The first rays of the morning sun, feeling warm on his body, Shiv stirs awake lazily... to notice ... his bed side empty.... the events of the night flashing back... suddenly. her fear, her nightmare.... and wondering if she did remember anything at all and thinking, for her own good, he hoped not....
Noticing .. he was unusually late... goes about his morning routine and noticing Gauri wasnt around..... wondering if she downstairs... heads out, downstairs.. for breakfast......
At the breakfast, things were getting back to little normalcy..usual conversations about office between Mahen and Daksh, while Nikhila maintained a uncomfortable silence... Dadi and Dada...apparently still miffed with Mahen and Nikhila... but Dadi more in conversation with Gauri... and Shiv...
Dadi had apparently calmed down... with Shiv, after her talk with Shiv, the previous night after dinner , along with Vivan....when Shiv related everything that ensued at Alok Ji's house and Dadi was pleased about Shiv's stand in the matter .... although... she expressed disappointment in him for not sharing his thoughts with her... earlier.....
Having not shared a word with Gauri at the breakfast table, while she was serving and was one of the last to finish her breakfast, he a lil surprised with his ownself... heads back to his room.... waiting on the bed... lost in thought.....
A while later... Gauri slowly walks in... and noticing him there... seems surprised... "Ji..aaap..." as he looks up..."aap office....", stopping midway.... the touch of questioning tone not escaping her voice... when he calmly...replies...."haan.. wo.... main tumhara wait kar raha tha....... "..
Looking perplexed....she walks over to him and sits beside him.... when he says..."Gauri.... ".... pausing .... wondering .... how to say it all......" Kal main Delhi jaa raha hoon.... teen dino ke liye... ek business conference... hai.... ".... and noticing she was tooo quiet ..... hesitatingly... continues.... looking at her... and then quickly looking away... and then finally looking at her again..."Wo main... soch raha tha... ki tum bhi.... chalo..... ".. as she looks surprised....when he quickly adds... "tumhaare liye ek change hoga....aur Delhi bhi dekhlena... "... smiling awkwardly.... when she quietly adds.... "Par aapka kaam....aur itni jaldi... wo...".... "Dont worry, tickets arrange ho gayi hai..... kal shaam ki flight hai...."...when realizing what he had looks at her sheepishly.... as she looking him... quizzically... suddenly breaks into giggles... as he joins her.....

The day at work being unusually hectic , Shiv gets totally engrossed and tied up at work , leaving him tired and restless at the end of the day, when he finally decides to call it a day and readies to leave the room, picking his bag, when he notices the magazine, he was reading the previous night, and remembering what had caught his attention back then... qucikly replacing his bag on the table... opens the magazine searching for the page..... and finally noticing it... a lil thoughtful... reads it carefully... taking in the details... picking the magazine along, quietly leaves the office.....
Pulling the car into the driveway of the mall, quickly makes his way to the store...
At the store... in conversation with the salesman... showing him the magazine... "Aah, I need this design... "... when the salesman, as a routine, starts off... "Sir , iski keemath...."... when Shiv cutting him off... "That dosent matter....".... and smiling confidently... a bundle of nerves inside... asks him..."bas jus show me the piece..."... a strange sense of being the odd one out... making him cringe... there as he sat there staring ahead at the showcase glittering in the lighting of the showroom....
Wondering, what was taking the salesman so long.... he starts fidgeting with his wedding ring , running his hand through his hair... his face now contorted in obvious irritation... when he notices , the salesman.. coming out... with a tiny box.... smiling.... and with a strange growing sense of excitement waits to see it...
The dazzling shine of the single stone... a mere stone... yet ... it held an aura , like a lone star, as he sat there mesmerized.... and finally , about to lift it ... remembers her face.... as he saw by the ocean side the previous day.. smiling... the same deep dimple...the surreal glow to her face....as she stood against his favourite backdrop of the setting sun over the ocean horizion... the picture so clear , as he relived the moment.... his reverie... broken by a voice... "Sir... shall I pack this.... "....breaking out of this thoughts... "Yes .. please... "... carelessly... flipping his credit card across... watching the salesman go away.... he wonders....staring at his cell phone...
Back at the Kapoor Mansion, Gauri is busy picking her sarees and outfits for the three day trip.... as she pauses seeing the Saree he had gifted .... running her fingers over it fondly... when the ring of her cell phone, breaks into her thoughts...
Noticing it was Shiv, "Ji Shiv...".... "Gauri...." "Uh... tum ho kahaaan ab....?...".... finding himself silly... at what he blurted out... "uh... I mean.... ".. when she slowly cuts .."Ji wo mujhe mandir jaana.. tha... bas nikal rahi thi....." looking satified at her assorted of clothes she had finalized... as she hears....him..."theek hai... I'll ... I'll meet you at the mandir.... "... "Ji?"....and noticing he was silent.."Ji theek hai.....".... and goes silent .. when "Uh... Gauri...".. in a sudden urgency...."wo... Kaunsa mandir jaa rahi hoo...? "... sheepishly.. he asks... while she replies.... a slight tingle.. in her voice... "Wo Durga Ma ki Mandir... "... as he cuts in.... "haan.. awwright.... see you there...."... and before she replies....the line goes dead.... smiling she looks at the phone... and picking up her favourite saree... a lovely... deep red... heads over the changing room... to get ready for her meet with her hubby....
At the temple.... as she stands, her head bowed ....extending a silent prayer... "Ma... mujhe shakti dena ki main is shaadi ko nibhaaon.... Shiv bahut acche hai .... Mujhe unse alag nahin hona ma... Agar ye mere karmon ka phal hai ki meri unse shaadi hui hai... tho ... itni shakti do ma, ki main karmon se , unke saath, thodi aur zindagi jee paaon....."... and finally finishing... slowly turns around... to notice...Shiv... standing behind her... his head bowed in a silent prayer....
Watching him, offering a prayer , in such earnesty... seemed strangely nice to her... a smile beginning on her lips.... in admiration....when he finishing his prayer... looks up to see her smiling and suddenly feeling a lil awkward and shy... quickly.. says.... "Chalen....?".... as she smiles.... and joins him... and taking the final prasad.... from the pujaari... walk together ... back towards their car...
Driving in silence... they dont exchange a word, as some old melodies on radio FM... and Gauri extends her hand to increase the volume and hesitates... and sits back.. and enjoys... when Shiv... without really looking.. increases the volume and smiles to himself... looking the other way... and she looks at him... totally looking smitten....
A few minutes of the drive, and the route seemed too familiar to Gauri and with a growing sense of excitement , looked forward to where they were going.. with each passing moment, growing sure of where they were heading....
Seated on the bench....on the beach, watching the sunset, the everyday wonder of nature.... yet again...they enjoy the moment in silence, watching the sun set over the ocean horizon.. as Shiv slowly in a calm voice..."Gauri.....".... as she slowly looks at him...and he watching her... a lil haltingly..." Is shaadi se ..."... " I mean.... pehle... jo kuch hua ho.. main azaad hona chaahta tha.. aur tumhe bhi karna chaahta tha... par...".....as she looks , a hint of admiration for him... in her eyes..."ab.... ab...main jaan gaya hoon... ki agar.... vishwaas ho...tho... shaadi nibh sakti hai.....main nahin jaanta ... ki pyaar kya hai ya agar maine ise mehsoos kiya hai........ par itna jaanta hoon.....I want to see you happy.... ".... realizing he wasnt really saying what he wanted....
"Uh... Gauri.... what I mean to say is.... main tumhaare vishwaas mein ...ab vishwaas karta hoon... and I dont want that to break ... tumhaara yaakeen kabhi nahin tootega.. .... I mean... Main ab... yeh shaadi nibhaaana chaahta hoon... for you...."... as she watches him in awe and admiration... as he adds...looking her straight in the eye.. suddenly very confident ..."Sirf tumhaare liye....." , as a tear escapes her eye... and watching her...he feels his eyes going moist.... as the final glimpse of the crimson sun over the ocean horizon escapes.... the sound of ocean waves.....breaking the silence... neither of them wanting to break the harmony of the moment....
The moon up and glowing in the grey sky now... Shiv suddenly realizes...breaking the moment... "Uh.. Gauri...." pulling out the tiny box... not gift wrapped... "yeh tumhaare liye........wo main...." handing it to her.. as she with trembling hands.... a mixture of excitement and ecstasy... written all over her face... opens it.... the dazzling shine of the tiny stone... making her blink... as she stares in awe... while he slowly... removes it ... and taking her hand gently... places it on her ring finger... as she surrenders to the overwhelming feeling of ecstasy.... tears flowing down her cheeks... as she watched him... her man... her destiny... it was their moment.....as he watching her ... wipes her tears away.... holding her hand in the other... as the tears , long unshed... flow..as silent emotions are shared between the two kindred souls....
The dark night making way for a new beginning ...
