Meera had a dialogue in the very first or second episode that she was in the process of completing her graduation via distance education, the medium of instruction being Punjabi.
Before BV came in to write the scrplay, there were not many lines reg her education. MeeVaan used to argue on manners back then. Post BV days of Kaleerein are so typical... Meera herself goes about admitting she's a "gawar". And the whole point is lost on me. Either BV hasn't seen the first few episodes... Or she herself thinks Punjabi medium equals to uneducated ... Or it is a deliberate attempt to pass off meera as a typical telly serial FL that she was not. Why? Perhaps to evoke sympathy... Or maybe something else. I am just as lost and disappointed. It needs to stop.🥱
I missed the reference to her graduation. 😲
It is a mistake on BV part not to ignore it!
As I wrote earlier, her dialogue with Vivaan was a compromise and sometimes I also think Meera calls her self 'gawar' to shut down any further discussion. As if to say, 'I am not as educated as you and I am still going to do what I think is right.'
I do have a problem when her dialogue is mumbled and confusing. Or when they make her look clumsy with technology. They could have shown the MeerVaan laptop scene, without Meera battering the keys. I think the director and editor are at fault as much as the writers.
In one of the first hospital on location videos, check my the TRP thread, we clearly see Vivaan pulling Meera away and when she falls, he actually pulls her up by the elbow. Then Meera speaks her dialogue clearly and without mumbling.
During the episode Meera can not speak properly. It is disappointing that they would deliberately choose to show her like that. 😕
