Shashank is the man who Gauri was originally suppose to marry, but he left her at the alter resulting in the marriage of Shiv and Gauri.

Mahen is Shiv's father and a friend of Alok's. (Alok is Gauri's father)

The lady in the picture is Shiv's aunt. She doesn't like Gauri or her family and taunts them at every moment possible. She is accompanied by Palak, Shiv's sister.
