@Poorabhforever -
Draupadi is mentioned consistently as having been dragged by Dushasana. But in 2 places, there seems as though, she came to the Sabha herself and the abuses followed after she arrived.

First mention is in the direct narrative of the incident, when Yudisthir is said to have been sent a messenger to Draupadi. I find this one statement weird, bcoz it is impossible for a slave to command messenger to his wife, when everybody is watching him.

Second mention is during peace proposals, when Draupadi describes her anguish of that day. The shlokas are arranged as such that it seems like she said "I went to Sabha and was molested", rather than "I was dragged to the Sabha and molested". In my humble opinion - this appears to be a writing anomaly.

I would suggest you to read the epic from CE. The link to pdf is given in the front page. You will get a lot of answers to your questions when you read yourself...😆 better than what we can provide. Coz, at the end of the day, we give our own interpretations and opinions, and yours might be different from ours. Also, don't forget to read the Preface. 😊

Ok, going into a different topic now. Enough of Karna Draupadi, Karna Draupadi, Karna Draupadi...🤢
Are there any consistent mention of cousin marriages in Mahabharata? Arjun-Subhadra is one. I hear, Sahadeva-Vijaya were cousins too. Are there any other instances?

I haven't come across any other cousin marriage than Arjuna's. Sahadeva's I haven't read. So cannot say. Was Vijaya a Madra princess?

Has anyone here read the P Lal translation? I heard that it is too poetic to be missed. Is it available online?

I have read a few passages. It is a transcreation of Mahabharata in poetic form, and most likely follows the Calcutta Edition of Mbh from Asiatic society.

It is not available online.

Not from the Mahabharata, but the marriages are of the most loved character of the Mahabharata, from Shrimad Bhagavatham. Krishna married two of his cousins, Mitravinda and Bhadra.

Also, I think I read somewhere that, Parikshit's wife Iravati was Uttar's daughter.
