A sudden sense of ease , and comfort setting in, she looks at him... as he continues to look at her, partly lost in thought... partly in wonder at the woman in front of him, ready to give her all.... capable of seeing only the good.... in him despite all...

Lost in thought, gazing at her... not really looking... he wonders..."What have I done... to get her.....", but yet as he thinks, he slowly removes his hand from her shoulder.... when she slowly looks at him...breaking the silence.. says..."Aapne khaaana nahin khaaya...."....."aap fresh ho jaaiye..."..."main khaana laati hoon.....".....turning around to walk out...

Almost spontaneously , "Nahin....."... as she turns to look back....as he continues... haltingly..."wo...."... "mujhe..."............."bhook nahin hai...."....

Expecting her to stay back , he turns around to lie on the bed... when he notices her walking towards him... .. as she stops right infront.. and looks at him... fondly... . a flicker of a smile on her lips, the dimple on cheek,. deep.....her eyes saying it all. ......"sacchi mein bhook nahin lagi... yaa.....", her eyes... teasing him... her head tilted as though assessing him teasingly...

Unable to escape her gaze... he nods , naughtily... "Okay... awwright.. lagi hai... bahut bhook lagi.... ", holding his stomach.... his face really looking tired.... hunger evident on his face, smiling weakly... as she smiles faintly... "Abhi aaayi...." and turns to leave.... as he watches her go... and not really realizing , smiles... looking so at peace... relieved....

If their silence echoed their pain, their guilt, their lonely cries... so did it echo today, their sigh of relief, their sense of peace with their ownself... with each other... their step towards acceptance... of each other... their relation...

Like the calm , that prevails ... after the devastating storm, that brings hope and stands a witness to a beginning... so was it for them ....A beginning....
