Before BV came in to write the scrplay, there were not many lines reg her education. MeeVaan used to argue on manners back then. Post BV days of Kaleerein are so typical... Meera herself goes about admitting she's a "gawar". And the whole point is lost on me. Either BV hasn't seen the first few episodes... Or she herself thinks Punjabi medium equals to uneducated ... Or it is a deliberate attempt to pass off meera as a typical telly serial FL that she was not. Why? Perhaps to evoke sympathy... Or maybe something else. I am just as lost and disappointed. It needs to stop.🥱

I missed the reference to her graduation. 😲
It is a mistake on BV part not to ignore it!

As I wrote earlier, her dialogue with Vivaan was a compromise and sometimes I also think Meera calls her self 'gawar' to shut down any further discussion. As if to say, 'I am not as educated as you and I am still going to do what I think is right.'

I do have a problem when her dialogue is mumbled and confusing. Or when they make her look clumsy with technology. They could have shown the MeerVaan laptop scene, without Meera battering the keys. I think the director and editor are at fault as much as the writers.

In one of the first hospital on location videos, check my the TRP thread, we clearly see Vivaan pulling Meera away and when she falls, he actually pulls her up by the elbow. Then Meera speaks her dialogue clearly and without mumbling.

During the episode Meera can not speak properly. It is disappointing that they would deliberately choose to show her like that. 😕

They really spoil her character with these silly taunts on her education and when she tries to act as you said 'gawar'

Good point Sofna!

The CVs have done this to accommodate SM's character perhaps...

It is but not that more... because no body has many in tensions to kill someone. All are busy with their works so much that no body cares what others say🤢

Yes, we do not live in a perfect world but the CVs could have done better than what we were shown...

I'm very sure. Meera had said this herself. 😆

precisely. It is irritating when she tries to act like a "gawar". I don't like those lines they give her. She is confident otherwise but she has to reiterate again and again that she is "uneducated"... even when she is not? 😕

I admit we live in world infested with corruption and private hosp scenario is even murky. Like what Sofi said adding tests to connive out more money is only one of the aspects. It's prevalent here. 🥱
But despite all that what got to me was the SAME doctor turned into a cold blooded murderer within few hours? And he is a senior doctor. Such inhumanity on display...they could have avoided at least that part. 👎🏼

Were there too many character compromising dialogues in that tea scene with Vivaan?😕 I don't remember. It was fine na?

Otherwise yes... She cannot be that clumsy with technology going by how they had portrayed the character during initial days. I still feel these are changes incorporated by new writers to make meera more of a desi FL and as you said... to suit SM.

I don't really understand why she keeps saying that "gawar" thing to Vivaan. Has he ever called her uneducated? I can't remember that either. 😕 English vs Punjabi thing has to be taken THAT way?

Sree not only in the tea bt the blood scene too - the list was endless.
What happens to these moments of epiphany when she returns to jhansi k rani mode?

I understand as May said she was giving 'hazar' reasons of how it was her fault - bt was it required to that extent?
Her acceptance she's partly to blame for this mess was enough.

Even desi FL are not shown this silly. They have a sensible character graph.
Meera is all over the place.

@Sofa and Sree - I was referring to compromising to pacify a loved one. Yes I know Meera doesn't know she loves Vivaan yet (or do I think something else 😕) and she is asking him to stay with Amaya. 😳

I was not referring to character compromising. I think I can not cope with so much analysis. 🤣
