Roshni puts the phone down and smiles to herself (evilly flicking her stupid fringe!!). A fool in love was so easy to wind up!! All she needed was Jatin to keep believing everything she said about Jai and Bani's relationship, and he would do the rest of her work for her! Jai Walia was going to regret the day he had left Roshni Chopra for this simpering girl……
Bani and Jai finally come out of the bathroom together. She is dressed in a pale blue sari with light yellow embroidery and Jai notices for the millionth time just how beautiful she is, how radiant her skin is. He is wearing his dressing robe, tied loosely at the waist, his skin glistening and his hair wet and tousled.
She goes to the dresser to put her jewellery on and Jai comes up behind her to tie the dori of her sari. He dips his finger into the sindoor pot and smudges some onto her forehead. He folds his arms around her waist and rests his chin on her shoulder.
Jai: You look so sexy when you're wet Mrs Walia….
Bani blushes and whispers: You too Mr Walia…
Jai kisses her shoulder: Bani, maine hi tumse kaha tha ke mujhe Jai bulao – lekin ek baat kahoon…?
Bani: hmmm…?
Jai: Jab tum mujhe Mr Walia bulaati ho toh…
Bani: Toh….?
Jai: Toh it makes me want to take you back to bed with me!!
Bani turns around and hits his shoulder. They playfight and eventually he grabs hold of her hands and pulls her close. He leans forward to kiss her lips but she turns her head at the last second and he kisses her cheek instead.
Bani: Aap ko aur kuch sujhta bhi hai?!!
Jai sighs: Jab tum saamne hoti ho to kuch nahin sujhta Bani…
He kisses her softly, savouring the taste of her soft lips.
Bani pulls away and wipes the corner of his mouth, trying to clean off some of her lipstick.
Jai: Rehene do na, aaj se tum lipstick pehenna hi mat – most of it will end up on me anyway!!
Bani giggles and disentangles herself from his strong arms. She walks away and he catches her arm bringing her back into a bear hug.
Jai, quietly: I'm sorry Bani…
Bani, puzzled: Kis baat ke liye?
Jai: Kal raat maine jo kahaa…. tumhaare saath jaisa bartaav kiya… I shouldn't-
She stops him by placing a hand on his mouth. Meeting his gaze she smiles.
Bani: Kal raat jo bhi hua us par mujhe koi afsos nahin. Bas shikva hai to issi baat ka ke aapne mujhse kuch kahe bina hi apne man me jaane kya kya sochliya! Aap soch bhi kaise sakte the ke-
Jai: Party ke raat maine tumhe aur Jai ko garden main dekha tha…
He expects her to blush and turn away but without breaking eye contact she shakes her head.
Bani: Itni si baat se aapne yeh sochliya ke main aur Jatin….? Vo mera bachpan ka dost hai Jai, agar maine usse ek baar gale lagaliya, as a friend, to isme itni badi baat kya ho gayi?? Us raat me usse daat rahi thi, kyun ke usne aap se rudely baat ki thi, he was sorry, we made up, bas!
Jai looks ashamed and lowers his head. Bani brushes a wayward hair from his forehead and runs her hand over his cheek. She knows it is up to her to remedy the insecurity her husband feels.
Bani: Me jaanti hoon ke aapne jab bhi kisse pe bharosa kiya hai, to usne aap ka bharosa toda hai. But you have to know, main aisa kuch bhi, kabhi bhi nahin karne wali! Jatin mera achcha dost hai, bas. Maine kabhi bhi kissi aur se utna pyaar nahin kiya jitna aap se kiya hai – aur na main kabhi karoongi.
Jai smiles with pure joy at his wife's honesty and hugs her tightly, burying his face into her silky hair. After a while she breaks away from him and begins to walk towards the door.
She suddenly stops and turns back towards him. She pulls him towards her by the collar of his robe and lightly kisses his lips. She takes him by surprise and before he can respond she is hurrying towards the door again.
Bani, blushing: Ab aap jaldi se neeche aajaye, mein aapka breakfast taiyyar karti hoon.
Jai runs a hand through his hair and sighs deeply. If it were up to him she would never leave his arms. "Is sheher se door hum dono ko phir se ek holiday pe jaana hoga, as soon as possible!" he thinks.
He quickly changes into a well-cut black suit, brushes his hair and makes his way downstairs.
Sitting down at the table he wishes everyone a good morning.
Jai: Dadi… kaisa raha jaagran? Kab aaye aap log?
Dadi: Hum to kuch ghante pehele hi aagaye the puttar! Ab naashta karke mein to sone jaa rahi hoon, neend aa rahi hai!!
Rano: Poori raat soye nahin aap, neend to aayegi na Dadi! Aap aur mummyjee so jaaye, kitchen ka kaam me sambhaal loongi!
Jigyaasa looks at her but doesn't say anything. Bani notices her looking at Rano with a mixture of suspicion and warmth. It seems the Ice Queen is slowly melting!!
She sits down opposite Jai who has been following her with his intense gaze. He sees everyone busy with their food and has a mischevious idea. Very slowly and slyly he brushes his foot against her leg. She is smiling at him as she puts some toast in his plate… he wanted more of a reaction than that!!
He runs his toes a little higher above her ankle watching her, waiting for her to flinch. No response! A little irked he rubs a little higher, a little harder. Suddenly he feels a sharp kick to his other leg! He flinches and looks under the table.
Rano is sitting at the top of the table between him and Bani. She bends down as if picking something up from the floor and whispers in Jai's ear…
Rano: Jeeju…
Jai looks at her, pleasantly surprised by her informal and endearing address!
Rano: Jeeju… ye mera per tha!!
Jai chokes on his own embarrassment and has a coughing fit while Rano tries very hard to control her giggling.
Bani: Paani lijiye…. Kya hua? Aap theek to hai na?!
He nods, drinking his water and avoiding Rano's laughing eyes.
Jai: Er… mujhe ab office chalna chaahiye.
He gets up to leave and signals to Bani to come into the hall with him. She makes an excuse and follows him, much to the knowing amusement of the others at the table.
In the hallway Jai waits for Bani to come outside. She comes out searching for him and gasps in pleasant surprise as he grabs her by her waist from behind.
Jai lightly kisses her ear and whispers: Aaj raat hum dono dinner ke liye kahin bahaar chale?
Bani: Mmmm… aap ko kaam se fursat mile aur aap jaldi ghar pe aasake to kya hum dinner se pehele Pushkar aur Pia ko milne jaa sakte hai? Kab se promise kiya tha…
Jai: Ok ok… lekin ek shart par…
Bani: Kya?
He whispers in her ear, a cheeky smile on his face. Bani squeals indignantly and turns around to hit him. He shields himself, laughing at her so piqued.
Bani, in mock anger: Ab jaiye aap kaam par!!
He kisses her soft shiny lips and sexily wipes her lipstick from the corner of his mouth again. Then, winking, he leaves for work, already counting down the seconds until he saw her face again!!

cho chweet, very cute and romantic part, hope this goes on and that jatin ka bacha stays away from their life.
only one comment though (pls do not mind), i just feel that:
when jai says sorry to bani for the previous night and that he saw her in the garden etc., and when bani so confidently refutes him saying that it was nothing, jatin and she are childhood friends and that what was the big deal if she hugged a friend, it was just a make-up hug ...........
i wish jai had just questioned her as to whether she thinks that jatin shares the same feelings about her and their friendship/hug, as she does ..............
that would have been really cool ........... he would have said it best without saying much at all ......................... his statement would have added a little twist of its own, it gives bani some own thinking of hers to do becoz she herself has been feeling a bit uncomfy with jatin at times, the way he touches her, remarks about her and says things about jai all the time ............... i feel jai having indirectly told her where his actual fear stemmed from i.e. jatin rather than her, would have been just great ....................

hope ur bro's sangeet went off very well. would love to say take ur time and keep updating as and when possible, but am being totally selfish and saying, pls pls pls update all the time so that some of us sorry souls have something positive to read about especially after all the negativity we watch on KS everyday 😊 just kidding, will wait patiently for ur updates. keep up the great work 😳
