Hey guys!!!This is something similar to renaissance, I was planning to write it in a different way but it turned out something like before, I didn't feel like deleting it so I send it to kanta, it is a bit different… I hope you all like it…A Wet Night… …
Bani sat in her husband's room which was also hers though…she was alone…waiting for him, her husband of six months who was not yet home…even though it was closing midnight… … the room was almost completely submerged in darkness except the dim light of the lamp… he liked the Dark... if only for that he would come... It was raining outside very heavily… from time to time the roof groaned andsighed...it was a windy rain… the room was filled with a sound as if many thirsty women were loudly, hoarsely whispering... she sat on his bed for the first time… his bed was unmade… the white satin bed sheets were crumpled in whorls and piles of uneasy sleep... the thickly threaded soft black blanket dangled from the left side of the bed, tip of the blanket just suspended above the smooth very cold grey marble floor… it was a large strong built wooden bed and covered one side of the hugely spacious room...she made his bed quickly… She knelt on the bed she made on the floor for herself adjoining the window, her toes hardly sinking in the mattress…she looked through the glass paned window... she could hardly see anything outside... the wind and the rain had made a grey mist with many tiny silver rivulets on the glass pane…outside, dimly, she could see mud, mud, and a black figure getting out of the car…it was her husband…she wondered why did she love him so much even when he refused to acknowledge her presence…their 'Arranged Marriage' was more of an official business alliance between their respective father's rather than their personal relationship…their wedding was the seal on the merger stamp papers of the Walias and the Kapoors… he had always been against their marriage…she was willing to give it a try but he was adamant…and his stubbornness didn't help any further…she could understand his stance…their wedding was too sudden and unexpected and he was not ready…but over the past few months she found herself attracted to her enigmatic husband…and inevitably feel in love with him…heart was a foolish stupid fellow…initially his behavior was caustic but over a few months he was extremely well-behaved and surprisingly nice…their pretentious marriage was somewhere getting a shape… … Bani flung the windows open and the wind and the rain rushed in for a cold, and icy prickliness, for a happy engulfing embrace…and then he came in… Jai Walia entered his room to find his pretty wife sitting on the mattress on the ground…he had been a pain to her from the first day of their marriage…but she never did complain even once…Why?? He wondered…over a period of time he was getting drawn to his sweet, demure bride…she had touched his soul with her concern and lovingness…for the first time after his mother's death there was someone who was concerned for him…who took care of him…she had taught him to love…and a few days ago when she had gone to visit her parents, he had missed her terribly…he realized that all these days he was just fighting himself not to fall for her…but the truth was that he was head over heels in love with her… …and the only reason he couldn't dare to speak to her was his repentance...after his outright rejection he was ashamed to tell her that he was in love wit her…and being away from her was killing him from inside… …
Bani watched her wet husband enter the room…
He glided across the marble floor for the short distance in the room from the door…tiny droplets of rainwater flew away from him in all directions like little sparks... his bronze face was pale, his eyes closed tightly, it was almost as if he were dead… droplets were sliding from his kinky, charcoal-black hair... "You're wet" she said handing him a towel… Jai impatiently took it form her hand… he fumbled with his coat buttons…and threw it away…he briskly walked towards the bathroom…Bani kept looking at him…Why was he so restless today??? She wondered…
Suddenly jai stopped in his tracks…he turned back and reaching where she was in quick steps he hugged her tightly…making her wet as well…Bani just stood there rooted to her spot…in sheer astonishment…holding her by her shoulders… he stood before her, self-absorbed bewilderment on his face...his eyes moist… "I Love you…Bani…" jai said…in a croaked devoice… Tears welled up in Bani's beautiful eyes…her ears had waited for long to hear it from his mouth…she was rendered speechless… "I know…I have been mean and selfish…but Forgive me…forgive me…I…" before he could continue with his rambling…bani stopped him by placing her palm on his mouth…she tiptoed raising her height… she kissed his forehead…
She sat on the bed…her back pressed against the wall…while he engulfed her luscious lips in a potent kiss…his one hand went behind, unzipping her kameez…while his other hand caressed her bare waist…she clung to him…her hands curled around his wet neck…switching off the side lamp…his hands moved up to pull down her top…his lips traveled downwards…further down…unearthing her…while her lips moved in an uneven monologue sweetly whispering to him How much she loved him and craved for him?????
The rain outside had settled in an unfrenzy drizzle …. The black room was now filled with a low hum of raindrops… …
Their Wedding had finally culminated into a Marriage… …
The End… … God blessDhani
