I agree Pi! how long can morbid curiosity rule the ratings wars? I do watch reality shows.. but more so.. stuff like Dancing with the Stars & So you think you can dance.... Fear Factor.. NOPE!

Same here Soap...and well Indian reality TV to me is the musical and dance shows only anyways....Fear Factor India....c'mon spare me the agony! 😕
But I think the older and more conventional viewer tends to incline twds the saas-bahu shows anyways so eventually KS will catch up with them....it might not be the conventional serial but it's an Indian serial nevertheless with all the essential elements to keep viewers hooked. Now if only Kekta and her team redeemed it's original concept we the viewers would be spared the allegation of murder! 😛

When has Ekta ever redeemed a shows originalitu post C night, never I used to watch Kahin toh hoga and it seemed a different Love story, but post Sujal and Kashish C night it was all the same bull..more revenge, plastic surgeries..more confusing marriages between characters😕

Pi, its not the older viewer alone who watches the saas bahu shows, the women I meet here, mostly in their 20's and some in their 30's HAVE ALL WATCHED Kekta soaps for their daily dose BUT NONE OBSESS OVER IT, Like Sim says, they watch it and turn off their TVs and go away....


Speaking of obsession, WE WANT TO BE THIS WAY. We can only blame the show so much and mourn the loss of fave track so much......... Ab MT ko hi dekh lo she is a manic JW fan, she hasnt logged on IF nor watched a single epi the past week!!!!
So what does it say about our obsessions?
We cant alter it to suit our lifestyle?
You bet we can!!
Thats what we do. We dont TRADE our routines for it. (ab wohi karna baaki hai 😆 )

I am not saying Kekta wants us to give up our day jobs or college for it but we must draw the line between hobby and obsession...... as it is that line is very faint 😃

So true Adi...most of the ladies I know never miss an episode of any of there fav. shows and do get disappointed if they miss and episode but thats it..they don't let that thought bother them after the 30minutes of the showtime is up..I know Ekta is not out to rule our lives with her shows..we just tend to do that ourselves..the women has soo many shows she can care less about how it affects us..she is concerned about the money she rakes in..

I am very proud of MT..I would have a hard time doing what she did for a whole week as my life sad..but tru revolves around IF morning, day and night

Sim dont beat urself up, when ur mind find that next thing that seems more attractive it will get off this bus and hop on that one, it cud be ur real life JW hubby 😳 or that cute phirang or desi at work or may be even another TV show on Zee or a US ka TV show......

You cant tell me you will forever be faithful to this show and thsi character na?

I mean RK bhi itni loyalty nahi dikhayega kabhi Kekta ko. Apna kat lega when the next biggest pay check is offered by another prodn company........
Choose your loyalties carefully and do not let it over take your life 😉 😉

There was a time as a kid I would be so upset that I missed an episode of Buniyaad or Hum Log.. but as adults, I realize we have so many more things to do and therefore do not fret over a TV show. The 20 odd minutes is a way of relaxing and that helps us get back to what we were doing.

You know what I was thinking... its not the show that makes us come to the forum and am sure all of us feel that. we come to have discussions, read fan fics, form support groups when needed...its amazing how addicted we are to this forum.
Even if KS loses its charm in its entirety, I am sure we will still have some wonderful fanfics and discussions and that will keep the forum going.
