I am so sorry for not updating sooner… things just got very hectic between work and home… hopefully I will be on track from now on…..

Jigs darling said Reshma .. what's wrong.. kya ho gaya…

Kuch nahi bus ghar ki baato se pareshan hu…. Three girls showed up in our house about a month ago... orphans…you see… now both Ranveer and Pushkar seem to constantly involved with the girls..taking them out be it college or shopping and then today I see Jaibhai too giving ride to the oldest one from work... baccho ka to phir bhi mei samaj sakti hu par…Jaibhaiya bhi…what's wrong with men…. Ladki dekhi nahi to fisaal ne lage…

I need to get rid of these girls ...quickly you see..

Kahi phaas na le…. may start having dreams about marrying into the family..…

Chapter 7

Nisha and Sarika were glad that they were done with their restaurant rotation complaining..

Did not meet the right kind of people at the restaurant….no one interesting at all…

Hopefully we will be able to meet them in the next rotation when we are at the front desk…said Sarika excitedly.

Bani, Sarika, Nisha and Rahul moved on to the next rotation where they were at the front desk.. greeting guests, checking them in and mainly interacting with guests that came in to the hotel.

One day at quitting time, Sarika and Nisha were impatiently waiting for Bani to finish…

Bani was with a customer who was not happy with the room that he was booked into.

Sir, I am sorry that you are not happy with the room. Please give me a moment to check and I will move you into another room..

While the customer kept grumbling, Bani very calmly and efficiently took care of the problem and gave the customer complimentary dinner coupons to gratify him…

Arre Shubhash, jara please Mr. Sharma ka luggage unke room tak pohocha dena…said Bani to the bellboy

So saying Bani started wrapping up for the day…

Bani tended to do more than her fair share…coming early, working later than necessary, making sure that everything was up to date for the next shift, being appreciated by her customers, colleagues and by her managers...all her hard work paid off when she received compliments from customers…

While going in and out of the hotel, Bani noticed Mr. Walia looking at her…as if he was making sure that she was ok….

Jai also made sure that Masi no longer waited for Bani to come home…

Masi, aap Bani ke liye wait mat kijiye….most of the time I am working late anyways…I will make sure that she has made it home safe and sound…

Bani noticed that the light in the study room would be on when she came in late…he always joined her at the dinner table saying that he wanted an extra helping of the desert and would love a cup of coffee …she knew that that was his way of making sure all was fine…

She tried to return his kindness and his concern by making sure that she made food that he liked when ever she got a chance to cook…

While helping Masi with dinner one evening…

Bani started talking a little hesitantly with Masi…

Masi aap agar naraj nahi hoengi to mei aapse kuch kehena chahati hu…Mei Pia aur Rano ke saath Walia Masion se shift hona chahati hu… in to a rented flat close by…abhi to meri naukri bhi teek chal rahi hai and I will be able to afford one now..

Kyu Bani…

Masi independent to hona hi na… can't depending on others for ever na and it is my responsibility towards my sisters.. jo mujhe nibhani hai..I am really grateful for everything that Mr.Walia has done for us but…

Mujhe pata hai tu ye kyu kehe rahi hai…Jigyasa ki bato ka bura maan gayi hai na…Bani tu to usse janti hi hai…bilkul bina soche, samaje hi muh chalati hai.

Hiding her face behind her hair…Bani replied aise koi bat nahi hai Masi… bus mei…

Dekh tum log Munna ki responsibility ho… mai to tumhe kuch nahi kehe sakti..You go and talk to him and make your decision…

So saying Masi walked away from the kitchen a little upset…

Bani knew that she had upset Masi but she knew that she had to this…for her own peace of mind and so as to not disturb the peace in the house…

She was a little apprehensive about talking to Mr. Walia. She had seen his temper at work, when he blew up, when his instructions were not followed…She knew he would surely be angry once he found out what was on her mind…she dared not approach him with this issue, not until she had everything in place…thinking maybe things might work out if she approached him when he was in a good mood…

One evening, Masi was complaining to Dadi as usual…

She grumbled...pata nahi mujhe is roj roj ki jhanjat se kab chutkara milega….kitni bar bolu...munna shadhi kar le..par ye hai ke manta hi nahi..

Bas kar lunga, Masi keheke nikal jata hai..ab diwali bhi ane ko hai….kitna sara kaam hai… ab mujse nahi hota yeh sab, Biji she complained to Dadi..

Ane do aaj use…

Lo aah gaya said Dadi…

Jai had heard part of the conversation and heaving a big sigh sat down by Masi.

Munna mujhe tumse ek bohot jaruri bat karni hai.. aaja idhar beth…

Jai tried to hide the smile on his face knowing that Masi was heading towards serious discussion and would get mad at him if she saw him smiling…

Composing his face he turned towards Masi...

Dekh Muna, mene tujhe itne din de diye hai…par tune kuch kiya hi nahi...

About what Masi..

Shadhi ka…

Shadhi ka????, said Jai...

Ha...ha...shadhi ka... ab ye nahi kehena kis ki shadhi ka masi..

Ha Masi, bus mei yehi puchnewala that …kiski shadhi…Masi…kya mei phir se kisike shaadhi mei jane ki baat bhul gaya? Masi, aap mujhe kaam par jaane se pehele kyu nahi yaad dilati hai….said Jai trying hard not to smile…

Lo dekha biji, kaise puri baat ko hi palat diya isne…

Munna, mai teri shaadhi ki baat kar rahi hui, beta…

...ab bata tu dhundega ya mei kudh dhundena shuru kar du..

Kya Maasi with a tongue in his cheek…

Ladki Munna, ladki…

Jigyasa jumped in saying....

Masi, waise I have a few friends whose parents are looking for alliances for their younger daughters…..also Reshma was telling me that her cousin who works in London is coming down soon…she is looking to settle in India…Aap chaho to mei usse bat kar sakti ho..

Na Jigyasa na…tumhari dosto mei se koi nahi…woh sab parties or kitty parties se hi upar nahi atti.. ghar kab sambhalengi aur gharwalo ka kayal kya rakhengi… na baba na ..Jigyasa ..mujhe to koi aachhi garelu, sanskari bahu chahiye... jo na hi sirf Jai ka khayal rakhegi par ghar ko bhi sambhalegi…

Just then Bani walked in with a tray with tea and some snacks…

Jai looked up at her...she was handing the tea cups to everybody sitting around…

Hmmm said Jai without taking his eyes off Bani…

While Bani walked away not noticing anything…Jigyasa observed Jai's interest in Bani, which annoyed her further…after what Masi had said…

So what is Jaibhaiya thinking….normally he would hide from Masi when she starts this conversation…today he just sat there as if thinking about something or was it someone??...observed Jigyasa.
