It's very common in all these shows based on Mahabharat to whitewash kunti 's character and it continues in this show as well.. So kunti decides to go and tell karna the truth but stops because he has taken oath to side with dury..
This is not something mentioned in the book but makers have taken this route to justify why kunti kept quiet on seeing karna first..

i agree kunti is heavily whitewashed in all the shows on mahabharath she was one shrewd lady but she has been reduced to just a helpless mother because somehow making her grey will not click with audience weird logic 😆
i would love to watch a show where all the characters are shown in they way they are actually depicted in the original epic this whitewashing of kunti, pandavas , karna and blackwashing of dury n co has to stop all of them were grey thats where their beauty lies

Also, by making up the whole blood oath thing (was anybody reminded of unbreakable oath from HP?)They're actually undermining Karna. I don't think he needed any oath to always be by Duryodhan''s side. His inherent loyalty and Duryodhana's genuine affection were enough.

RIGHT? Kunti was hardened by her circumstances into a strong and smart lady. She was never going to reveal the truth until it was advantageous. Besides the truth wwould''e jeopardized not only Pandavas' but also Karna's life.

I was going to make a separate post on it. The very implications of that fictional oath are disrespectful to Karn-Dury bond. 😡 😡 What utter rubbish! 🤬

P.S. yes, it did remind me of the Unbreakable Vow from HP 😆

Perhaps if a Netflix show is made on Mahabharata... But that's just wishful thinking and another topic entirely.
