Her heart started beating fast as she neared Shiv's house…She rang the doorbell….Mai opened the door…

Ekta: Hell! What brings you here?

Gauri: Well Mai…you asked me to come and collect my painting kit..

Ekta: Well…Gauri its just 7 in the morning…I mean is this the right time?

Gauri just nodded…she went to her room…she freaked out as it was in such a messy condition…

"Shiv" she yelled…

Shiv who was enjoying his tea in his room, spilled his tea on hearing her scream and he ran towards her room…"What happened?"

Gauri: What happened? You're asking me what happened? Just look at this room….check the dust on the table….the bedsheets unchanged…check out the cobwebs in this room…I mean how dare you keep my house so untidy!

As Gauri reached home….. for the first time she felt that she was all alone in this big bad world…her baba hadn't spoken to her from the time she came back, Masima only spoke to her whenever needed, she betrayed her best friend Ipshita's trust, Anupam…for him Gauri was now a stranger, Ekta Mai…she was more of a mother than a sister to her and Shiv…and Gauri broke her faith, Gopal…for him she didn't exist….somehow she could tolerate everyone's bitterness and hatred towards her…but she just couldn't tolerate Shiv's behavior towards her…she knew that she shouldn't have treated him that way, she knew that she shouldn't have spoken to him that way, she knew what she did was not only wrong, but also ungrateful….afterall…Shiv held her hand at a time when everyone she thought her own had betrayed her….and what did she do in return…..

Gauri's thoughts were interrupted…her mobile beeped yet again…she was shocked to see ten missed calls…

"Ya Prateek, tell me"

"What the hell do you think I am? From when am I trying to contact you? Where were you?"

Gauri: I…well I just came back home….

Prateek: Oh right, you had gone to the great Shiv Kapoor's house….so did you collect your stupid painting kit…

Gauri:Ya…

Prateek:Freak…I've wasted enough of my time on this stupid conversation…now listen I have a meeting to attend now…today in the evening we shall meet at SNG mall at say 7 pm,and then meet my parents… right…okay..bye now…

"But Prateek…." The call was disconnected by then….she was in no mood to go out…however….

That evening, she reached the mall on time…but as usual Prateek hadn't come…he send her a message that he would come a little late…so she decided to do some window shopping….

As she entered the mall...she saw Shiv…her face brightened up…she was so happy…she saw him going towards the clothes section…she followed him….Shiv was browsing through a few collection of saris…when she walked up to him,

Gauri: Hi Shiv!

Shiv:Ohh… Hi…

Gauri: these saris are really beautiful, na…

Shiv: You bet it…

Gauri saw a really beautiful blue coloured sari and she really loved it…and to her surprise..Shiv inquired with the salesgirl about the same one," How much is this sari for?"

"Rs 10000,sir"

"Alright, just pack it…"

Gauri: Shiv…I liked the sari…but it's just too expensive…you don't need to buy it for me….

Shiv: Excuse me! You're mistaken…but this sari is not for you….its for someone special….

Gauri was taken aback by what Shiv said…"Someone special…Ganga right"

Shiv: Ya Gauri….Ganga …I guess whatever happens in life happens for the best…I'm so happy for you…that Prateek has come back to your life and I guess your getting married to him…That too on my birthday…I guess that's the best gift I could have ever asked for…getting rid of you the day I was born…

Shiv couldn't complete his statement….Gauri just ran out of the mall crying…she just couldn't control her tears…She met Prateek near the entrance of the mall…but she was least bothered to acknowledge his presence…Prateek wondered what was the problem with Gauri…he did not call out her name…because all the people in the mall had their eyes fixed on her as she was crying and he didn't want to be part of the embarrassment…

However as Prateek turned back, he caught a glimpse of Shiv and he understood what the problem was….he was angry…

He walked up to Shiv….

Prateek: So what do you think of yourself? And what the bloody hell are you doing here?

Shiv: Bloody Hell! Who the f*** are you to tell me this? Is this your property?

Prateek: This is not my property…but Gauri bloody hell is…do you understand?

As Prateek walked off…Anupam and Ipshita who were hiding behind the counter surfaced before Shiv….

Anupam: Well done champ!

Shiv: Well the credit goes to you'll…had you'll not informed me that Gauri's coming here…this would never had happened…

Ipshita: Oh come on Shiv…We are doing this only for your happiness…

Shiv: I know guys…but Gauri… I made her cry today…and I feel terrible…

Anupam: Oh that's alright…it was necessary…anyways…you see she'll come back to you very soon…

On the other hand….Gauri was walking back home…she still had tears in her eyes…walking she came across her favourite ice-cream palour 'Baskin Robbins'…she stood there and just stared at the shop… she went back to her memory lane….

Once it was late in the night…Gauri wanted to eat an ice-cream…she didn't know what to do…the stock at home was over…so she went to Shiv's room, 'Shiv ,mujhe ice-cream chahiye…" Shiv was deep in his sleep…"Gauri…raat ke 12.30 baje hai…which shop would be open at this time…don't worry I'll get you the ice-cream tomorrow!"

"No…I wanna eat now..Now…now!" Gauri threw tantrums just like a child…

"Alright…!" grumbled Shiv as he got out of his bed…

"Oh Shiv…u're such a sweetu…."

"Sweetu???" exclaimed Shiv….

Anyways…there were dressed in their night dress…At around 12.30 in the night…in the streets of Mumbai…finding a place where they could get ice-creams…the roads were clear…hence it was fun driving…but all the shops were closed….But Thank God…this shop(Baskin Robbins) was open….

"Prey and how come the shop is open at this time?" said Shiv…

"Who cares??? I just wanna have my ice-cream! Jaldi chalo Shiv!"

He carefully parked his car…well you can't trust the traffic mamu's even at this time of the night, right…..

The shopkeeper was shocked to see a customer at this point…"Yes, how can I help you?"

"Ice-cream chahiye…jaldi do…!" Gauri said excitedly…."She's such a kid!" thought Shiv and he smiled….

Shiv couldn't believe the choice of ice-cream she chose for her and Shiv….Black current scoop with another scoop of butterscotch, vanilla, strawberry dipped in hot chocolate…..the weirest combination….but somehow both of them enjoyed the ice-cream…the shopkeeper looked at them and exclaimed,' you'll are the weirest customer I've had in my whole life….i mean look at you…dressed in your night dress…hair shabby…eating the weirest combination of ice-cream and enjoying it too…I mean i'll go crazy!"

"you're right!" said Shiv "we're weird…b'coz we're crazy…and we'll make you crazy too!"

"How?"

Shiv replied," by not paying the bill! I've forgotten my wallet! Hehe….Run Gauri Run!" and the way Shiv-Gauri ran out of the shop towards their car and sped off…the shopkeeper came running out of his shop…till date they never had the guts to go back to this shop…

But today…Gauri decided to clear the dues…so she entered the shop….the same shopkeeper was there…

"I want to pay the bill for the ice-cream I had once upon a time…"

"Bill?…for which ice-cream ma'am…and it's not possible that you can go without paying ,due to the token system…"

Gauri cut his conversation…" the day I came with my husband …was not any ordinary day….uncle…do you remember…we had Black current scoop with another scoop of butterscotch, vanilla, strawberry dipped in hot chocolate….and we …."

"And you'll ran away without paying the bill b'coz you'll had no cash,right!"

"Right…actually…"

"Its alright my child…you do the weirest things only when you are in love…and the love you'll had for each other was so visible…so I won't charge a penny…."

Gauri thanked him and continued walking….she felt so lonely…she missed Shiv….

She reached home…and she didn't realize how time passed away…only b'coz she was thinking of her Shiv…She went to her room…the sound of the wind chimes made her cry…it made her realize the value of the person who was so important in her life…how much she hurt him…
