Chachi came from her quarterz and found Bani lying on the floor with the phone in her hand……she had almost fallen off the bed with the scream…….she splashed water on Bani's face and looked at her tear swollen eyes….
Chachi: kya hua beta…kya hua
Bani: talking really fast….chachi yaha se 10 mile door kaha hai…kaise jate hai
Chachi: Bani beta woh to door hai magar padal nahi ja sakte hai aur saabhi driver ghar chalegaye hai……Jai bhi toh nahi hai
BAni: mujhe jana hai…abhi…almost shouting yet crying…unke paas jana hai……unko meri zarurat hai…please aap mujhe batadi jiye…meh abhi jana chati hu
Chachi: magar bitya…bahar kitna kharab barish hai aur phir toofan anewala hai
Bani: mujhe kuch nahi pata aap batati hai yah phir meh kisi aur se raaste meh puchlu gi….
All bani could think of was Mr walia….him all drenched lying on the ground somewhere….she had to protect him…she had to
Chachi had no choice but to let Bani know the exact whereabouts was and how she could get there…she made sure Bani went with Bhadur the watchman…
Bani with a huge umbrella left with the watchman….worried, tensed, aggrevated…she didn't know what to do…all she could think of was Mr Walia in some horrible condition fighting for life and death…
All wet and drenched in the rain she approached the campsite where some workers were staying who worked out in the hilly fields...close by Bani could see the lights followed by a huge landslide blocking the road…..most of it was scraped to the side now with very few men left …most of them leaving in vechiles…
Bani approached the campsite but hardly anyone was left….now she was more worried….Mr Walia must be hurt and nobody seems to care…
Bani; suniye….aareh sir suniye…she tried speaking to some one..but with the rain and windy weather it was hard to make out his words…Mr Walia…she started to put hands out in the air to action to him what she was trying to say…Mr Walia…bade se tall se..yaha the…kaha gaye hai
The man indicated gone with his hands…and that he doesn't no where…..
Bani: kya unhe choth lagi thi….putting her hand to her head she shouted…KYA UNHE CHOTH LAGI HAIL….

Bani was restless she didn't know what to do….

Jai had finished up helping the guys and was heading for home home…Bani must be worried about his whereabouts..he had told one of the guys at the campsite to call the house and let someone know that he was on his way home…but if he knew his wife well she must be pissed at him thinking that he never cares for anything other than work………he smiled as the vechile dropped him off
Chachi: aareh Jai beta tum toh theek ho
Jai smiling taking off the rain coat and his shoes….slipping on the other pairs…: kiu kya hua??
Chachi: areh beta kisi ka phone aya tha…kuch kheraha tha..ki tum koi accident meh ho…Bani ne phone uthaya tha….. fikar karahi thi thumari…ro rahi thi ….thumare paas jana chati thi
Jai creasing his brows knowing very well how adamant Bani could get: kaha hai Bani…..
Chachi: mere laakh na karne par bhaddur ko lekar thumhe dhoondne gayi hai
Jai: kya???...really mad at Bani…aapne jane kiu diya…bahar mausam kitna kharab hai…aur toofan bhi aa sakta hai……
Chachi: meh kya karti beta agar nahi batati toh khud nikal jati….kisiki kuch sunti hi nahi hai
Jai was so furious…..kabhi toh demaag use karna chahiye….he got his rain coat up again and was going to head out when he saw Bani soaking all wet coming in at the entrance
Bani looked so sad and disturbed and tired…..she didn't know what to do…walking like a zombie in the house….as if there was no more life in her body…the rain or her wet state not disturbing her one bit
Chachi: aareh Bani beta tum toh bemaar ho sakti ho…..Jai toh theek thak ghar ageya dek?
Jai also had come running up to Bani.>: Bani tum pagal ho…itni barish aur toofani mausam meh kiu bahar gayi tum??? Angry he asked
Chachi: ruko meh towel lati hu??
Bani looked up to find Jai…tears of relief in her eyes….she didn't think of anything..touching his chest with her hands….running her fingers up his face……down to his shoulders…crying..kissing his hands…assuring herself that it was really him all fine and not a scratch on him….
Bani: aap theek ho??....sach meh aap hi ho naa??...toh woh phone…with that she started to cry and hugged Jai really hard……in between sobs she continued…aap nahi jante mujhe woh phone aya aur phir….crying more and wiping her nose….i didn't know what to do….car bhi nahi thi…hospital bhi door hai…..crying …by now she was shievering with cold….
Jai: Bani tum bikul bheegi hui ho…chalo kapre badal lo…dheko meh theek ho…woh cal tha kehne ke liye that im coming home…because of an accident der hogai thi and that im coming home.,....…taking the towel from chachi and rubbing her hair off…bAni was so clingy to Jai she wouldn't let go of him…and was talking like a lunatic
Bani: aagar aap ko kuch hojata toh….toh…??? ….meh kya karti…with that she got really mad…not wanting to think the worse…..
Bani: aap pagal ho…kabhi apne kaam ya dusro ko chor kar aap apne bare meh nahi soch sakte……
Jai was taken back in seeing this reaction in Bani …was she concerned about him…yeh Bani ko kya hua??...........why was she acting like this
Jai: Bani kapre badal lo taab baath karte hai
Bani: nahi mujhe kapre nahi badalni….agar aap ko kuch ho jata toh meh kya karti….kahiye…mera socha nahi..she was mad..very mad…sari raath bahar rahe….aur meri ya apni fikar nahi kar sakte the….pata hai kaise kaise kheyal se gusri hu meh……aapko kya…sirf kaam kaam kaam…she put her hands in the air and was mad at him…throwing her hands in the air….
Jai: very softly ….trying to calm her and hold her…BAni ??? Bani??? He didn't want her to get into her hysteria mode again….was worried now
Bani: nahi meh pagal nahi hu….i was worried dammit..what if something had happened to you…..i …I cannot live without you…meh aapke bagar kaise rahugi…mujhe aapki….
At that thought Bani stopped mid-sentence..she thought…he bhagwan meh….yeh maine kya khediya…
Jai eyebrows shot up with his head turned sideways…he couldn't believe his ears what he just heard.
Smiling..Jai: kya kaha zara phir khena???
Bani was shivering now…nahi kuch bhi toh…shivering more….it was more of the fact that what she had said rather than the cold….
Jai: Mrs Bani Walia would you for one minute stop being stubborn and get yourself out of those drenched clothes….
Bani looked up sheepishly not moving…did he just call her Bani Walia…those words such an effect on her that she just stood there dumbfounded…
Jai without leaving her eyes moved forward and before Bani knew it picked her up into his strong lean arms and carried her upstairs….he took her straight to their huge bathroom…..started the warm water the bath tub……picked up two different types of bubble baths.. and looked at her
Jai: vanilla or lavender…
Bani: huh?? Did he just carry me up or m I still dreaming….
Jai: Bani Vanilla or lavender???
Bani: just pointed at the lavender….
Jai: lavender it is…with that Jai put the lavender bubble bath in with the warm water filling the huge tub…
The warm wather started to foam and Jai coming to bani…got her dupatta threw it on the floor…..looking strait into her eyes….Bani was like under some spell she couldn't move…
He undit he kameez piece by piece..picked her up and gently lay her in the bath tub….sitting on the side of the tub he made sure that the water was the right temperature….
Bani thought to herself….did that just happen…oh my God Mr Walia neh..she turned beetroot red and looked down…a smile forming on the corners of her mouth….Jai noticed this…
the water felt so good…especially since bath was burning with shyness and happiness….
Jai: u are welcome…understanding the reaction from Bani…..get warm and than we shall talk …what say….in the meantime I will go arrange some hot chocolate…
As Jai came out Chachi had already a tray of cakes and hot chocolates already in their room….Jai smiled as he also got out of his clothes and go into his robe….it had got freaking cold outside aur yeh pagal ladki mujhe dhoodne nikli thi….but he was smiling while taking out the hot chocolate into two cups……damn she looked so beautiful when she was so worried and concerned for him……akhir admit kardi usne ke mere beggar nahi rhe sakti….
The sun was coming up slightly but with the warm fire the room was nice and warm….
Bani at the bathroom door in her robe.....Jai looked at her holding a cup of hot chocolate…
Bani came grabbed the hot chocolate and took a sip: thank you
Jai: putting his cup up as if saying cheers…ur welcome wifey….Bani smiled at that….
Jai sat down on the huge sofa and called Bani to him…Bani as if by some magic just swayed towards him……Jai pulled her onto his lap holding her into a hug
Jai; now…Mrs Walia would u care to explain what in the world were u thinking going out in this weather with nothing but ur normal clothes on in the middle of a storm…….
BAni sipping her hot chocolate…tingling with the effect Jai was having on her and tiredness creeping on her…..
Bani: woh …meh….aa…meh….woh…..
Jai: oh I see…tum bakri ko dhoond rahi thi
Bani: smiling…nahi woh nahi…..getting herself together…woh call aya tha…ke aap ki accident thi aur meh pareshan…I mean worried thi ki
Jai: ki ??
Bani:…ki….
Jai: ki kya Bani? Very sofly laying his head on her back….Bani in a comfy bear hug……kya bani??
Bani: I was worried ki agar aapko kuch hogeya toh Jigyasa aapko bhouth hi miss karengi aur worried hogi…aur phir aapka business behind hojata…
BAni hurriedly said the first thing that came to her mind….
Jai deep amused…and shock….: what??…kya???…he started laughing..slowly and than loudly…Bani got up all shocked …she didn't expect this from him….Bani stood up…looking at her hysterical husband…laughing like mad man….
Jai was crying by laughing and holding his stomach..tum mere liye pareshan thi kiu ki tum Jiyasa ki soch rahi thi….aur meri business….Bani that is the most funniest thing I have heard…..
Bani looked down with her cup almost empty in her hands and smiled….
Jai…coming close to her…..kaho nah…Bani kya sirf isiliye tum is toofani raath meh bina car ke…mujhe dhoond rahi thi??? Looking at Bani who was looking down….Bani very embarrassed and shy……
Jai holding her shoulders…Bani??....tumne kuch kaha nahi???....very softly seductively he said
Bani looked up…smiling….with tears in her eyes...tears of joy and relief…….Jai could see the love and care in her eyes for him….the longing the worry……
