Television actress Tejasswi Prakash, known for playing mostly positive characters in the shows, said she is not ready to play negative and secondary roles in her career yet. "I have only played lead roles till date and lead roles are never negative. In future, if I ever get a role where the character is standing out from the lead, then I will consider it. I wish to explore the comedy genre too. I was offered negative roles but I don't think I want to play them just yet," Tejasswi said in a statement.

The 26-year-old is currently playing the role of Princess Uruvi in StarPlus' mythological show Karn Sangini. The show premiered in October. Karna has been one of the most enigmatic characters of Mahabharata. His love stories are one of the most neglected aspects of the epic saga and thus the show Karn Sangini seems very refreshing. As an actress, Tejasswi has managed to leave quite an impact with all her performances. Off screen, she is an extremely private person and not very active on social media.

TV audience know her best as the insecure, passionate and vicious Ragini of Swaragini. The performance is regarded was one of the best negative portrayals in recent times. Post that, she returned as the loyal and fierce Diya in Pehredaar Piya Ki/Rishta Likhenge Hum Naya.
