee"
Bani fingered through the paper's she had in her hand and with a cute look of concentration that Rahul didn't fail to notice continued,
"Tumharee figures ko dekha hai"
Rahul thought with a wicked grin,
"Haan mein nai tumhaar dekha hai"
Rahul continued to day dream and stare at her face not listening to a word she was saying,Bani looked into his eye's and realized that he was not listening,she then clicked her finger's hoping to snap him out of his day dream.
"Agar asai din mein sapnay dekee jaar rahee ho,then no wonder your business is not doing well."
Bani pushed a stray hair behind her ear that was annoying her and Rahul noticed her long slender and thank god ringless left hand.
"Kya ho raha hai Malhotra industries ko"
As much as Rahul was a play boy,he dearly loved his company,much more then the ladies in his life and they all knew that."
Bani didn't notice he was being sarcastic continued,
"Look at the cost of your raw material,you could of found a tender for half the price."
Rahul Malhotra felt the blood rise up in his body,he could feel the anger build up inside him, his manager for five year's had assured him that this was the cheapest tender and he trusting him implicitly had blindley followed his everyword.Now Rahul understood how his manager had a sporty mercedes in his parking bay at work on his salary,it wasn't a present from a grateful friend but an ill gotten gain from all the bribe's he must of taken over the years.
Rahul looked at Bani,but through different eye's this time with immense respect,all the earlier mischief had vanished and he now had a look of stern concentration,Bani misunderstading him had suddenly felt she had over stepped her boundary and had hastly apologised and roughly handed Rahul back his paper's.
"No,no,there is no need for you to apologise,i should apologise,for this messy proposal,do you realize you just saved me twenty cores"
Bani's face turned pink with embrassment and she was turning to leave when Rahul grabbed her arm spun her round and said,
"Would you like to work for me."
Bani was floored she was stunned silent,Rahul continued by laying down all the perk's of working for Malhotra industries,a four bed flat in a plush area of Dubai,a car with driver,cook,butler,thrity day's paid leave a year and a big fat salary with bonus.
Bani smiled and her face lit up,Rahul stopped talking and looked at her smiling face,he thought he could imagine what her answer was and smiled back.
Bani and Rahul stood smiling at each other,it was as if an unspoken bond had been created between them,Rahul hoped this was the start of something special,little did he know how long he had to wait.
Bani still smiling said,
"When do i start."
Rahul almost jumping for joy said,
"Right here,right now,i'm going to meet my client straight off the plane,and i'm late,but never mind i would not have meet you then."
Bani followed behind him and picked up her suitcase and thought that this must be the luckiest day of her life,she'd been in the country thirty minute's and had found her ideal job,the only cloud over her happy mood was the secret she would eventually have to share with Rahul she thought patting her stomach,realizing she had stopped walking and Rahul had walked on ahead,he hadn't noticed Bani was not behind him and was still talking to her as if she was.
Rahul heard Bani's laughter and stopped,her laughter was like pearl drop's and Rahul suddenly caught up in the heat of the moment stared to laugh too,bani walked up to him handed him her suitcase,took the file and looped her arm around his free arm,walking across the airport,eveyone was looking at them the passenger's fresh from their flight,cabin crew snaking across the airport and family come to recieve their loved one's,they all thought wrong when they looked at them because to them they looked like a couple.
Rahul was listening again to Bani explaing again what was wrong with his proposal,he then realized that he had no idea what her name was and said,
"tummara naam kya hai"
Bani in full flow regarding his proposal said quickly,
"meera naam Bani hai aur tummara Rahul,i saw it in the file,now can we talk about the business",she said cutting him off.
Rahul continued to listen patiently,excited by all her enthasiam and quietly without her noticing took out the piece of paper from his breast pocket and threw it on the floor.
The woman had ben watching them for ten minute's and with every minute her anger had risen.it was now a blind fury,following them across the airport,she noticed Rahul drop something, picking it up she looked at it,crumpling it in her hand with anger,she said to herself in a determined but menacing voice.
"You will pay for this Rahul, i will make sure you do,if not now then later,watch your back Rahul,mein a raahi hu."
