Why was JW Appreciated?

I have seen a post earlier about that JW's life was a failure because as a man he has nothing to be admired about.

Let me tell you what my thoughts are on the subject.

Here are the things why I would admire JW as a man.

1) He took three orphans into his fold despite his sister's nay sayings. If people think that he did it because he was blackmailed into doing so, then I can easily refute the charges. He had no moral obligation to do so, there was no police charge against him saying that he killed Bani's mother. He felt guilty, just like I felt guilty when I ran over a poor animal that came under my car wheels.

2) He made no promises to Sonali that he would marry her, and he was pretty straight forward about it. He viewed her as his friend. She was never strung along. You would wonder why any woman would hang on when she knew that he was forty, he had no obligations to marry other people, had no fiancee or wife but did not commit to her.

3) He fell infatuated with a younger woman, Pia - he proposed to her and she accepted. Just like a woman scorned, he felt scorned when she did the 'Run away bride'. He should not have taken his revenge on Bani or Rano, but he realized it soon enough his wrong ways - it's better to be a man who accepts his mistakes than some one who is a stubborn monkey's behind.

4) He fell in love with Bani, he was a one woman man. He never felt the need to look at another woman. Then Bani seeks revenge on him, she loses his child, keeps secrets, blames him for his mother's suicide, then forces his hand for a divorce.

5) He *NEVER* EVER* wanted to bed his sister-in-law and it would be a shame to tell this audience that they admired him for going to bed with her. The whole forum was up in arms, no one wanted this stupid Jiju-Sali affair and they never condoned this ONS. In fact, there were bitter wars and words said against the creatives about the stupid plot.

6) Men can be raped under the influence of alcohol. And he was drugged (at least that part of the plot was insanely clear) and was taken advantage of.

7) His first crime was to try to conceal the affair and the child from Bani and he suffered greatly because of it. Again the audience never cheered him for it, they wanted him to confess. Most of the viewers hated it and were waiting eagerly for some twist in the plot that said that Pia had the child by some other person.

8) Then the Pia blackmail affair comes along and he is forced to commit his wife to a sanitarium and send her to jail - only because he doesn't want her to die. He is still a one woman man so far.

9) Along comes Aparaji Dev who connives along with Pia to blackmail Jai into even going to bed with her and marry her. But Jai saves himself. He completely sides with his wife even when she was intent on taking her revenge with the help of AD. Some of us term him as a loser because he acts wimpy in front of the macho AD who uses his servants as his target practice and uses a woman who is hopelessly in love with her husband as a pawn in his revenge. Some of you admire the man.

10) Then AD runs away with all the money and becomes a traitor (The so called love for Bani is gone down the drain and his love for money is taken over) and our couple have to deal with poverty and the constant ploys of a mad sister, Jigyasa and becomes jealous of Bani's judwa behen's truly insane husband.

11) His second crime is to become insecure with his age and his financial state and send Bani away (NOW, if any one should hate him, this is the only reason any one should hate him)

12) He comes to hate Bani and marries Meera in his hatred. Bani comes back and Meera is on the scene as his wife...of course Bani doesn't want to come between a man and his wife. (LOLzz...) SO now he is stuck with a wife he never loved (of course, no one wants to see Jigyasa's or Meera's wiliness in the whole plot)

13) As far as his business acumen is concerned, he still had 5000 crores🤣 after Ranveer fleeced him, after AD ran away with it all. If you look at the financial institutions today or some of the major companies in India where there are financial and accounting frauds, it's no big deal. The bankers still got billions in bonuses and the CIOs still didn't go behind bars.

Now as far as failures go, I really can't compare it with other BT heroes, because I have not seen even one.
But my friends tell me that all heroes and heroines of BT (Bajaj, Mihir etc) had been married multiple times, had tons of children regardless of 'Hum do and Hamare do' slogans and emergency dictates of Indira Gandhi. So why are we singling him out as a failure? Why do you consider some one that deliberately made two young lovers not gettogether because he was drooling all over the young woman (Both Bajaj and AD) as a hero but some one else who was raped or was blackmailed a failure?

If this is the case, then all women who are raped or blackmailed should also be considered as failures - this premise is pretty unfair and most of us who are women who will fight toot and nail for women's rights.

I think I have given enough reasons why he is not a failure. The reason I did not post my reply to the other post was because I felt it was aimed at putting down or taking a swing at several people who are fans of JW.

Now for the reasons he is appreciated...

1) He was a one woman man - after he got married to Bani. Before his marriage, it is no one else's business but his own.

2) He was a loving man. He took care of his family, he was a good father, he was a good brother (even though, his sister turned out to be the wicked witch of the east), a good friend, a good son (to Maasi and Daadi)

3) He was reasonably successful man (After all 5000 crores is worth something😆😆)

4) He was a dynamic man when he was not running around his jassoosi wife.

5) He was definitely attractive and for majority of this forum he still is an attractive man. So for attracting such following, he is a huge success.

I might open up another post wo show why AD or Ranveer are the real losers and failures in life - depending on my mood and depending on the responses....

I am in shock Sho, such praise for my munna. I am totally in la la land. At the end of the day for all the character failings, JW was a character people either loved or hated, and in both cases they could not stop talking about him so it's all good. I chide my munna always for his biggest stupid act and that was giving bani amma residence and his life was never the same again. Well can't hate munni either she made munna happy for a few nano seconds. All jokes aside with KS coming to an end I would rather remember the good things in KS, the characters these good actors brought to life and gave us this platform to endlessly talk about a fictional show and in the process make some great friends.
Good post Sho.

Nice post but concerning point 11. I soully blame Bani for that. Bani kept the truth from Jai about her having a twin sister and Daksh was her brother-in-law and also she kept the truth about Daksh's father threatening to take back everything if she didn't help Daksh. Jai hated Bani because he thought she was having an affair with Daksh and that she was responsible for his children getting killed all thanks to the courtesy of Jigs who put her own spin to the story why because Bani give her the ammunition by not telling the truth of the nature of her relationship with Daksh.
